Ok, I watch all this as a European. But I have to say: now I start to understand your project. And I believe it very much is something the United States need at this point in time! I wish you all the best of luck and a fantastic future!

It is always such a delight to read or listen to Dr. Shillinglaw discussing Steinbeck. Anyone interested in understanding Steinbeck's life and art should read her exhaustive works on the subject.

Excellent and exceptional program that affirms the fundamental principles upon which our nation is founded. Thanks for reminding me of these core values based in community and confirmed by compassionate concern for all who struggle during these difficult times. Well done to all!

I am a Croatian living in USA. When you go to Croatia, you can still see a boat load of vessels like Western Flyers. I would not call it a “Croatian style” but it has been certainly a type of vessels boat builders were familiar to build.

Great effort on providing 800 meals. Sorry couldn't help but notice the brand new red F150 that enjoyed your efforts. It's perfectly ok for people to enjoy the food but if you have resources you should make a cash donation to help continue the effort. Keep up the good work. Those truly in need appreciate your efforts.

Geez... what can I say.. this stirred my emotions.. made me realize it is time I gave back too.. I have had a blessed life.. Good friends and family, plenty of work.. But now I am 68 and even though I have always been one to lend a hand or one that you can count on to help.. they have always come to me.. it is time I went to them.. What a great foundation you have there.. Thanks for stirring the thoughts in me you have.. carry on!

While it's true the current pandemic doesn't "choose" poor or wealthy people, the apparent democracy of the situation ends there. It is no secret the poor are suffering much more as result of COVID-19. And this is true for all aspects of their lives. Their livelihoods, their homes, their healthcare or lack of it are all at much greater risk than that of the wealthy. The poor don't get to phone it in. You can't pick lettuce remotely. To say that the current pandemic affects everyone tends to suggest everyone is suffering equally and glosses over the reality on the ground like so much marine varnish.

I love and support migrant workers. As long as they're documented and here legally. They should be afforded the support that the national security of food production deserves.

All those in the queue can afford to run recent vehicles, including 4x4s, and, they can't feed themselves?
    I don't believe it.
Perhaps, if they chose to burn a bit of their excess body fat off, by walking, for instance, instead of burning gasoline, they might be able to stand on their own two feet.

Sad to see, but only in Kali do the "poor people" drive up in their Caddy Escalades for the free food giveaways. Do these freeloaders have no shame?
NO knock on what WFF is doing (at all), but sure is hard donating my hard-earned $$ to feed all those "poor people" lined up in their new cars and such.
