These updates have addressed most of the complaints I sent them in regards to the first version. This feature was the reason for why I first bought the software. So Im glad to see that it is starting to come around.
One correction. On davinci 18.6 you can already delete portions based on text. Say you first work on deleting all the boring stuff in your video file transcript. They will then get strike through. After tou are done deleting all the unwanted stuff, you can do “insert” and it only inserts the remaining stuff on the timeline. I find this is almost the same as what you show on davinci 19. Except that on davinci 19 you can transcribe the timeline, not just the clip.

I suggest than in the transcription you number sequentially the seperate lines for faster referance to something one saw but has no other referance to refind it.

How to fix this: I have no icon for Transcribe under Media Pool. I must right click to pick Transcribe from menu.
The only thing I searched was how to ripple delete without deleting all silence parts. This question wasn't answered ...
Okay, got it from another video: Just activate trim mode before deleting text. That's it.
Do does it only work one clip at a time? Or, can you transcribe multiple clips in the Source Tape view for all the clips in one bin? If so, can you edit text from a single transcription of multiple clips?
Hi, Is there a way to select Speaker one in the transcription file for the whole audio file and put it onto a separate track? This is for a podcast. workflow.

I've watch a number of videos and can't figure out how to just edit the transcript when it transcribes the wrong text. For example... "I wonder how the people" is supposed to be "I wonder about the people" but I can't find how to change "how" to "about" I feel like this should be so obvious but no one has addressed that and I can't find how to do it. Can anybody tell me?

Been using DR's Create subtitles from Audio since it came out. I havent tried the Transcribe untill now. I have an hour and half video with a lot of dialog in the first one third but tha last third has a lot of preformances that include Music and sining. Whell Transcribe and Create subs don't work for Real world video other than talking heads. I also tried to extract a 4 minute segment by using the in/out in the time line but it transcribed the entire hour and a half video. Now it's impossible to find just 4 minutes out of a hour and half transcription. Then when I did find it it was all wrong, not usable at all.
Is there a way to change the padding for removing the silences? There are cases where it tends to cut into parts where i'm talking
How can I use this feature, when I have multiple clips? For example one person talking into the camera and a screenrecording of its computer. I want to link them, just use one audio and textedit my two videos at the same time…
I have been trying to export the audio transcription from my DR19 project with the speakers identified but I have only been able to export the transcription without the speaker labels. Has anyone had more success with this than I have?

Why would they not make that a ripple delete..... I hope they change that as the beta goes on.
Maybe because it'll also delete other clips. For example if you have b-roll on top/below the footage. Working on multiple layers of footage and it shifting your edit and messing up (music) timings etc. isn't the best idea. But there's the remove silence button, so that works fine right? Maybe they could add a ripple delete toggle in the future
If I got it correctly you have to choose the Trim Edit Mode
Can you edit the text in the srt file?
Totally! It's a regular .srt file you can export from the menu, edit with a text editor, and import it into the project again (just drag and drop it in the media pool)
I have 19beta Studio installed. Decent hardware specs including Nvidia RTX3080 Transcription works (just as it did in 18.6) however if I activate speaker detection first, it sits there a while then crashes. Thoughts?
You can try updating to the newest studio Nvidia drivers. Don't use the video game drivers.

Removing silances might be fine for People that have to think between each statement but what happens when you have a demonstration that has NO DIALOG and that gets removed as well. Come on BMD what U have is a grate start but for people that make real world videos not just instructional videos it next to useless. Try transcribing a musical or a bands preformance, Or anything that's not just a conversation. Things that make up real video.
