Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
Şehzade Süleyman, en yakın adamı Pargalı İbrahim ile birlikte çıktığı bir avda alır kötü haberi. Babası Yavuz Sultan Selim Han vefat etmiştir. Şehzade Süleyman hiç beklemeden, İstanbul’a doğru yola çıkar. Şehzade Süleyman hızla payitahta ulaşır. Hiç beklemeden cülus törenine katılır. Bir günde hayatı değişmiş. Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

Poor mahidevran. She never realized her place. She isn't a valide sultan. This position is temporary. Suleiman clearly knew her real face. Her appointment was a trial. She failed as usual
This is one of the times where Hatice used her bias along with her justice to judge the situation. Mahidevran had the lawful right to make any decision regarding the harem, as she practically replaces Valide now, but her grievances with her because of what she did when SS fell ill stopped her from taking her side in the issue.
Actually hatice is correct. It's true that mahidevran can do whatever she wants but by doing this she is portraying hurrem as a victim, which will force Suleiman to act in her favour and Mahidevran will loose her position as a result. This is exactly what valide did, changing hurrems chamber, taking her kids away, killing her horse, even trying to marry her. That's why Suleiman intervened and took a stand for hurrem. Mahidevran is literally forcing hurrem to go to any lengths to get rid of her, and that's what will happen.
@@richajain7753 Oh yes, that's right, but Hatice didn't take that into account. Hürrem was truly presenting herself as a victim in this situation, but Hatice's main reasoning in stopping Mahidevran was because she was apparently "crossing the line" which is simply incorrect. Besides, the situations are a little different now. Hatice stood behind Valide's methods in getting rid of Hürrem before and *she* was the one insisting on Valide acting against her, because she acted against the traditions and tried to interfere between her and Ibrahim. Currently she has seen another better side of Hürrem and another worse light of Mahidevran, so now Hatice does what she has in monitoring Mahidevran's decisions. And SS wouldn't act in Hürrem's favor here, he's purposefully waiting to see what are the moves of them all going to be.
@@plams4488 agreed. But if mahidevran had actually been succeeded, she would loose her position sooner than she did. The woman is more interested in making hurrem suffer than thinking about her son's future.
@@richajain7753 Eh, I think SS would wait until she fell more and more, because this is virtually nothing compared to everything else she did in these episodes, but fair enough, it may accelerate the process. And yes, it's honestly a part of why I love this plot arc - now she detaches herself from Mustafa because she feels it's a last fight she has to fight against Hürrem in the position she has dreamed of having, but this turned out to be a cathartic process for her as well. After she lost her position, after she left for Manisa, she fully focused on Mustafa's future.

Mahidrevan was entitled since day one because she was not robbed and forced into the ottoman empire. She was given as a gift to Suleiman and because of that she was always what you consider whiny and bratty.

Red is for hurrem blue is for mahidevran
I think red is Muslim, blue is Christian… Hurrem wears blue for a while then after she converted she wears red. 🤷♀️
@@thebigw3651i don’t think so because they don’t take muslims at all as a slave or worker it’s forbidden so I think the colour resembles their level the new and old ones
@@raghadhater8520 then how come Hurrem was always called a slave? Hurrem converted well before Mehmet was born and that’s when she started wearing red. She wasn’t freed by Sulimon until much later. Maria/Gulihal is still enslaved and a Muslim convert until she’s stabbed. Edited to add: this show is so full of inconsistencies they probably overlooked that fact like many others.

Mahidevran tried everything all ethical and unethical means she defeated hurrem on many occasions but could never get the affection back from sultan Suleiman..
Can anyone explain the necessity of this scene? No record of Hatice and Mahidevran ever stepped in Topcapi never mind having authority in the Ottoman dynasty.
Mahidevran ruled the harem in order for Hürrem to make one last stand against tradition in the face of the sick Valide, Mahidevran and Gülfem later. Along with the apparent narrative belief that Hürrem has to gain every single victory if she fights for it, not by right, hence the show twisting the whole hierarchy. This plot arc was one of the best applications of that belief, to be fair.

Pure fiction trying to make it seem like Hurrem had to win every battle to survive. Hurrem ruled the harem after Valide died. Mahidevran was long gone with her son and but was actually banished and married Sultanas like Hatice were not allowed in the harem.
Hatice never involved in harem business, she can give advices but not involve as she is below the sultana that rules the harem. Hurrem ruled the harem right after valides death and was the first sultana to ever live in topkapi palace and in valide sultan apartment as ayse hafsa died few months before the apartment was ready.
From i know, female royal member actually lived in the Old Palace. During Süleyman era, he changed this tradition, build harem in the Topkapı so female royal family can lived there. But i think Hafsa was died before renovation completed and Mahidevran gone with Mustafa, so Hürrem was first chief of the harem ladies who lived in the Topkapı. But of course producer decided to added some drama.

This time I feel too much anger for hatice she always under estimate mahidevran... for every kind deed she done to hurrem... hurrem returns it in form of harsh sorrowfull slaps to hatice. At last hatice ruins in a very miserable way... that good deeds which she done to hurrem were infact her big sins
