Bought mine in the summer of 1984 and took it to Alpine Valley Wisconsin to begin my journey recording the Grateful Dead. I graduated to a TCD-5M by 1985, but the trusty D6 got me going. I eventually traded it for my first car in 1986, a Toyota Corona. This tape deck has a warm place in my heart.
@@lgindoffchannel I guess both of these models were very expensive at that time… but when we are talking about construction, performance and reliability they are awesome and builded like a tank.
Great content for walkman lovers, bro. Thanks A LOT!!!!!
Thank you! There will be more Sony walkmans in the future. Cheers!
I'm going to repair this same model next week. Your video will help me a lot. Keep uploading❤
I am glad it will help to you! Thanks! Cheers

Excellent video, loved the chapters. That was quite an early Sony Portable Cassette player. Brilliant refurbishment and thanks for sharing with us.
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes mate those early models were built like a tank, excellent tape transport performance… Thank you 🙏
Cheers!
