    I'm with Rochelle only a tad older. Im coming up to my 62nd birthday. Ive struggled with my weight my whole adult life even though i have trained consistently. Anything from running,spin, some weights even having personal trainers.Over the years. I've followed Slimming world, WW, low fat , fat loss drinks and intermittent fasting, never kept the weight off. Last year i started looking at strength training following an on line trainer, cut out ultra processed food and still struggled. At the beginning of the year i started listening to Mind Pump and something just clicked. Initially i set my own program based on the 5 compound muscles just to see how i responded. It was hard not training every day but i started to see some results (mostly mentally). I'm now on my second week of anabolic, it still seems strange training less and resting more but I'm going to follow the process and see where it takes me. I'm working hard to get my protein in but make sure my first and last meal is high. I still struggle to increase my calories (all those years of yo yo dieting) but i am determined to finally get it right. My motivation is my grandchildren, being able to run after them, give them piggy backs, squat with them on my shoulders and hear my 6 year old granddaughter tell her mummy "nanna is really strong". What more do i need. Thank you MindPump, for the first time I'm beginning to understand how my body works.

      Develop discipline, rather than relying on intermittent motivation.

    • @wuken23
      @wuken23 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aj7907 I work six days a week, nine hours a day, at a very physically demanding job. After work, I usually go to the gym. I've been lifting weights consistently at least three times a week for over a year. The only reason I considered skipping today was because of some wrist pain I was feeling. But I still went for a leg day instead of a full-body workout. So I think I might be disciplined?

    There are many advantages to being a non-conformist, as long as you're willing to learn and adapt when necessary.💚 Healthy skepticism of the mainstream is helpful!

    So good to hear your positive comments on being a personal trainer. I have just quit my job to commit to becoming one. I have had so many false starts over the years in completing my diploma. I shelved the idea as I believed my time had passed. That desire to help other people in the field that I absolutely love has never gone away and I have found that where ever I have worked, people have asked for my advice and help in improving their health. I have decided it’s now or never and am totally focussed on it. Fingers crossed I can be of use to people out there 😊

    I absolutely love listening to you guys! I've been fed so much poor information from my doctors the last 3 years before/after my gastric sleeve procedure. Hit a low in my life a year and a half ago and have now gained most of it back. Working on getting on track with your tips and information and I am already feeling some of the benefits! Thank you, thank you! Keep it coming! ❤

    Rochelle!!! Is me. I’m only 43 and I’ve been working out my whole life - mostly with body weight exercises and cross fit/ cardio. I’ve recently started following the mind pump method and I’m having the same result - I’m getting bigger, I’m gaining weight with the weights and walking. My calories are 2000-2200 and I’m struggling to get in all the protein but I’m trying. I’m so afraid I’m going to just keep getting bigger and bigger. I am always striving to get that “aesthetic” physique- lean and toned without growing in size and I’m having a terrible time trusting the process 🫤

    The topics you all talk about are SO on target and relevant to (me specifically) ALL humans, and I hope that your channel and message grows exponentially and quickly. I only found you a month or two ago, and pretty much listen every time I have a chance. Recommendations are going out to my family and friends, and just wanted you to know that you are making SUCH an impact on how I see and treat my body now. Which is no small feat, seeing as how I’ve been a cardio focused vegetarian for well over 15 years, mostly following high carb/low fat. Focusing on protein now, building strength, and just got an “A+” rating on my DEXA scan…yeah, you’re a big part of that. Thank you. Not a bad start for a 56 year old woman. Rock on, guys! 👊✌️

    I did circadian rhythm based sleep training for my son at 4 months old bc it was brutal. Just like for adults, sleep is the most important for babies. Sleep is job one. Sometimes they cry bc they can’t say fuck you lol. They’ll be okay, they’re just processing and connecting new brain pathways to learn how to sleep. I can share my sleep trainer!

    It's not like people directly tell you to be sedentary but if you do pay attention, people will say things like don't work too hard or work smarter not harder blah blah blah I mean of course be efficient but there is a lot of value in getting things done the right way the first time versus rushing through it thinking you are working smarter and now you have to do double or triple the work

    I’m currently on my 2nd round of your Aesthetic Program. LOVE IT! I’m a teacher and am starting school next month for my masters degree. It takes me approximately 1.5-2 hours to complete the program on foundation days. Do you have any recommendations on how to cut that time down to 1-1.25 hours? Or do you have another program you recommend for busy people?
