As much as it sucks being on the receiving end of these combos, they are mighty visually appealing.
Also, I'd be cool with Jinpachi somehow making it into Tekken 8 if they're keeping Heihachi out.

I had the least amount of time with Tag 2, but had the most fun with the amount of customizations, game modes, routes with combos, and having the ability to do 2v2 with 3 other friends making parties fun. I hope they add 2v2 as a side feature in tekken 8 honestly
@TMM, you need to SSL with Jinpachi after the tag to make the combo at 7:24 consistent

ironically, i was actually just watching a 6 year old video of you yesterday from TTT2 playing jin + jinpachi, after i heard you mention jinpachi yesterday and wanted to see some jinpachi cheese, didn't disappoint.

I love this episode of Tekken Revisited, but it's the second video you made covering the Kazuya + Jinpachi GREAT!! combo. Still waiting for a Tekken Tag 2 Revisted episode for Jin Kazama, as well as his Omen Stance and GREAT!! combo with Devil Jin.
It sucks this game didn't perform well sales wise. It is super fun and holds up well,but unfortunately idk if Bandai is gonna wanna continue and make a tag 3 after tekken 8 with how bad tag 1 and 2 performed
I think if they ever do it again they should just add it to a mainline game as an extra game mode. Even though I would love a tag 3, I’m afraid you’re right about them not wanting to try it again due to just a lot of Tekken players not liking what comes with a tag game

unpopular opinion but i honestly preferred tag 2 even from a competitive standpoint. the character picks were much more diverse in tournaments (check out nobis ttt2 tier list and compare it to how things are in t7 and you will immediately be able to tell the difference). game mechanics like rage could actually be managed as the only time you would deal with an opponent in rage is if you let them raw tag for free when they have it unlike t7 where you have to deal with rage no matter what you do. not to mention other stuff like the better movement in that game and so on.

The complain about TAG2 people says is "damage"
which I believe is a WEAK argument...tag games in FCG are historically about combos and creativity
If the community wonders why Tekken 7 was a lower budget game...look no further than Tag2's commercial failure....Tag 2 was packed with content STILL more content than T7 currently but the community complained "game is too hard...combo damage blah blah blah"
meanwhile Tekken 7 is by far thee most inconsistent tekken game of all time
@@JIX9ISLER1986 combo damage in ttt2 can be pretty obscene, but damage in t7 isn't really much different anyway. and even then in t7 after taking a high damage combo with wall carry you will have to deal with a mixup on wakeup while in tag 2 you still have the option to tag crash.
As a spectator of Esports, I honestly prefer tag 2. The combos are just so stylish and the combos varied because of the teams. I still watch the old tag tournaments some times.
It's good to know that Mainman is pulling out older Tekken games to keep the content alive and essentially keeping the Tekken franchise on life support until T8 drops. What a guy!

That game was brutal, but also so rewarding once you lab the cool stuff. The possibilities were endless, and pretty much every player had a signature combo or setup
Looks fair and balanced. My duo was AK + King, but I was just super casual. Didn't really explore too much
Ak/king had crazy amounts of stuff. I remember watching TripleH vs Knee and just being amazed constantly. Dude was punch parrying into tag combo with King.. crazy
Very few things I will click every time I see a new one but, Tekken revisited is an instant watch.

I wanna see bound come back, simply make it that it wouldn't work at the wall, and just nerf any busted combo potential it had. But it just felt way more natural than screwing then having to goofy ahh run into your opponent to have any possibility of making a very mediocre combo ender that you would never practically go for anyway because you would rather have the Okizeme in Tekken 7.
Bounds did not look natural at all. They could be super high up in the air and just be teleported down to the ground with a bound move. Looks weird

@@GokuSwag217 So bring it back as the way to continue a combo, not a random attack that sends them to the other half of the stage just for graphics' sake. I mean seriously look at how forced some of these attacks look, especially when they come after moves that would bound in previous games. Screws DID exist in previous games, but they were few and far in between, and mostly had Counter Hit utility which was actually useful. You would START your very hard to execute combo say after a Jin CH Electric where you'd have to run in and pick up the combo from there and be rewarded for doing so, instead of what we have now with a goofy ahh run into wall carries and empty combo enders that reward you nothing for your anticipation and punishment.

No, Adrian. The Law (either Law, doesn't matter) and Paul GREAT combo is the greatest. Greater than the Kazuya/Jinpachi one, because you're struggling hard to convert it into a 130ish damage combo AND you still need a wall to achieve that damage, whereas Law/Paul does that much damage WITHOUT ANY WALLS and much easier, doesn't require a sick crouch cancel into Kaz df+1,2 or whatever. You'll probably say that Kazuya's WS+2 is much easier to hit than Law's f+2~1 but even that is not so true either, because Law has a crazy setup for his f+2~1 which is his b+1+2 punch parry into 2 (b+1+2,2) this gives a guaranteed launch for Law if they do not techroll thusly making f+2~1 guaranteed in that case.

I need Tekken X SF to exist so we can get combos like this for SF characters, or Tekken AND SF characters together, Law x Fei, Paul x Ken, Nina x Cammy, Chun x Xiaoyu, etc.

@@holyother1 but it would be a crossover game rather than a mainline one. I imagine people would be more accepting of 2d in that sense, on top of Namco hopefully taking the time to figure out a good balance for the 2d characters and mechanics. And personally I think I might have never picked up Tekken if it weren't for Akuma, and I desperately wanna play Juri in a tekken game. I feel like she'd be super fun and fit so well. Bryan and Juri is the ultimate dream team for me.

I’m conflicted on the idea of lore teams. It’s a really cool attention to detail, and it’s fun to figure out if you don’t already know about it, but you can potentially run the risk of promoting samey teams because everyone wants access to those extra attacks (like Jin’s Omen Stance).
BandaiNamco was smart and didn't make the lore tag combos *that* powerful. They're really cool, but they didn't dominate the game, partially because they are limited to specific starters (Kaz WS2 in the case of this video). We can look at top finishes in Tag 2 tournaments to confirm this.

Tmm still salty about his ttt2 losses, it's quite extreme. If he was honest, he'd say we never saw this combo or this team. I remember 1 player from Eu online who used the hwo/baek great combo on me once. That's it, dishing it out? Yeah I play Law/paul for a week and did their great twice. And I had 50000+ games on ttt2, I would know how prevalent this stuff was.
Always disliked jinpachi for his GIANT feet. He Bigfoot Mishima. Just looks hyper goofy.
