This title is how I've been feeling for years. Not even a main but I LOVE Bruce and his style. Especially in tag 2. Loved him and Bryan together. I puke every time I see Josie from her launch. Fak is awesome but not at the expense if Bruce. Damn it man, bring Bruce back and erase Josie. Fak can stay. In either case, they will never replace what Bruce was and what he brought to the table.
Wishful thinking. Slowly became more apparent that Namco has been pushing Bruce away slowly. So wack! But the future is unknown. I'm never giving up on his possible return. And the homie Pok Chop will FLIP! Haha

Or maybe they've struggled to implement his combo strings to the new tailspin mechanic? Cause I just can't believe him not being popular.

@@Eedorian Highly doubt it. Tailspin actually exists since Tekken 6 (Devil Jin's WR 2 and Jin's CH EWHF being examples) and changing existing moves property was what it only took to implement it

Would be fine if Josie’s fighting style was more “Eskrima”
Considering that Tekken definitely isn't shy about having weapon users (Yoshimitsu, Kunimitsu, Master Raven, Noctis, Negan), it would've been perfectly fine and a good representation of Josie's fighting style to give her one or two eskrima sticks or a pair of knives or even a machete (actually the image of a cutesy girl like her swinging around a machete like nobody's business is pretty hilarious).
I hope so. I hope they change Jossie into eskima fighters with double sticks. That's kinda cool. I think this will possible because muaythai fighter is Fahkumram. Like Jin Kazama who has changed his fighting style in tekken 4

Man i crushed people in T6 with Bruce and TTT2 Bruce/Bryan team. I was so looking forward to Bruce in T7 and i along with everyone else thought it was him in the reveal trailer! They trolled everyone hard by showing just the hand tapes and then revealing a completely different character. I really hope they bring him back by replacing Josie in next tekken game/s.

Hey i have a question about bruce. In tag 2 mainman showed he had 13 frame ws launcher. Does he have that in tekken 6 as well? Does he get any follow ups or oki after ws 21?
@@ConstantUNTILisnt Nope he doesn't because d3,4~pss transition was a tag 2 addition which was not a thing back in T6. In T6 doing d3,4 after ws2,1 set up a tech catch for his unblockable.

Me too. Like the Muay Thai clench is named that for a reason. Many practitioners use it and is core part of a fighters arsenal. Take away his charged gimmicks and give me the clench anyday.
I really want them to change Josie's movelist to be more Eskrima based and make Bruce as a DLC.
Fahkumram was a really cool addition in T7 but Bruce is a legacy character that needs to be brought back. Here's hoping they give Josie the axe and replace her with Bruce in T8
Fahkumram is only in 7 but he's still more interesting than Bruce was in all the games he appeared in
Bruce was one of my mains, his mixups are legendary. he also has a cool story.

I appreciate this vid Main Man. The way I see it, Fakum and Josie are basically like the two sides of Bruce. Fakum has better pokes but is very sluggish, Josie has better sustainable pressure and is much quicker but has to take risks to get good damage.
Bruce was the best of both worlds, he was a Fakum and Josie combo.
What does sluggish mean? The frames are the exact same? Or do you mean sluggish because of movement? Oh wait fahkrumram has one of the best movement of the game

I think he means Fahk is sluggish as in a lot of his signature moves either have a big windup or cooldown built into their animation. Yeah he has great quick pokes and it's not like he has bad frames, just that the way those frames are animated make him look like a big slugger rather than the kinetic speed of Josie or the viciousness that Bruce had

Zangana I think what makes it bad, is there doesn’t seem to be a real interest in making new characters interesting. Kazumi, is the only new character who feels real, and essential. Everyone else is either a meme or a just mechanics attached to a body. At least Tekken 3, made the new characters feel important. Losing Bruce for Bryan made sense. Losing Bruce for Josie and Fahk doesn’t

Yea as someone who loved Bruce since the early days of Tekken when I was a kid. When I didn''t see Bruce it was a bummer, and I ended up maining Josie. Now that Fahkumram is out, I feel slapped in the face again as his moves deal more damage, have more range, better combos than Josie. I wish Fahkrumram didn't look so absurd because I would have dropped Josie

another thing about bruce he has a decent chain grab game that deals more dmg than Armor Kings chain grabs l don't remember very well but its 70 or 80 dmg if the opponent eats the full chain.

AK is different from King. Anna is different from Nina. Marduk is better than Gigas.

When TMM mentioned the part of Bruce’s movesets were placed to Josie and Fahkumram. Something is telling me that Harada doesn’t like Black dudes that much..except for MR and Leroy for obvious reasons. 😂

I always thought Bruce was a bodyguard strictly for money but always was a good guy or at least an antihero
I don't give a damn about him being a shallower character than josie and fakurmom, I miss so much his moves and animations. So graceful yet so brutal, like the real Muay Thai (or more like Muay Boran in Bruce's case)
There was no _"Duality"_ in Bruce's character, nobody regarded him as a bad guy because he was Kazuya's bodyguard, are we *_literally_* forgetting these *major* plot points of the series, that:
1) The G Corporation, opposing the Mishima Zaibatsu, were fighting on the virtuous side of the war, Kazuya's dishonest intentions are irrelevant to the motivations of those who fought on the side of the G Corporation.
2) Kazuya's identity as the literal devil only begins to be revealed to the world throughout the story of Tekken 7???
Well Lei fought Bruce & won in TK2. Lei is a good guy so there’s that.
Probably referencing Bruce's personality back in Tekken 2.
Since he was Kazuya's personal bodyguard. And Kazuya was basically a mob boss that did everything under the sun. He's just assumed to be "as bad".
I can't remember if he had any special convos back in Tekken 6 story mode.
Bruce and Steve have rivalry. Steve is Nina son. Bruce used to be Kaz personal body guard. He was replaced by Nina.

On another note,
*Bound* to me will always be a better mechanic than *Tailspin* , they said its main purpose was to nerf wall combos but that wasn't really achieved I feel, it just makes ending your combos require you to travel the distance of the arena and it's purely aesthetic, and even in that regard bounding looked better and felt much more satisfying.

I feel like they should put bound and screw in Tekken 8, but you can't use 2 of them in a combo, I feel like that would buff a lot of characters like Lee.

I love Josie but if you asked me to pick between her or Bruce I’d have to go with Bruce. I would like if they brought Bruce back for Tekken 8, and gave Josie more of her own fighting style (because 3 Muay Thai fighters would be kinda excessive).

*When it comes to fighting games that are style heavy I always go for the Muay Thai base character I love the fighting style and Bruce off the rip became my main. When I saw him replaced for Josie ass I was pissed, but Fake actually relieved my stress giving us a real Muay Thai fighter again*

What pisses me off is if they had to remove him from t7, there should have been a story reason or a foreshadowing in t6, just removing him for no reason is a smack to the face of those who love him as a character. If they wanted to bring in an authentic muay Thai character then what's josie doing in this game? Having Bruce and Fahkumram would have been a way better situation. In terms of aesthetics Josie is extremely boring and anyone who has played the previous entries knows that she has inherited a lot of moves from Bruce, so what was the point to omit Bruce? Personal dislike of the devs? If that's the case then they don't understand their own fans.
🐤🎷Bruce will continue being my fave and prime main as I had first tried him in TEKKEN 2 learned him when I had bought Tekken Tag 1. He became my prime main in Tekken 5 vanilla. #BruceRyuken lives on!
He can be easily implemented into T7 because most of his moves are Josie's moves. But wait out until T8 maybe he'll be back. Doubtful, but Tekken is sorely missing some black representation. And with the way the people are fighting the good fight, it would be good PR for them to add him. Although Bandai Namco is a Japanese country so they might not feel the pressure as much.

its weird because there were A LOT of bruces in TTT2 they didn't really have a reason to replace him, he was used way more than Anna in my experience i have about 3000 matches in ttt2
This year I started to go back to tag 2 because most problems with TTT2 has reappeared in T7 season 3 anyway. Tag 2 is more fun in many other aspects. There's not much reason for me to play 7 anymore
The only thing better in T7 are side steps and throws are easier to break. The side steps are very risky in TT2.
junkyRyan138 I just deleted it again. Literally the first Tekken game that cant keep my attention and for years it was the only franchise I played. If there is a season 4...I might try again.
@Tcb bct TT2 characters can track their opponent even on side steps. The game code didn't work properly as T7 actually does.

I had tried him in Tekken 2 arcade, learned him in TTT1 console, prime mained him in Tekken 5 (My first Tekken video upload is of Bruce from T5) up until TTT2 and Tekken Mobile. It was dumb as hell for Bandai Namco to get rid of him. 🕶🐶 Leroy Smith is the one in Tekken 7 to put on some neosporin for my Bruce pain, but that's not even enough. Well, even more of a reason to revisit Tekken Tag 2, Tekken 6, Tekken 5 DR, Tekken 5 vanilla, Tekken Tag 1, and Tekken 2.

I don't mind the new characters tbh. But for Tekken 8 make Josie less of a crybaby and Fakumrhams body more proportionate to his head and waste.
Fahkumram body looks fake and so unnatural I would have made sense if they added that he did steroids in his story

Josie could've had a different style similar to Guro Dan Inosanto's Eskrima and Pencat Silat. What happened was some lazy devs copy pasting with minimal changes.

I don't care for Bruce that much, even tho i liked him in Tekken 2. But i would really like him to come back and have a showdown against Fahkumram. The traditional thai style monster vs the more modern version of the comeback king.
Tekken 5 DR is the only tekken game I played before T7, and this guy was my favorite character alongside Jin. Needless to say, I was pissed when they didn't reveal him in season 3

Bruce in T6 was dripping with so much swag. I'm a Steve main (since T4) and I despise Bruce when I had to face him in T5DR & T6.

In Tekken 8 he should come back with some of Fahkunram's moves. Lets say they both compete in a tournament but train together afterwards.

How is he played out? Bruce had an interesting story. Elements of Fahkumram's and Leeroy's stories were actually ripped off from Bruce's background. He has more depth than most characters by being a criminal, yet wanting to be a role model for kids. A good move list. No issue.

That's been the case for basically every non-Mishima since T5 though. There was no point in singling Bruce out. If plot mattered to Bamco, they could have easily rebuilt his ties to Lei regarding Bruce's memories about the death of Lei's partner. Or finding out Kazuya was involved with the crime syndicate that tried to kill him for not throwing a kickboxing tournament. There was a lot there that they decided to not expand upon.

@@ryanwest4088 that is because there is no Bruce anymore, put them in the same game hardly doubt any of those Josie mains won't switch(back) to Bruce.
Same with Master Raven, def prefer Raven, his moves, costumes and teleports. The character switch def went along with the feminism and all that jazz. You see a character concept like Lucky Chloe, perfection for a female gender, but Bruce or Raven? They were perfection and never needed to change.
