Unwashed 1970 Challenger T/A goes to a car show!

  • Nick pulled this car out of storage just in time to have to put it away for the winter, but now he's finally got the chance to roll the wheels. The Challenger still has dust on it from years of sitting still, but that won't stop Nick Panaritis from taking it to a show.

The T/A Challenger had perhaps the best hood scoop in the industry. Looked good and Functioned well.

jim jam. Many years ago I was reading I believe it was Hot Rodding Magazine. They had an article on which American Muscle car had the most functional Cold Air Scoop. And if I remember correctly, the T/A was on top of the list. Thanks for watching.

That's how we drove cars back in my day, we were younger and the cars were about 10-15yrs by the time we got them back in highschool and they were cheap!! Only if we knew the value of them, but we still got to drive them while they were in original Keep this one factory Nick

The last I went car show was in 1983 or so. No injections.. goofy digital dash was a crazy thing. That car there would have won back then too. You tube reverses the real energy of being right up to it. Always positive at car shows...

I remember the T/A'S they were bad ass then and still bad ass today. Sort of rare to see many left one's that did manage to survive the streets. I saw a 1967 Buick GS 400 today also getting rare. It was original like you T/A still it is Bad Ass!

Enjoying a car and not being critical of condition etc. etc. is refreshing and it sounds GREAT! Seems like we have lost something in all the shiny machines at the car shows. This thing would be a blast to drive around just the way it is. I love shiny cars! Don't get me wrong, but its just nice to see someone having enjoyment out of something that is special and doesn't have to be shiny to enjoy and appreciate it.

undertaker666dead. I love the old cars and have the utmost respect for the people that keep them going, but lets face it, they can be cantankerous at times and leave you sitting. I was torn when buying my Hellcat because it came down to choosing that, or getting an old classic. But I'm not a master mechanic like Nick so I just decided to go new so I have the reliability, warranty and safety gear (and A/C !😎) And it's an awesome car. If you haven't driven one, do so if you have the chance, it will put a smile on your face! But I hear you buddy, nothing is cooler than these cars, I'm glad there's dedicated folks that keep them on the road!😉

i had the pleasure of being the passenger in the T/A that night round trip from the shop to julip and back and let me tell you this T/A is amazing i liked the car so much but then Nick opened up the six pack on the highway and thats the moment i totally fell in love with this car , the combo of looking out the front windsheild and seeing that raised bubble from the T/A hood to feeling the six pack open up and listening to the exhaust note coming out the sides of the car ...perfect combination to the perfect wedneday night cruze to the julip , a big thank you to Nick for letting me ride shotgun that night

its funny you mentioned sliding on the vinyl seats . when I was in my 1st car,a 1972 Pontiac catalina with the 400 in it,I wasn't a seat belt wearer . I took a sharp corner at 25mph and all of a sudden I was sliding all the way across the bench seat and ended up in the passenger seat! still hanging on to the steering wheel for dear life, I managed to slam on the brakes and bring her to a safe stop. from then on,I always worn my seat belt!

It looks great with no shine. Leave it as is like i suggested last winter you can park it anywhere. Look at how that kids face lit up ( engine startup ) looking at that original survivor T/A...that's where the magic is.
Since the car is based on a road racer I hope you could drive it up to the "Sommet des Legendes" ( Mt. Tremblant in July )after all T/As & AARs left their mark there long ago. That T/A would be appreciated even by non-muscle enthusiasts.
