mY CK 1500 v6 1998 starts easyly in the mornings and when is cold, but after a short run it is giving me a hard start. New plugs, new ignition coil...I am thinking of gas pump, but as I said if it starts in the morning or when has been off for some time and it is cold, starts easyly, so it is not the gas returning to the tank because a faulty check valve, what would you think could it be ? tomorrow I will check with the computer to check for an error code. But if you have any suggestion I really would appreciate it. thanks a lot, Ramon, Miami.
When it hard starts does it crank for a bit and turn over first attempt and drivable after or?? I would definitely scan truck for any codes. I’d check all possible ground cables for any corrosion or looseness. Also I would check crank sensor cam sensor and starter to see if connections power ground etc are good. Also check fuel pressure with gauge to see if it’s a good strong pressure and compare it to cold start crank vs the weak crank.
Thank you I had the same problem with my Silverado and you helped me fix the problem TY
You’re welcome glad I was able to help
Did you go back with AC delco part ..
@@jimmyramirez8844 I put back what was on truck before so not sure what brand it was.
