I would say that WWE did this on purpose to distance Reigns and Wyatt from one another, because there would've been riots if "Superman" Reigns won the title from The Fiend.

that elmination match should of been Shayna coming out at number 5 and killing everyone. Waiting 5 minutes heckling the crowd and having a 15 minute match with Asuka and still winning.
It could have just been Shayna vs Asuka in a 20-25 minute No Holds Barred Match with Shayna only beating Asuka, but Asuka fighting and fighting until she is put to sleep

This is why retired legends in their 50's should not come back for one last match or one last run in the company. It always ends in disaster, therefore slightly damaging their long lasting legacy.

Even when people go “But this got ratings and attention!”, I still look at this and go... why though? Like in the point of Wrestlemania, a dream match between Goldberg Vs Roman (which still didn’t happen) would’ve been just fine without the title.
The worst part with the PPV matches really was that there was no audience. The cheers, pops and boos from a live crowd always was an essential part of watching the shows.
Easy fix for the Fiend v Goldberg... Have it be just Bray Wyatt. They're in the ring, bell rings and... The Fiend seems to struggle a bit, but eventually Bray Wyatt's joy of meeting a childhood hero becomes too much, he tears the mask off with a smile, and SPEAR. 1,2,3. Now you've not only protected your new monster, but built for another match where your NEW SUPERNATURAL MONSTER can beat a grandpa. But for all of this, you'd need Goldberg to put over anyone that isn't Braun Strowman or himself, and let's be honest, he'll stop headbutting doors before he puts someone else over.

The List makes sense except for Edge vs Orton, Yes it was long and they went around the Centre a lot and there wasn't many spots, but I think that the first and last points help it, it was an Emotional Build of a match, they had the oppertunity to tell one of the best story's in a match and they did a fine job IMO, the quiet moments, the legit pain they both felt, the parts where it was their face and noises that told the story, they didn't need Spots or crowd popping moments to do what they wanted. IMO it's one of the best matches of the year
I am kinda shocked that Kofi vs. Brock wasn't on this list. After finally building him to a main event level star, he loses to Lesnar in NINE SECONDS on the First Smackdown on Fox. They flushed 9 months of story telling in 9 seconds to once again prove Brock Lesnar is on a whole different level of great! Thank you Adam for returning to what you are so good at, making us fans smile. Side note, since you are the master of how you would book something. I like to fantasy book tournaments featuring only wrestlers that have been either WWE champion, WWE world champion, or Universal champion from the Wrestlemania era till now, with everybody being in their Prime. I like to try different matchups but my favorite in my mind only of course is pitting The Ultimate Warrior against Brock Lesnar. Warrior tries to no sell Brock for a few minutes until Lesnar gets pissed and beats the former Jim Hellwig til the referee stops the match! While the match up is only in my head, it's still a good memory!!!
Of course Goldberg vs the fiend was the worse, but a close second was the woman’s elimination chamber. Definitely the worst chamber match I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen both the ecw chamber match, and the horribly botched intercontinental chamber match...and that one was worse then both of them put together...
I literally was shaking in anger lol after the results since I was a big fan of Bray then and of thr Fiend now. But I try to console myself with the thought of Bray's tweet after the match, he explained in a poem that Goldberg was not part of his plan, he wasn't necessary for him. His goal was facing Cena and he wouldn't been able to face a humble Cena who gives way for others on a championship match at Mania if he was still champion, so he needed to go down to Cena's level to face him. That's why he intentionally lost, he was even back up after Goldberg defeated him to show that he wasn't much hurt.
Genuinely shocked that Asuka vs Sasha Banks at Extreme Rules didn't make the list. That match had the worst finish of the year and it fits with the theme of WWE setting up TV matches on PPV. Asuka and Sasha are both great, but no, let's have Bayley cosplay as a referee and the match just ends for no reason. I would have replaced the Money in the Bank match with Asuka vs Sasha at Extreme Rules.
This video is all Vinnie MAC needs to look at to try to understand why Raw ratings have been steadily declining over the last decade to the all time low that they are currently at.
Fun fact no one cares for - Super Showdown happened in February this year right before the pandemic, and in the US I was attending PAX East at the same time. The day after the show (which I didn't watch) I cosplayed as The Fiend to the convention while my fellow mark cosplayed as Broken Matt Hardy. While loads of people loved my cosplay, half the time I was getting apologies for what happened during Super Showdown.
I agree with the top 2, but one thing I learned about Adam from this video is that he doesn't like fun in his wrestling. He "doesn't" love to have fun.
3-10 were poorly booked or boring, but 1 and 2 were the type of matches that will make someone stop watching wrestling for good. They did absolutely nothing other than pissing off everybody.
I don't understand what the actual heck is Vince going to do with Retribution. If you want a dominant group, you don't make them destroying and thrashing around RAW, and then going after RICOCHET IN 2020. They just made Hurt Business a far better group than they should be.
Corbin vs Elias at Wrestlemania 36 wasn't in the Thunderdome, it was in the Performance Center... also, technically you could say that Asuka did cash in, but she didn't cash in by her own volition, it was just "oh frick, Becky Lynch is pregnant, we need to have her put the Raw Women's title on someone without having Becky wrestle!" I mean it gave us a legitimately wholesome moment in Asuka congratulating Becky for being pregnant, and Asuka is the most reliable woman who isn't named Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks or Bayley (I mean seriously, it seems like they only allow Asuka or Alexa Bliss hold either the Raw or Smackdown women's championships so that it looks like they aren't exclusively prioritizing the Four Horsewomen)
The 2 people who appear most on the list are Asuka & Shayna Baszler, each getting 3 entries. Meanwhile, the 3 PPVs which appear the most are Super Showdown, WrestleMania & Backlash, with 2 matches from each show.

lol agreed , The WWE and Universal champions were good this year , Hurt business was amazing , The legend killer returning and having 3 rivalries that were amazing , Bray vs Braun rivalry , The family storyline between roman and jey... i can go on but yeah it was a great year its just people always love to complain about everything even tho we should be thankfull for how these wrestlers entertained us during a pandemic
End of the year saved 2020 for Wwe honestly.
Edge vs Ortan at Mania was also incredible, damn, what a weird list.
A lot of people strongly dislike it, I guess were in the unpopular side of opinions because I really enjoyed it too, it made a lot of sense storyline wise

I know a lot of people liked it, I was super excited for it, in fact it was my most anticipated match of the ppv... But I thought it was incredibly boring and not what edge should've came back too...
Not that it was necessarily bad, it was boring and way too long, shred its runtime by 10 to 15 minutes with all the relevant spots still in there and it wouldn't be here at all.
I was actually really into edge vs Orton, I get it was long but it was a good way to bring edge back in an easy March where he barely has to wrestle

The List makes sense except for Edge vs Orton, Yes it was long and they went around the Centre a lot and there wasn't many spots, but I think that the first and last points help it, it was an Emotional Build of a match, they had the oppertunity to tell one of the best story's in a match and they did a fine job IMO, the quiet moments, the legit pain they both felt, the parts where it was their face and noises that told the story, they didn't need Spots or crowd popping moments to do what they wanted. IMO it's one of the best matches of the year

I am kinda shocked that Kofi vs. Brock wasn't on this list. After finally building him to a main event level star, he loses to Lesnar in NINE SECONDS on the First Smackdown on Fox. They flushed 9 months of story telling in 9 seconds to once again prove Brock Lesnar is on a whole different level of great!

Side note, since you are the master of how you would book something. I like to fantasy book tournaments featuring only wrestlers that have been either WWE champion, WWE world champion, or Universal champion from the Wrestlemania era till now, with everybody being in their Prime. I like to try different matchups but my favorite in my mind only of course is pitting The Ultimate Warrior against Brock Lesnar. Warrior tries to no sell Brock for a few minutes until Lesnar gets pissed and beats the former Jim Hellwig til the referee stops the match! While the match up is only in my head, it's still a good memory!!!

Of course Goldberg vs the fiend was the worse, but a close second was the woman’s elimination chamber. Definitely the worst chamber match I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen both the ecw chamber match, and the horribly botched intercontinental chamber match...and that one was worse then both of them put together...

I literally was shaking in anger lol after the results since I was a big fan of Bray then and of thr Fiend now. But I try to console myself with the thought of Bray's tweet after the match, he explained in a poem that Goldberg was not part of his plan, he wasn't necessary for him. His goal was facing Cena and he wouldn't been able to face a humble Cena who gives way for others on a championship match at Mania if he was still champion, so he needed to go down to Cena's level to face him. That's why he intentionally lost, he was even back up after Goldberg defeated him to show that he wasn't much hurt.
Genuinely shocked that Asuka vs Sasha Banks at Extreme Rules didn't make the list. That match had the worst finish of the year and it fits with the theme of WWE setting up TV matches on PPV. Asuka and Sasha are both great, but no, let's have Bayley cosplay as a referee and the match just ends for no reason. I would have replaced the Money in the Bank match with Asuka vs Sasha at Extreme Rules.
This video is all Vinnie MAC needs to look at to try to understand why Raw ratings have been steadily declining over the last decade to the all time low that they are currently at.
Fun fact no one cares for - Super Showdown happened in February this year right before the pandemic, and in the US I was attending PAX East at the same time. The day after the show (which I didn't watch) I cosplayed as The Fiend to the convention while my fellow mark cosplayed as Broken Matt Hardy. While loads of people loved my cosplay, half the time I was getting apologies for what happened during Super Showdown.

Corbin vs Elias at Wrestlemania 36 wasn't in the Thunderdome, it was in the Performance Center... also, technically you could say that Asuka did cash in, but she didn't cash in by her own volition, it was just "oh frick, Becky Lynch is pregnant, we need to have her put the Raw Women's title on someone without having Becky wrestle!" I mean it gave us a legitimately wholesome moment in Asuka congratulating Becky for being pregnant, and Asuka is the most reliable woman who isn't named Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks or Bayley (I mean seriously, it seems like they only allow Asuka or Alexa Bliss hold either the Raw or Smackdown women's championships so that it looks like they aren't exclusively prioritizing the Four Horsewomen)
