I remember reading something from John Tenta a while back, where he said he thought the Golga gimmick was supposed to be a punishment for jumping ship to WCW years earlier. It apparently didn't work because the big man really enjoyed it because he got to put smiles on kids faces. Because John Tenta may have been the sweetest man to ever be in the business. Also, that Hulkamania helmet may be the most gloriously ridiculous thing that I've ever seen.
He really did a great job of mimicking the other wrestlers. He would have been great for some DX parody skits. I think he missed a chance though as his signature move "Haas of Pain" could have had him being some sort of early John Cena "thuganomics" clone. He could have come out to "Jump Around" by House of Pain.
Love the subtle reminder that Rikishi is a member of the Bone Street Krew, meaning he's one of the hardest men ever to be part of the WWE and someone you absolutely did not want to cross backstage.
Doubly fascinating because it makes him one of the most respected and actually compassionate wrestling trainers. He’s incredibly easygoing with kids/young adults wanting to learn how to wrestle. He’s strongly against hazing & that cruddy WCW power plant break them mindset. He’s said on numerous occasions he hates the idea of crushing someone’s dream before it even gets started.
A series of memories resurfaced for me when seeing Golga. Weird memories...I thought his existence was a fever dream I once had but apparently not lol.
I didn't know Hogan used that thing in an actual match. I've only ever seen the promotional photo with him wearing it. Thought it was just merchandising BS.
I have a challenge for ya, Adam. In your next “book it” video I task you with fixing Apollo Crews getting abruptly moved up to the Main Roster. The poor guy barely had any direction, or character, in NXT and was in a rough place for years before winning the US title.
Fun fact: In 2000, the Big Show also had an "impersonator" gimmick. And surprisingly, it was actually really funny. In his Backlash match against Kurt Angle, he came down as Hulk Hogan, complete with music, promo, and even the big boot to leg drop. It was tops. XD

I was annoyed by Roman Reigns for years. Not him. Reigns has assumed The John Cena role of WWE Ambassador and WWE wrote Reigns into a corner. I would see Reigns on a talk show without a script. He was thoughtful, charming, and charismatic. Once again, as soon as WWE Creative let Roman Reigns just be himself, it was great.
I completely understand what Adam means when he said he wants the War Bonnet helmet more than anything else in his life. There is something oddly enticing about it 😂
Apparently that guy who was with Jon Moxley in that clip at the start is Hade Vansen--that dude WWE hired to feud with The Undertaker in 2008 but canned it after a single taped promo and never used him on TV.

Okay I have to say this. Ever since I heard about Make A Difference Fatu I have been obsessed with what his heel turn would have been like. Would he have blamed the fans? would he have started telling kids to do drugs? I just, I have to know...
