Thank you for promoting my country. We often got a bad impression but in reality Cambodian are very down to earth, nice, friendly and welcome everyone. Enjoy your stay and have fun!
Install Grab before you arrive and order a Grab (you can pick Tuk Tuk or Taxi) when you arrive. Fixed price (like Uber) and you can pay by card. Cheaper than street taxis or tuk tuks. Pick up area is 100m from the airport entrance (there's a big Grab sign). You will save a lot and reduce hassle by using Grab on your trip (no haggling).
@@Chai_TravelAccording to my experience, grab is the same price to others and we can know how much we gonna pay during booking stage and that means, no how long the driver drive, we still have to pay the same.
I don't think walking 100 yards to a location you are uncertain of with luggage in the heat of Cambodia to save a few bucks is less of a hassle but to each his own.
I've only been living in Phnom Penh for less than 3 months. I think your vlogs are good advice for newcomers. I. Still finding things to do and see here so utube is still very helpful for me.
“Be kind” best advice! Can’t wait to get back to Phnom Penh, or Cambodia in general! The hotel looks amazing! And congrats Chai and Noona on your engagement!!!! 🎉
Thank you friend Chai for sharing your return to Cambodia and your experience in the capital with its attractions and accelerated development. Happy 2025 full of abundant new achievements👍
Thank you for watching again! ❤️ always a pleasure to share those moments and knowing you’re tagging along. Have the best start of 2025! Best luck and good health 🙏
The city has changed soooo much since I was there in 2001!! Incredible! I love Cambodia and it's lovely people. It is great to see them prosper. Happy Travels
Make sure your passport is immaculate- had a family trip recently and one of us had to spend $6000 after being deported and organising a new passport. No joke. If you have a tear on a page don’t risk it.
That is a really good point and a good reminder for travellers, thanks for sharing 🙏 I can advise people who have to deal with such incidence to contact your embassy.
Hello my friends - Nice to see you in Phnom Penh again 🤩 - The hotel looked high quality & great location , I stayed in PP for 7 days which was probably 2 days too long ? - some good things to learn about the city day & night . I also met The same guy you had at the Royal palace selling the local tour , 🤩 - enjoy hearing Noona commentary. excellent video and looks forward to more soon 👌😎👋✔️👍🙏
Aw haha, I would send more than a week here to be honest. But that's my personal feeling about it. I also like to explore some parts I've never been too but I rather be in the country side ;P or the beach!
Waffler here ! ;-) .....and I hate that for now. Planning our exploratory trip later this year; Koh Chang, Chiang Mai, and either Hua HIn, Prachuap Khiri Khan or Koh Samui. We're not really crazy about crowded tourist areas but, we will figure it out. I've been to Phuket long ago and Pattaya a few years ago. I'm different now so, those would not be my pick now. Maybe even Bang Saray or Udon Thani. Thanks for the videos that you make; they are interesting, informative, fun, and most of all, believable. Take care as I know now you are on Samui soaking up that island culture.
This year July, this airport will be closed and change to the new airport called TIA. It’s located about 20Km from city centre. TIA is much bigger than this one and lots of pattern will surely change. You might need to come and record it again this year😂. I will wait for new video about TIA from you
Lovely to see you both, Noona & Chai, so happy together in Phnom Penh, the Hotel-Spa is just super nice and you deserve to have a little honey-moon for your engagement ! I enjoyed the walking on the riverside, it is a lively place, lucky you had an event with traditional music, last year we had there a sunset drink and really tasty food not expensive ! Have a great time in Cambodia Champs,❤✌your plans and topics sounds interesting !.Tomorrow I have my flight to Bangkok 😊kah🙏
Thanks so much ❤️🥰Sounds like you had a good time in Phnom Penh! It's a wonderful city. I agree, the food is great and affordable. Hope you have a wonderful trip to Bangkok! ❤️
Thank you for visiting my homeland! Landmines or unexploded ordnance are found only in war-torn countries, and Cambodia has been at peace for decades. Enjoy your trip, brother! 🌴🏖️
I don’t think you should satisfy an audience that wasn’t impressed by Cambodia. It’s not for everyone. And if they want to see fancy stuff and not get out of their comfy zone it’s on them. The daily life and rawness of the Khmer people makes it different and amazing. I think people like it because its pure. Take it as what it is.
I'm going to Thailand for a month but want to go somewhere for a week. Was thinking Da Nang but now I'm thinking maybe Cambodia. Love that visa is on arrival
Congratulations on your engagement to your lovely girlfriend soon to be wife. Love your informative video Chai and thanks for promoting my motherland country.
Chai you absolutely right I used to be able to drive in Phnom Penh but last year when I went there I would not dare to drive because the traffic was really busy and I would not want to put my wife and kids in danger.
12:30 they arent praying to the building. They are praying to the diety statue within the building called Preah Ong Dong Ka. People light incense and make wishes to the Preah Ong.
Do you recommend visa on arrival? I'm coming back to Cambodia last week of February. I cannot apply for a 30 day visa until a week before arrival...may just do an online visa, then, before I go....Vietnam, you can apply for a visa months in advance..... So, the old, existing airport will be supersceded by new one in July? I will be landing in Pochentong. There are a few expat vloggers in Cambodia...I have been watching...be cool to meet some. Travelling with my Khmer Mrs, so have a native Khmer speaker...
Ey mate. I do recommend it to get it just on arrival as it takes not a long time at all. They have tables at the airport where you have to fill in info and scan your passport. I’d recommend to carry 50 or 100 USD with you cash. You can pay the visa with this. I don’t know what the rules are for the country you are from so I’d double check if you are eligible to get a visa on arrival first 🙏
I arrive next Saturday at that hotel if the flights work out , great video hugely informative good idea to take a taxi in heavy traffic how much was the taxis as a rough guide
What an amazing resort/hotel that is, certainly looks 5 star. Correct me if I am wrong but I did a google enquiry for it and found a one night cost of only Australian $91.00 which is around USD56.00. Is that about right Chai.? If so incredible value. Enjoyed the walk around Phnom Penh, pretty open and spacious. Big mistake that pillow fella 😂🤣😂 Looking forward to all the upcoming videos. Said it before but must say it again, Noona does a brilliant job with the voice over work in the video(s). Very professionally done. Have fun champs!! 🤩
Thanks mate! And yes! It's possible but I believe 56usd is off-season price and a deal you can not pass, :P I think it's normally more than double 😆 Not sure. I'll pass on the compliment
They have very good deals on Agoda starting from less than 80USD already 😍 I also put a link of their official website so you can see some more details there 😊 I hope it’s useful
Welcome back brother
Thanks brother! Would be nice if we find time to catch up!
@Chai_Travel Warm welcome back brother. Cambovlogs knows some cool spots to hang out. Have fun! Explore and enjoy!
Thank you for promoting my country. We often got a bad impression but in reality Cambodian are very down to earth, nice, friendly and welcome everyone. Enjoy your stay and have fun!
I agree! We're enjoying our time so far ❤️

Good one. PassApp is also a good option and most of the time more affordable 😊
@Chai_Travel agree but passapp requires cash, then drivers often claim to not have change. I have my credit card linked to Grab so it's simple.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views from the room.
Phenom Penh looks like a lovely and inviting city . I want to visit there someday.

Between 25 and 40 dollars, you can get a tuktuk for an entire day. 😅 Don't get scammed people.

Dude the road is completely empty and you act like you are being targeted. So dramatic lmao
