OMG you guys suck, your try hard talking like youre a smart person is so embarrassing since we all know you predictably will be hitting your chess whenever you see action scenes, like the scene represent your spirit animal or something... you guys SUCK ASS!

    The problem is they cut out 10 years of storyline. In the book from page 1 to the end of the book is 10 years more or less, in the movie from part one to two is less then 9 months.
    You'll got to read the book to understand how powerful Paul gets.

      This we always said everyone would be eating their words. First movie is also good but there was no way to put that all in one movie and be effective. He did his very best with that first movie.

    • @barrywhite6060
      @barrywhite6060 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@maciedixon3983 And I know it's been said as a joke but it's true. Dune is Star Wars for grownups, it's not just about spaceships and blowing stuff up. The whole Dune Series is like that, it's like people get upset if they have to do any thinking or reflection on what their watching. The Battlestar reboot is the perfect example, yes it was an amazing sci-fi show, but a major reason it was so great was the fact that there were amazing political and social storylines and character development. I love that kind of sci-fi. That's the main reason I and so many others view Star Trek DS9 as the best of all the Star Trek shows. Everything about DS9 holds up to what's going on today and some of the things in it predicted stuff that's going on now.

    For me the point of Dune is that no one is actually the main character cuz its like Paul says it "A story" . His visions are leading him so in a way the whole thing already happened even for him and its more about how ppl deal with what roles they have to play in that story. Paul eventually agrees to take the path which his mother kinda knew before hand. Stilgar goes all in while Channi refuses to take part in it beyond Arakis`s freedom. But this is what makes a great movie - ppl taking different things out of it.

    As a book reader. Your analysis is SPOT ON. As much as it PAINS me, Timotheé has to age a bit so he can get to some greater depths of acting for the next book. I LOVE how you notice the character perspective of the movies. It was different from the book and in my opinion better. It changes the book from an imperialistic viewpoint to a viewpoint from the people being victimized. 10/10

    • @IAMBATwal
      @IAMBATwal 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nice to see a fellow Snyder fan who isn’t putting both Dune and Rebel Moon against one another like idiots already are lol. We’re allowed to enjoy both and as a fan of both filmmakers and sci-fi, the more the merrier. Both do a lot in favour of their depictions of the story at hand. Dune is a different flavour of sci-fi and I’m not gonna start comparing it to other sequels and give it weird labels lol if it’s good it’s good nothing needs to be the best when it comes to art. Rebel Moon is more of that Heavy Metal/Franzetta old school weird adult sci-fi I dig it! Sure PG13 cuts for the first two parts was a bit timid as we know Zack’s directors cuts have the peak of the peak, more people need to be open minded (though if Netflix cared about critical and initial perceptions, they’d never have made Zack have PG13 in the first place they did it for views and it did work like it or not 🤷‍♂️). Bring on Dune Part Two (this Sunday in imax for me) and Rebel Moon ALL THE CUTS 🎉🎉

    The only reason we’re getting a Part 1 and Part 2 separately is simply because Denni himself said it took so much hard work to create. Had he made it all one movie he said he would’ve died because it was just too much to do. So I hope this fact shuts the mouths of all these people that had a problem of how Part 1 ended. Clearly they know nothing about filmmaking to be saying such idiotic remarks. 😂😂

    I like the movie but there were three or four major changes from the boot to the movie that while I like the movie it pisses me off because they’re MAJOR.
    1st where part 1 & 2 together cover less then 9 months because by the end of part 2 lady Jessica looks like she close to giving birth. Well in the book from beginning to end covers more than 10 years. At the beginning of the book Paul is 13 or 14 and at the end he’s 24 or 25.
    2nd because the movie only covers 9 months instead of 10 years they had to cut out the fact that Paul and Channi had a child Leto II who is mudered by a Harkonnen soldier.
    3rd Paul’s sisters plays a bigger role at the end of the book as she is at that point 9 or 10.
    In the book Channi and Jessica are close having bonded over Channi and Pauls baby son and as such Jessica teaches Channi about how the politics of the empire work and that was the reason she and Pauls dad never got married and that it would have to be the same for Paul so at the end of the movie when Channi gets mad at Paul for agreeing to merry the princess, this is wrong because in the book she knew what was going to need to happen for Paul to take the throne and her attitude in the movie where she rails against prophecies and prophets never happened, and I wouldn’t be so bothered by it if in the end when she see what Paul can do, she says ok, I was wrong the prophecy was true but instead of doing that she still gets an attitude like none of the things he did mattered and Channi in the book wasn’t like that and while she wasn’t a fundamentalist she did have deep faith in Paul and the things he was going to need to do.
    And last as I said the book ‘Dune’ takes place over the corse of 10 years when it ends with Paul becoming emperor. The second book ‘Dune Messiah’ which Denis has already said he plans to do takes place 10 years after the events of the first book. So in the book Paul and Channi are in their early to mid 30s where because of how Denis wrote the screenplay in the next movie they will be ten years younger then their supposed to be and Paul’s sister who at the end of the first book is 9 or 10, in the second where she’s supposed to be 19 of 20, in the movie she will be 9 or 10 and while those of you’ll who haven’t read the books will say why is it a big deal, well if you read the books you would know it is. I don’t know how Denis is going to fix this but it’s a big problem and I understand he probably cut out the 10 year spans to save time but in doing so he’s only made it harder on himself when he sits down to start writing the screenplay for ‘Dune Messiah’.
