Sit & Mourn is the one I've been listening to the most. Calm That Keeps you awake I find I'm listening to the least but that doesn't mean it's bad, just not as heavy on repeat.
Blackened death almost mixed with his hxc style with that melancholic guitar layer with some diabolical chugs it's so fucking beautiful one of my favorite songs too. I was reading these comments and came across this as I slightly lost attention and that song was playing I'm so stoned but I'm glad this caught me so I can just take that song in. Just saw Knocked Loose on Saturday at The Shrine in LA. Speed, Show Me The Body, and Loathe were openers and let me tell you, top to bottom one of the funnest shows I’ve ever been to. Every band killed 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I really love the mirrored cadence and semi-rhyme between "eclipsing weight" and "a cleansing wave" on Suffocate and Don't Reach For Me, it just scratches my brain in a special way. I haven't been able to notice if there are any other lyrics that follow that form yet
I love how this album has little bits that really bring me back to a different shade of blue. Don’t reach for me gives me And still I wander south vibes. The end breakdown of the calm that keeps you alive felt like a continuation of the intro from Forget your Name. This album is going to be one of those rare ones where almost have to listen to it front to back every time to get the full experience
Piece by Piece is one of the most underrated songs on the album to me. Wasn’t anything special the first few times listening through but now I love it. And the last 30ish seconds is just unreal
@@drewmcgill5290 right? Honestly it’s one of those albums that gets better and better the more I listen to it. Moss Covers All is a badass track too even though it’s only 46 seconds long. That “bury me” line is so sick

I’ll admit, I never listened to much Knocked Loose. But this album is fucking chaotic and I loved every single second of it. I also went back and listened to their back catalogue. Definitely an album of the year contender for me 🤘🤘🤘
Moss covers all+take me home and slaughterhouse 2 are definitely my favorite tracks, i love the super creative gutar work they bring in, especially the almost plucky sounding bit in slaughterhouse 2
Hey Nik/chat, I know this is super late on the video but I just wanted to throw it out there. I'm a relapsing metlahead and was curious how everyone fins new music nowadays. I had my metal phase in high school but switched to more indie/alternate the last few years. Last year with the release of "Life Is But A Dream" I was pushed back into the metal circle. I got caught up with Sleep Token, Bad Omens, Spiritbox, and am going through Knocked Loose now. Your videos have been a great help getting caught back up with the scene and I just want to show some appreciation!!! I already have full weekend passes to Aftershock and I'm so pumped to get heavy again. Thank you for all you do sir! Keep it up!!
I think this is metalcore AOTY by a long shot. However, I don’t consider any of the songs on their own stand out better than some of my favorite bangers from Boundaries. But as an album the songs KL deliver are SOOO GOOOD! Kind of hard to explain but I find it hard to start any song and experience it fully and appreciate it the same way as when I listen to the album from start to finish. It is such an amazing album, I just don’t think there’s any quote on quote “bangers” on here, except for Blinding Faith. Favorite track is by far Sit & Mourn, I think it’s the best song they’ve ever made. It’s not a typical mosh song with heavy breakdowns and such, and I think that is why I like it so much. It shows that they truly are the GOATs of this genre. They don’t need breakdowns to write an amazing metalcore/hardcore song. Least favorite is slaughterhouse. I just think it didn’t serve a purpose on the album. Didn’t add to the atmosphere and TO ME it felt out of place. Kind of took me out of the vibe the rest of the songs put me in. OLDHAM FORVER
When Spotify releases the end of year recap, I have a feeling Sit & Mourn will be my top track for this month, and this band/new album will be in my top 5. ❤
