this album floored me, even at 27 minutes ive heard it non stop all day. It feels more like a creative sequel to A Tear where it tells exactly the story it wants to tell and leaves. KL have possibly the greatest setlist catalogue of any band out there right now, they don't need to load us up with 15 songs, they are a band which tours utterly non stop, rides through town, demolishes the place and leaves, which is exactly what the album did to me
Just heard Sit & Mourn and wow. The second half, the haunting guitar sounds like a conversation between a man and a woman, with the lower notes being the man and the higher notes being the replies from a woman. Idk why I thought that, but with the little "why'd you leave" thing it makes it feel all the more like a conversation to me.
I thought it would be aoty after hearing blinding faith but it’s not close to the top. Boundaries, alpha wolf, avralize, like moths to flames, grayscale season
Oh it's a contender but probably won't end up there because of the sheer amount of competition. May not be as close for everybody but even being up there compared to albums almost doubled the length is still impressive.
@@zander504I've listened to this album at least twice a day for weeks. The songs transition so well that I just let the album loop. Replay value is 10/10 for me.

The way that Brian’s vocals get cut off by the swelling tones of those guitars in Take Me Home is quite possibly one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard. Also, the drums in The Calm That Keeps You Awake are filthy!
I have been so hyped for this album and I gotta say it exceeded my expectations. At first I thought man this is too short but the more I listened on repeat I think it makes perfect sense for the album and songs length imo just because of how brutal it is. I was very thrown off by Sit & Mourn because it was so different for Knocked Loose but man I gotta say, that is my favorite track off of this album. It gave me feelings that I haven’t felt in a long time. Uncomfortable and hard to face feelings actually, but it reminds me that I need to feel those instead of hiding or bottling them up. It’s so impactful and I was not expecting anything like that at all.
This and LMTF album really did it for me today. I knew i was only safe to put Bloom ane Alpha Wolf at the top untik today. Can't wait to see your Moths reaction next, it's fantastic!
The three songs leading up to this i knew this album was going to be amazing, but I was bewildered by how impressive the rest of the album was. These dark melody rich themes in the album reminded me of what I love about converge and END.
love how everyone is losing their minds over this!! knocked loose is truly on another level in this scene and i hope this makes everyone raise their standards for the album experience. this album proves we can really get some incredibly artistic metalcore. bands like knocked loose and boundaries are raising the fuckin bar!
This album is more unsettling and dark than the previous one they did. I also like how they incoporated some soft but dark melodies in some of these songs ever since they put out the two song EP. Really shows how much they're growing and how much they want to push themselves to topping their previous work.
This album sits on top for me right now alongside Death is Little More and slightly above The Black. Still have yet to listen to LMTF's Cycles in its entirety, but I've high hopes.
I dont know if an album has ever had me on the edge of my seat the way this one did. Knocked Loose have mastered hate, and anger. The way they always have you bracing for whats next. I love it.
This album is insane, its just amazing sonically and artistically, but i have one problem with it, and Bodgan mentions it - there is not enough of it! It feels kinda like EP, and after singles i came to it with a expectation that im gonna be destroyed by the heaviness, but by the end of it i dont have that feeling, cause there is just this lack of content, i wish they would do longer parts on some tracks, for example last breakdown in Slaughterhouse after BLEAGH should be longer for sure! At least for 10 seconds, also breakdown on Piece by Piece cuts really early and ends with like 20 seconds noise after the last DUN, and Take Me Home is just trolling me not giving me that final drop, i feel like just 3 to 5 minutes more of it would do the job perfectly
Man, they missed a huge opportunity with take me home, there was the most insane build up from knocked loose ever for it not to be a crazy breakdown, if that happened, i think people would be more taken aback from the album. Just like how crazy the ending of god knows was
it honestly pissed me the fuck off can't stroke me for an entire song just to leave it with nothing, cool vibes but overall I don't think ill be listening to this song at all

I’ll be honest, I was never really that into knocked loose. I usually prefer some clean vocals mixed in. But from the time I heard the 1st single from this album I’ve been completely obsessed. This album blew me away, there aren’t any songs I will skip.
AOTY for me. The Calm That Keeps You Awake + Take Me Home are so insanely heavy and creative. They really evolved their sound with this one, 10/10 all killer no filler
Istg I saw someone say Sit & Mourn is like being lowered into the pits of hell, and it really is. Definitely my song of the year. Erra killed it with Cure, but this is definitely my AOTY
Listening to this album front-to-back for the first time felt eerily similar to the first time I listened to "Jane Doe" by Converge nearly 20 years ago. Utterly punishing but surprisingly intricate and lyrical. The future of hardcore is in good hands.
I'm probably going to be controversial here, but as good as this album is, I don't think it is album of the year. I think Boundaries cemented themselves with that one, their album had more variety and if I am being honest this new Knocked Loose album isn't even their best work. Still fire tho. Edit: After a few relistens, I now can safely say this is better than the Boundaries album, but not by much. I think i give this album a slight edge due to its artistic merits.
