LED Light Install '92-95 Honda Civic - Both Gauge Cluster & A/C Unit!!!

- On todays video I replace the dull yellow stock gauge cluster light bulbs on the Hot Hatchback with some brand new LEDs from Amazon. As well as the A/C unit lights, overhead dome light, and license plate lights... Basically went full LED lol
UPDATE‼️‼️
-using electrical tape to BLACK out the gauges causes the tape to warp over time with the heat…LAME!!!! Sooo use heat resistant tape or........

-i removed the electrical tape and decided to paint the clear housing with SEM Trim paint instead!! Works Perfectly👍

Smooth Video! Definitely going to upgrade my gauge soon! I like the idea of the AC as well. I like the glow around light when you turn them on. I had blue tag lights for about 5 years on my Mazda and got a warning by a state trooper then a ticket by the SAME state trooper lol. Just a FYI depends on your state, Alabama is a NOGO

In South Carolina it's white or yellow light only. Anything else will get you a ticket.

I want to do this but taking out the cluster is such a pain in the arse. Took me 2 hours the first time i did it. Just because the lazy worker at the shop i went to he put it not correctly aligned

@Rome Gonzalez Yeahhh. Actually you can!!! However the LED’s get VERY bright😅 soo i have them set at the lowest setting but if you want to you can increase the brightness👍

I replaced to led awhile ago cluster stopped working. Pretty sure its a wiring problem bought another cluster same issue. No tac or speedo,gas,temp etc been driving like that for awhile now 🤦♂️
Damnn that sucks..you sure there the right LEDs?? maybe you blew a fuse? Idk thoo sometimes the leds are directional soo just flipping the orientation could work but if you say the WHOLE cluster stopped working that sounds like a bigger problem😅
@@projectgoodspeed Yeah checked fuses relays the whole bang. Its wire related more than likely just dont know if its a short or a damaged wire. They are LEDs i also bought all the colors to see what i liked.
@The Swamper Nation This is why i hate electrical stuff lol all you did was replace some bulbs and the whole cluster just decided to stop workin…haha it sounds like a wiring problem cause i dont think the the cluster would just break all of a sudden BUT then again im no expert

@The Swamper Nation yeahh well if your gunna swap it that makes sense… but thats weird thoo that it crapped out RIGHT when you were workin on it… if its not the wiring id check the grey plug that clips to the cluster.. maybe the connection to the green motherboard is loose or something

Can I put the hatchback trunk lights on my 92 civic sedan license plate? I wanna put them but it’s says eg only.
Yeahh the 92-95 civics both use either 168 or 194 bulb size for the license plate light. Now… if you mean the bulb from the “trunk” of the eg on the license plate of your sedan then…no, because the eg trunk has a totally different bulb. Soo just keep that in mind. But a 168 or 194 bulb is meant for the license plate!👍 id go for 194 tho

@ekremarslan3270 you mean the clock? I had an issue with mine doing somethin similar and it also would stay on AFTER my car was on lol drained my battery like crazy. Id recommend opening it up and see if any of the internals are burned out.Its pretty simple to open up and inspect it cause that was my issue..

When I first bought the car, it was on brightly, then I connected the footlight and it started to glow dimly.
I will open it and look at it, but does it have to burn brightly all the time?
@ekremarslan3270 Gotcha! Well im not entirely sure but i do know mine dims down when i turn the headights on. So when i turn the indicator so the corner lights turn on its on bright. Then i turn it again to turn the headlights on and it dims. Hope that helps👍

Good day sir? What socket should be replaced to change the light?
I just don't know if it is for the indicator
The back of the cluster has brown sockets that contain light bulbs that illuminate the cluster. Inside the brown sockets are small light bulbs that can be replaced. If you mean the bulbs for the indicators then i believe those are the black sockets located right behind the indicator locations. Hope that helps👍

@wyattsouthern4952 the brown bulbs for the cluster are T5!!👍 the T10 are a little bit bigger and are fore things like the trunk license plate light…i linked the ones i used in the description if you want more specifics👍

hello sir how did you solve the dull spot when turned on ,, ice blue,, i have an Ae101 its speedometer has several dull and bright spots and also all bulbs are same but the speedometer ones look sharp white
ok so saw the video it was the bulb on your side but mine has all bulbs working
On my Honda it was just due to the contact points from the bulbs to the cluster… im not sure why your getting dull spots if all your bulbs are installed correctly… huh. One thing i did notice is that by blacking out the clear reflector gauges trim, i was able to basically make the light more uniformly dispersed instead of having areas closer to the bulbs be brighter …since the LEDs are brighter than the stock bulbs but its not like it was a huge change soo if your having a big dull spot that isnt caused by a fault connection, i dont know what could be causing it… have you tried checking the bulbs???? Maybe switching them around?

My headlights are aftermarket from ebay. With LED bulbs. Theyre not really that good… the housing has started to allow water in after 2 years and the LED really arent that bright.. ehh I’ll probably change them for some stock housing with different LEDs👍
