    I love the honesty of a pure factory championship bike....untouched and fresh from the last podium.
    Unrestored winners might appear a little shabby,but to some of us....they are not bathed in oil, mud and fluids they are bathed in glory.
    Having seen the trick bits...all I wanted to do was grab that 4 wired throttle grip that looks so legit.
    Cheers!....on a "too clean" cherry of Mx history.

    I saw that bike in Luxembourg GP in 89. Hated hondas, would love to get my 90 KX100, rode itfor the acu schoolboy nationals that year, it would be my last year of racing as i started the 91 season in the seniors and wanted to keep it forever as it had slechten exhaust pipe, rebored, kehein carb, lots of other stuff too.
    I gave up mid 91 and it was abig mistake. I had nothing to do with the sport, i actively avoided it, i only just found out we broke usas record mxdn streak, i met rob herring and paul malin at Worcester offroad motorcycle academy in 86 with Roger Harvey when i was 10.

      I appreciate those hondas now especially the 86 or 85 with that fuel tank vacuum pump.

    I couldn't believe it when Dave went to kawasaki. Kaos on the Honda team might have pushed him out.

    So you said those forks did not have the works internals?

    Looks like the rear wheel has more spokes than standard?

  • @marcusfistarol8270
    @marcusfistarol8270 ปีที่แล้ว

    Maybe the silencer is more quiete during tech-inspection?

    • @Daniel456324
      @Daniel456324 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the standard silencer on my CR500, similar in size though different materials. It's definately more restrictive than a FMF or ProCircuit, but it gives it more bottom end torque at the expense of top end performance.

    It might be a great bike but it's nowhere near as beautiful as those earlier works Honda's from 85 onwards. Those bikes looked like they were from another planet at the time.
