Noooooo!!! The first woman was much more pretty with the long wavy gray hair! It was gorgeous on her and brought out her eyes so much more !
these people are ridiculous.. that first woman was stunning...she was so unique looking and she wasn't even a slob. her clothes were cute, nice boots, all she needed was some nice make up. and maybe straighten her hair to switch it up or something.. when will shows like this realize that not everybody should look the same?

Her big wavy, salt and pepper hair was beautiful. She honestly didn't need a makeover.
I think her hair needed help. It needed some texturing and layers to take the bulk out - and that's it. However, she likely grew it back like most long haired folks who have their cut off do.

The firefighter in the before, she has such beautiful eyes, smile and gorgeous thick natural hair. After the makeover, like a lot of other comments said, she has a generic look. The before is what I would strive to look like as I age.
This is the first one where I actually preferred her (first woman) hair before. It was so much fun with that body and wave! And she said she was very low-maintenance so coloring her hair will just make her life harder in the long run. I personally think all gray/silver hair can be beautiful on women, especially when they have such volume!
Mariesque - I agree. I have hair similar to hers and recently had a lot cut off and actually prefer to straighten it because it's way too much to deal with. Although her straight hair and makeup are nice, I think they did her a dishonor. Her face and eyes are SO beautiful, that they made her less so with all the makeup.
Yep; I prefer how she looked before as well--she was gorgeous, vibrant, and original! The makeover is a blend in with the crowd look. I also think they should work in the person's maintenance preferences...why force hair color on her? And why must stylists ALWAYS straighten hair that has any wave or curl?
I was expecting some kind of short in the back long on top kind of undercut thing, would look so nice iwth her waves.

I agree. Her hair before was so unique and she looked so beautiful. She still looks beautiful, but now she looks like every other woman they've had on there. Long hair, they cut it; dark hair, they lighten it; grey hair, they color it. The styles all look almost alike too.

i guess it would be far more efficient to make one only standard mock face mask witn the proper blond flat lame wig built in and give one to each woman in the world to wear before we go out. So that no one had to be herself any more and could find happiness at last

But I loved her hair before... silver and voluminous and stunning. Also, she looks waayy better without makeup. She is a natural beauty.
They messed the First Lady up. People need to stop putting everyone into a box. Everyone doesn't want straight hair. Her hair was wavy and beautiful and she has a beautiful shape. Well I hope it grows out.

The first woman had a unique beauty before. Still pretty after, but common pretty. Which doesn't really stand out.
Nooooo! the 1st one looked a 1000 times better with her original hair!!!! Now she just looks ordinary! Like any other middle aged mom out there who has no imagination! Her old hairstyle & colour was beautiful and made her very interesting looking! Lotsa character! I hope she lets it get back to what it was before.

Exactly what I was thinking! Plus her grays come in in a cool pattern and it accents her great curl pattern. I am young but have grays going in a pattern as well and I don't want to change it in the future.

Would love to see one of these where they leave the BEAUTIFUL natural gray. When I decided to stop coloring my hair after 30 years I was actually disappointed I don't have more silver than I do! Won't let the beauty industry tell me gray hair and lines/wrinkles aren't beautiful. They are evidence of LIFE!
Honest I find natural grey hair absolutely stunning. I love seeing women grey gracefully without dying it.

Lisa Beets Grey hair is okay provided that it has some silver coloring added to it to make it glossy and pretty!! My Dad, for example, had beautiful silver hair, and I privately called him "The Silver Fox"! In the case of the two ladies, maybe they should've had their ends trimmed and layers added for style, and some color to even out the grey tones without covering to much of the hair.
I really liked the way the first one looked before the make over, she looked so sweet and approachable, very pretty. After the make over she looked great too but it took away her identity in my opinion. x
They ruined the first woman😢 She looked awesome before, just needed a little trim, maybe a flat iron, and a little makeup. This makes me so mad, smh.
I love women with grey her, I admire them for being brave and going against fashion, and I think it says a lot about their personality...
The first woman, i actually prefer her previous look. She looks gorgeous with that wavy hair with grey hair streak. Plus, she already has beautiful face.
Why they ruined her natural silver hair? She just needed a nice trim and blow dry, or a treatment to define her curls. That smooth look only lasts an hour. Not a real transformation.
I agree. She had such beautiful hair. All it needed was a slight trim, treatment and perhaps a semi permanent colour to turn the greys into highlights. No blow drying straight. Just something to enhance her mature curls. Well maintained and trimmed long hair is so convenient and versatile and not costly and time wasting to maintain. And men prefer it.

Yeah when curly is cut one should think about how it will lay curly and straight. With her job she probably will not have time to straighten it often.

The media tells young and old that we are not good enough the way we are and must adapt to their image of perfection. Big money is behind the push to deceive the masses. I love how the lady's husband came and gaver her a hug and a kiss. He didn't want to leave her side. Fabulous. The first lady they took away all her uniqueness. I have curly hair and I'll remember to tell the hairdresser just enhance what I have don't make me someone else. 1st lady looked amazing with that salt and pepper hair and her eyes stood out so much more.

I LOVED the wavy long dark grey hair with the stripes in it. A bit of color and styling and makeup would have made her gorgeous but in her personal style without taking away her uniqueness. Everyone looks the same on that show.

Do Americans hate curls? That first woman is absolutely stunning and has the prettiest hair I have seen in a long time. And now they turned her into someone that looks like she wants to hide herself and looks like any unremarkable tv presenter lady. Such a sad program, standardizing these women.

What bothers me they make them look kinda all the same. Shoulder-lenthg or chin-length hair, straight...Its like this hairstylist knew only one cut...the first lady was much better before.
Skadi the Beast I know she looked more prettier in the face. For her, whacking the hair off and applying the (fake) makeup dumbed down her looks. She smiled with her eyes before, now she looks like a washed out cosmopolitan.

Yeah it's like they get curly hair and just want to straighten all the time. I have curly hair, it's irritating. Stylists on here should know how to style a wide variety of textures and make them unique.

This woman is totally gorgeous in the before shot and looks completely like a Stepford wife in the after (like she got everything done at the local mall). I hope she grows the color out and lets her hair be wild and wonderful like it was before. The only change I would have her do is to whiten her teeth, get some subtle color on her face and figure out some chic clothing that highlights her great shape (not that ridiculous dress).
After binge watching these makeovers, and reading the comments, I have learned that they really do boycott curly hair, and Luis is addicted to honey brown light hair and highlights. Y’all are right

I totally agree with most of the comments. This women and her hair were beautiful, natural and unique before, she is still beautiful after the makeover but no longer natural and unique. I would not have changed a thing.

First lady was gorgeous natural. She didn't need a makeover. Second lady, the makeover was improvement. Try to stay as natural as possible ladies. Natural is the most beautiful.
Low maintenance is the more stunning look here.
Now she just looks like those presenter clones. She was gorgeous and unique before they got ahold of her. They have also made her life more difficult and expensive. It's a pain to maintain that hair, just to look like everybody else. That green dress is ghastly. And don't get me started on the stupid shoes they always choose.
