Great transformations. BUT why was the only African hair shown straightened as though black hair texture has NO intrinsic beauty or value. Pity, pity, pity that black hair is so despised & depreciated by both blacks & whites. 🙄😕😒
@Addicted to coffee that is EXACTLY the problem ....how is it black natural hair is NOT trendy when white STRAIGHT hair is ALWAYS trendy?
@Addicted to coffee the TV show & fashion industry must BOTH take responsibility in these matters so that none is guilty of subtle or overt or unintended racist messaging
They did go out of their way to say she looked beautiful both ways and that it was just a different look. Curly-haired people got straightened, straight-haired people got curled, light-haired people got darkened, dark-haired people got lightened. But I agree that African hair is beautiful.
@@SH-wn9xh ... yes i did hear them say that .... & it is objectively true that those with straight her may want curls/kink & vice versa .... just as one may prefer blue to pink. BUT NEVER forget the racist undertones of straight is acceptable & kink is NOT good enough/ professional/ the look we want/ not pretty/ ....etc. And this racist notion is both with black & white people to such a degree that one is denied work & opportunities & put down because of it.
They make sure make the black woman appear older she was better before

One way to ruin the fun of makeovers is by bringing politics into them when it's utterly unrelated
