If you use spaghetti noodles then add a tablespoon of baking soda to the boiling water and you will get significantly chewier noodles. It basically makes ramen noodles for a fraction of the price
@@midlifemom5829yes but I add the baking soda into my water the same time as the salt (be warned it will foam up at first so watch for that) before the water starts to heat up. I did experiments with the amounts and I don’t really notice a difference if you over do it on the baking soda since there is only so much chemical reactions that can happen and I always wash my pasta off in cold water to stop the cooking process to make sure it stays al dente since it’s going to either be stir fried or added to a hot broth of some kind. I almost never do a full box at a time either since most of my family doesn’t seem to want my food since I like my food extra spicy.
One of my favorite things about your videos is when you say; don't have all the ingredients, don't worry about it. Then you point out how you can make the dish with fewer or different ingredients, so helpful.
0:45: “Just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s not great.” YES! The simpler recipes are often my favorite ones. Too many “chefs” try to make up for their lack of talent and imagination with a bazillion exotic ingredients and weird techniques and the results are… boring. This looks great! Thank you, Aaron and Claire!
Yakisoba is one of my favorite things to make on a busy weeknight when I haven't planned out a meal (usually just because of last minute plan changes). I love that it is easy, fast, and very versatile. Thank you for the sauce recipe! I definitely need to try that!
This is a fantastic recipe! The sauce is amazing. I have made it twice with spaghetti noodles and love it. I'm definitely putting it in my recipe card box.
Thanks for the recipe, I just made it and it so delicious! It's gonna be one of my favorite dishes. I skipped worcestershire sauce because I couldn't find it in my local shops, and used udon noodles, but it was really good.
Fantastic, these noodle dishes are an excellent quick dinner that never gets old. Hope people buy your cook book, with just a few changes you can create several dishes from each recipe. So simple and so delicious. Trust me! Shalom
This looked so good & I always enjoy watching Aaron's knife skills. Claire does such a good job with her descriptions. Hodu was doing the booty-scoot in the background had me dying🤣🤣🤣🤣

I just had a days leftover (that needed to be eaten to avoid food waste) burger patty. Where do you purchase your massive vegetables? This is a must try if I can find the ingredients. 😊
I made this today using gluten free spaghetti and subbing the soy sauce for coconut aminos and thick cut bacon for the pork belly. I don't know how it tastes in restaurants but this recipe was fantastic like all your recipes that I've made
I’m also GF and Kikkoman makes a couple different kinds of GF soy sauce, a regular kind and also a “sweet rice” kind and I think both are really good. Panda makes a GF oyster sauce but sadly I don’t like it as much as the original that contains wheat.
I usually make yakisoba with chicken or beef because I am allergic to pork, I will for sure try your version on the sauce! Do you have any ideas on how to get that pork flavor or something similar without actually using pork? I feel like that is what is needed to elevate the dish but have not really found anything yet Great video as always!
Yes, you can! But the bacon can make it a little salty, so when making the sauce, you might need to reduce some soy sauce or oyster sauce. When everything is done, taste and add some more to suite your taste. 😍
I liked your videos more when you did not put sponsor adds in and you and your wife went out to eat please get back to those videos .. the cool place you and her went to eat was amazing

Yum! 😋 What can I use in place of Worcestershire sauce?
Worcestershire sauce is an essential ingredient for yakisoba sauce, so it can’t be substituted. 😅🙏
I have made so many of your dishes. Looks like I have a new one to make! I always love Claire's food reviews. Thanks Aaron and Claire!
I’m making this for the second time tonight. Agree fresh sauce is so much better ❤
