Hi Chris, Great insight into your van build, I have a lwb Crafter that I’m just sourcing parts for and am wondering what size skylight you used down the back. The box section bracing in my roof is too close together for biggest size, maybe yours is different being the xlwb. Looking forward to seeing your next step 👍

Hey! Thanks for watching! The size for the skylight is 500 x 700mm for a 42-60 mm roof thickness! I picked it up from here:

I actually sawed away one of the sections which go across the top of the van to make room!

Thanks for the video - some great tips. I am about to lift the floor on my VW Crafter LWB. I am keen to reuse the floor and have lifted the first bit. There is a lot of glue kicking about - what did you use to get the glue up from the floor? Cheers!

Hey Ian! Thanks for watching. Getting the glue up was a bit of a nightmare. I used some of the De-Solv-it sticky remover and left it on overnight nearly - it might take a few times to get it though! I also used a heat gun and a scraper on a few parts. It was a bit of trial and error! Hope this helps!

Hey Chris, great stuff. Do you find those rear vent windows to let in much light and ventilation? Any condensation/ heat loss/cold issues? Are they worth it? Planning ahead for my own Crafter. Thanks!

Hey Peter! Sorry for the late reply! They let in a little bit of light and the ventilation is good! As I’m still building and not yet stayed in it I can’t comment too much on condensation and heat loss etc but will update you in time 😊 I love them though and the fly net is a must! They look really cool too!

Hi Chris, what's your skills /job? Are you a trades man of any type? I'm thinking of doing this, but wondering if it's in my ability. Keep putting up videos.

Hey! I am actually a photographer and have very little experience of doing DIY work but I am giving it a go and learning from TH-cam. I have also roped in a few people for some jobs too! Give it a go, you wont regret it! New video coming tomorrow!
