    This could be one of the best additions to your GoPro or insta360 style camera. Being able to have a selfie stick that is also a 6800mAh battery is such a great idea. What are your thoughts?

    As a guy on TV once said - "more power - oh, oh, oh".
    Yes! I saw the light (in the corner). And the stick - a little bit.
    That is a great addition to mobile vlogging at a relatively good price ($98.00 Canadian).

    This looks very nice and always keep your gopro charged up and keep making youtube videos or vlogs all day long. Will this work with Akaso action cameras too? It would be cool if it was a solar charger too when your out. I think that would be great addition. What the total weight? Pretty soon I'm getting the gopro action camera probably hero 7. Very good review and stay safe!

      hey heaven, i know this is a month late & you've probably figured it out by now, i too had to google that same question. it's kind of weird. when you start charging you should get a blue light right next to the charging port (which is the smaller usbC port) - when the blue light is on, it's charging, when it disappears apparently it's charged. i don't love that, but that's supposedly how it works:)))

      @@JesusGaveMeNewSoul thank you again heaven, i'd better stop thanking you or i'll start bugging you with all my replies. i will say this though, i have two of the BG2 (i think the one you have 6500ma). the only reason i'm on this video was because of the same damn question you had. i actually found the answer on the vid i watched before this one, but then went down the rabbit hole of trying to see if there was some other stuff i didn't know about it. well...i then saw that they now make a BG3 which is 10,000 Mha, & can charge 2 things at once & supposedly run gopros while they are recording without taking out gopro battery, and has 4 charge indicator lights, so...of course i just ordered one hahahaha. just thought i'd let you know in case you had a bunch of extra money laying around:)))

  • @Ira88881
    @Ira88881 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mind just arrived today, but I made a mistake. I should have ordered the 3. However...
    From what I saw in another video, if you have the battery installed on your GoPro, you can’t shoot when it’s plugged in. It only charges the battery. I’m doing my initial charge now, so I don’t know yet. If this is true, it can be a real inconvenience at times.
    However, I have the Media Mod on my 9, where swapping out batteries is a bit of a pain, so for 30 bucks, to be able to charge the battery internally, is worth the price of admission alone...plus to be able to charge the phones.

    • @8barbies779
      @8barbies779 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi Ira, hey can you answer a question for me if you don't mind? i read that too about the gopro battery thing. did you find that to be true? do you know if it's all versions of the gopro? i haven't bought a gopro yet & trying to decide which model to get. i have 2 of the ulanzis, i use them for my phone up in alaska when we're fishing out of a couple cabins that have no power, so i love em for that, but was curious about the gopro battery thing while pluged in & not recording while gopro battery is in. do you like your setup or is it kind of a pain? thank you very much Ira.

    • @Ira88881
      @Ira88881 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@8barbies779 You know what’s weird? I never even tried. Here’s why:
      I’ve been using the Ulanzi just to charge the internal battery without having to open up the Media Mod to remove the battery. In other words...
      I use the Ulanzi as a selfie-stick, shoot for however long, and then when I have a period where I’m not shooting, I connect it to the camera just to charge the battery.
      I never have to shoot like hours in a row nonstop, but if I ever did and had to remove the internal battery, it wouldn’t be a big deal.

      @@Ira88881 hey thanks so much for responding Ira, i really appreciate it. like i said i have 2 of the bg2 (6500mah), bought em a year ago i think. i pulled em out yesterday to get ready for alaska & couldn't remember how the damn charge indicator lite worked so i started watching videos & of course this led me down a rabbit hole. guess what, maybe you already knew this, but they now make a bg3 that is 10,000mah, a couple inches longer, grippier grip, it now can charge 2 devices at once, has 4 charge indicator lights & is claiming to run gopro with gopro battery in while recording. so obviously you know what i did...yup, ordered one right up hahahahah, i'm such a nerd.

    • @Ira88881
      @Ira88881 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@8barbies779 When I bought the 2, the 3 was already out...but I didn’t know it existed! Mine has the charging lights, but when I bought it, the older model without the lights was also still being sold.
      I’m starting a YT channel...a studio set-up at home, and thought I was going to use the GoPro for it, but it ain’t gonna work. The focal length is too wide for my needs. I’m shooting with a ceiling mounted, pull-down Elgato green screen!
      So I’ll be using my DSLR, a Sigma fp, and I’ve spent a FORTUNE the last few months on lights, soft boxes, tons of other crap.
      Are you taking a cruise to Alaska now that you finally can? If so, I know all the headaches that have been involved with this! We’re taking a cruise in October.

      @@Ira88881 no, i have a fishing outfit for kings & silvers with 3 remote little cabins on a cool remote little river, we have solar & a generator but when we're out fishing, it's nice to have extra power. i know nothing about camera equip/lighting etc. so i'm impressed with your knowledge. i'm thinking about getting a gopro to film clients, but i fly out in a couple days, so that will have to wait again:))) but, the tripod is nice for my phone. that bg3 was probably out when i bought mine too. funny thing is, is the only reason i found these was because one day i said to myself, 'you know what would be cool, a tripod with a battery', there must be a million of em. well, i was surprised how few there are:)
