    BTW, if it gets hot enough to explode/catch fire your plastic bins are flammable and a excellent fuel source for growing a small fire into a huge one. Not what I would recommend if you're predicting a explosive situation.

      Not to mention keeping them enclosed will increase the heat as it cant escape or get cool air flowing inside

    i never had aa charger in my life and im thinking about buying something simple, should i just get Panasonic Eneloop BQ-CC55 ?
    seems like it has good reviews and u get 4 batteries with it....

    Can I charge batteries in a different brand charger? The batteries say not to mix, but I don't know if that's just marketing. I have a mixture of Duracell, Energizer, and Panasonic batteries. I only have the Panasonic charger (Duracell charger is dead). Not sure if this is important, but they are all about 15 years old NiMH AA batteries. The chargers are both class 2.

    Thanx 4 the review. I have the LaCross and like it. Does the Titanium auto switch to a trickle charge when fully charged like the LaCross?

    • @dqstudios
      @dqstudios  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! But I do find our LaCross charges run really really cool (which is good) when trickle-charging. Titanium isn't hot at all - like you can still put your skin right next to it without having to withdraw. But cooler is better but in any case, the recommendation is to remove from charger after 24hrs. Hope this helps!

      @tortland1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok....thanx. So I think the LaCross is better to repair batteries and to keep them charged and ready to use when needed. The Titanium is better if to charge MORE batteries fast and use them soon. So I need to buy 2 more LaCross chargers to have up to 12 batteries fully charged when I need them, or find another charger that trickle charges.......thanks.

    Hi ..please question
    i read the reviews at amazon about ( la Crosse Technology charger ) maybe many of the issue that face people with this charger .. that it won't work for too long time or some things won't work like mode button... i mean short life ..some of them after 1 year some of them more or maybe less ?
    is this true ?
    because i want good charger .. but i don't want it to dead in few months or few years.

      I concur. The buttons went intermittent in about 18-months. Not reliable

    So I like the idea of controlling everything about the charge so the Lacrosse type makes the MOST sense... but I have AA,AAA and even 2/3 AA 1.2V at 150mAh batteries so is there a charge I can buy that does a lot of different battery standards while also allowing me to select lower mAh charge rates??????? As well I've noticed a trend that battery testers are just cheap devices most likely just measuring V which in itself is not an accurate test and I can do that with a MM anyway... How do larger batteries detect a full charge or a good/bad battery I'm guessing a top notch unit that does everything could cost over $100 I don't care do you know of the BEST charger in the WORLD without concern for cost one that literally does everything even load testing?

      The answer lies above my pay grade 😁 I think consulting an electrical engineer would be your best bet. Good luck and happy charging!

    what's wrong with the ansmann 16 bay charger...
    see you made a derogatory comment about it...
    own every single charger you outlined and the ANSMANN is the best by a long shot..my opinion and per experience!

    • @dqstudios
      @dqstudios  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Big. Heavy. Ansman failed to recondition older Eneloop batteries (were dead according to the charger) but my Lacrosse chargers reconditioned them.
