    NOTE!! The Arrows on the K&N Air filter point inwards towards the bike not outwards!

      I figured as much as when if you put the arrows facing the bike the K&N logo faces out which seems right.

    I like your video,a lot of people were removing the gas tank and stuff in their tutorials but I don’t see that as necessary unless your bike is maybe really old, just seems to be more complicated that way

      You can try blowing it out with compressed air. However it’s normally best to replace them when the time comes for the oem paper filters.

    If you want to add a full exhaust to the bike, as well as the intake. would you need to get it tuned?

    • @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs
      @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Or install a custom map with a power commander to take advantage of the modifications. Otherwise it’ll be sluggish and produce less power because it’s either leaning out or running to rich throughout the power band.

    brother i m confused, i thought that the arrows on the k&n air filter, wants us to put the filter in from that direction but u r saying that the arrows should be pointed towards us or outwards,
    now what should i do

    • @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs
      @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly I didn’t notice much of a difference but there was a slight improvement. It wasn’t drastic but on some hills I traveled frequently I noticed the bike did breathe easier and required less throttle to continue at the same speed up the hill

    • @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs

      Not really. If you want the bike to sound better you’re better off doing an exhaust.

  • @Concordeagle
    @Concordeagle 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Are you sure the arrows go *away* from the bike? I think the arrows mean you insert the filter *inwards*, towards the bike.

    • @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs
      @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s what I originally thought aswell but when I contacted the people I bought it off they said arrows out. So im not 100% sure ive had mine installed for ages with no issues. But it’s upto you which way you install it into your bike.

    • @Concordeagle
      @Concordeagle 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Checked with my dealer and the arrows definitely go pointed towards engine. Otherwise you will not feel the lip "catch" under the airbox far edge tab and will have a gap of unfiltered air getting into engine. You should feel the rubber engage the plastic tab if you do it right.

    • @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs
      @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the info man I checked mine today and the arrows were pointing inward but i have had the filter out a few times to clean it etc since this video was made. I also played around with it today and it still feels like it goes under that lip installed both ways. But im going to try a find a way to edit some text into the video stating that or ill put it in the description.

    Could you put a cold air intake on the R3 like a car? lol

    • @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs
      @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't see why you couldn't but it wouldn't make that much of a difference. You would however run the risk of getting dirt and debris in your intake due to where the intake is located "in front of the rear wheel" if you installed a pod filter or some other modified intake.

    • @mikefawc22
      @mikefawc22 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DaSpedza MotoVlogs yeah I found the placement to be a bit strange pointing right at the the rear wheel I was actually thinking of if I put a cold air intake that I could change the location aswell I’m only wondering cause I find my bike runs a little hotter when riding in town not over heating but hotter then I like

    • @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs
      @DaSpedzaMotoVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey dude the cold air intake wont change the temperature the bike runs at, all a cold air intake will do is allow the bike to breathe more air in. If you want to change how hot the bike runs it may pay to see if they sell a cooler degree thermostat. That can open up a whole can of worms due to the ecu needing the engine at a certain temperature otherwise it’ll over fuel all the time to compensate.
      But also check if your cooling system is fine like coolant, water pump are working correctly and also the radiator isn’t covered in leaves or grime etc.
      Most of the time the thermofans keep the bike from overheating and they mostly run warmer in town and stop start traffic due to the lack of airflow around the engine. Hope this helps man.
