The Canon EOS M6 Mark II is a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera that was announced by Canon in August 2019. Here are some key features and specifications of the Canon EOS M6 Mark II:
Sensor: It features a 32.5-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, which is capable of producing high-resolution images.
Image Processor: The camera is powered by the DIGIC 8 image processor, which contributes to fast performance and improved image quality.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF: The camera includes Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology for quick and accurate autofocus during both still photography and video recording.
Continuous Shooting: It has an impressive continuous shooting speed of up to 14 frames per second (fps) with the autofocus tracking feature.
ISO Range: The ISO range is expandable up to 51,200, allowing for good low-light performance.
4K Video Recording: The M6 Mark II supports 4K video recording at up to 30fps and also has Full HD recording options.
LCD Screen: The camera features a 3-inch tilting touchscreen LCD monitor, which is useful for composing shots from different angles.
Electronic Viewfinder (Optional): While the camera itself doesn't have a built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF), there is an optional EVF attachment that can be purchased separately.
Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: It comes with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for easy sharing of images and remote control via a smartphone or tablet.
Compact Design: As a mirrorless camera, the M6 Mark II is relatively compact and lightweight, making it suitable for on-the-go photography.

I just bought 2 of these at the beginning of the year (2024) still learning how to use them.

It won’t take you long, it’s very intuitive.

My M6II is the best camera I have. I have a mic mounted on my tripod. I never bought the viewfinder. I have a viltrox adapter and a viltrox speedbooster. I have a few older EF lenses. My best lens is a Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 EF mount. I can shoot it at 17mm f/2 with the speedbooster. I mostly use FV mode for my photos.

I have the Canon EF-EFM adapter but not sure if it's worth getting the speedbooster too.

@@AmbivertXennial the Viltrox speed booster is worth it. It makes 24mm f/2.8 into 17mm f/2. It makes a big difference.

@@AmbivertXennial remember, the speed booster is only EF to EF-M. EF-S will not work.

great video! i'm eyeing the m6 mk2 for travel, my r6mk2 is amazing but a bit too big for my taste for daily use to be honest

My combo for lightweight travel is the M6mkII + 22mm which gives me almost a 35mm focal length, great for street shooting and “landscape” if I stand far enough. Also very inconspicuous, doesn’t scare people away when shooting street.

in my opinion probably still the best camera for traveling light. the EF-M18-150, 11-22 and 32 mm F/1.4 combo is perfect for the purpose. With adapter and L series lenses it becomes a monster! The video side is also discreet and by choosing a neutral profile it produces files that are very workable in post production even if we are not talking about 10 bit; it's really a shame that Canon has decided to discontinue the M series; perhaps not even Canon had understood its potential!

Absolutely! With street photography, it’s very inconspicuous. I have the Nikon Zf and that one is heavy as a brick and I still find myself grabbing my Canon M6 when going for street shoots. I also found some film simulation recipes online that made it even more inspiring and interesting to shoot.

I still keep my M6 (White) and M6 Mark II (Black), they are both good enough for me, since I am just a casual user.👍
This is my lens line up:
    Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 STM
    Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM
Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM (This is my must bring out lens)

These are great lenses, I have allnof the EFM lenses you listed except for the 15-45 because I sold that and bought the 11-22. I’m assuming you need the adaptor for the sigma lenses?

15-45 comes with the body as a set, which I seldom use too, its a good and light weight lens to bring out, but I still prefer using prime lenses 🤣

Thank you. I own this camera and different lenses. Your information is very valuable, much appreciated. One question regarding your zoom lenses. I have a like new barely used 28-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS USM lens’s that I intend to put to use with my camera instead of buying the EF-M zoom. What is your advise/opoinion between the two. Thanks again.

I picked up an M6 a few months ago as my compact travel camera and debating if upgrading it an M6 mark II is worth it
P.S. you only have audio coming out of the left channel. Not sure if you've fixed it in future videos but I think its because of the lav mic (my guess is if there's a 2nd lav, it would play through the right channel) and you just need to copy it over to the other side.

    • @AmbivertXennial
      @AmbivertXennial  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Oh, I didn’t know that. Maybe that’s why I have issues with my audio with this mic. Thanks, I’ll look into it.
