This is VERY different from my 2006 XT which has, for one thing "Sports Shift" as part of the auto transmission, this lets you switch out of the orthodox setup and choose for yourself when to change up (or down) so you can extend the rev range before shifting. Then again, my one is Europe spec.
@@mixedreviews2246 Ya the Euro and Aussie markets all got cooler options, like a dual range transfer case and the SportShift, not to mention the actual Forester STI in Japan. I have seen some headlight washers too, but am not sure where those come from.
Nice. I've been trying to source a edm or Aussie tcu to try and Frankenstein my 06 fxt usdm to sportshift. Got an extra one laying around by chance? Haha
Prices on the manuals are going up crazy. Hard to find low mileage, clean manuals. I found an 04 with 80k miles and no rust, but paid the price for it.. wish I bought one when I bought my 15 fxt back in 2019 instead of waiting.
youdo not need change and tune, simple learn to drive and thats enough for more than 90% situation. Got 2,5 XT with 4EAT gearbox (in Europe) and konow what I'am telling, only mnodification is DBA sloted discs and Ferodo DS perormance pads and yeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Oh yeah, original stock parts, regular service with good oil and ORIGINAL OIL FILTER. 244.000 km, problems (for now) none.
its not an sti motor, or pushing 245hp. I have a 2008 2.5 xt, and its sick, but the sti motor thing is a complete myth. It shares a block with the sti and thats about it. The sti motor has different pistons, a coated crankshaft, completely different heads with dual avcs, a red intake manifold (how to easily identify one), and a few other differences in supporting hardware. The max these EJ255s ever pushed from factory was 230bhp.
Subaru Forester SG5 XT is on my shopping list!!!
Great Snow Clip!! Reminds me of when I turned 16 !

That’s rad. Didn’t know that was even an option!

@@sssnake2332 that’s usually how it is! Hahah

I recently bought one of the last PPP Forester's. I sometimes just drive it to listen to it talking.
Nice review
Hello from Kent Washington !!!

I love my 2015 Fozzy XT

prices for the manuals are high because they represent about 10% of the '04 and '05 made for the US market
Best Subaru ever made (SG9 STi)
what exhaust are you running? just a downpipe?
It was a Cobb Downpipe and SPT Catback
My 2006 limited fxt 5mt is for sale.
Is it still up for grabs?
@Sean Godfrey sold months ago For a cheap price compared to what most were posting it for. Clean title too.
@@laosracer12 RIP! looking to get a manual fozzy but they are hard to come by.
I will not take my Forrester XT out on Friday nights or the weekends because she drinks too much.
Thumbs up :-)
What wheel specs?
I think they were 16x8 Rota Slipstreams
@@mixedreviews2246 yea, thats what i thought they were, but didnt know it they were reps or not. Either way they look good!!!
