He’s actually holding back in this version, vocally. He’s also in his 60’s here. In my opinion he’s the greatest “blues/rock” vocalist of all time! You must listen to the studio version of their son “Bad Company”.
He got a lot of hate during that time, but if you go back and listen to it, he sang his ass off in every song while on Queen. Just killed it. Its way more appreciative now in hindsight than it was at the time.
This is a great song and I have a funny story about it. When I was young 7 or 8 my Uncle played it and sang it one day in the backyard. The next week I hear it on the radio and freaked out thinking it was my Uncle in the radio. Young innocents. Anyway Shooting Star is probably my favorite song followed by Bad Company. But definitely check out Shooting Star great story! Keep doing what you do.
There's a Great word to Describe Bad Company and it's "ICONIC" such a Great Band!! Saw them open up for My Favorite Band Van Halen!! Best Concert Ever!! ❤️❤️❤️💯🔥🎸😁👍
For your info, Bad Company was signed in the 70's by Led Zeppelin to their Swansong label. The UK classic rock band was formed by Paul Rodgers (vocals) & Simon Kirke (drums), who were members of UK rock band Free. Guitarist Mick Ralphs (ex- Mott the Hoople) and bassist Boz Burrell (ex- King Crimson) were the original members... they debuted the first Bad Company album in 1974 and they dominated the 70's decade w/ 5 hit albums. Unfortunately, Zeppelin's dissolution in 1980 after their drummer John Bonham died, also ended the Swansong label by the early 80's. Bad Company disbanded... Paul Rodgers briefly sang in The Firm, Jimmy Page's post-Zeppelin band, and recorded 2 albums. Simon Kirke and Mick Ralphs opted to relaunch Bad Company in 1986 w/ (late) vocalist Brian Howe, and had some success in late 80's/early 90's... Brian Howe left Bad Company in 1994; he passed away in 2020... Bad Company briefly hired vocalist Robert Hart. Bad Company finally reunited w/ original vocalist Paul Rodgers in 1998... Rodgers & Simon Kirke have kept Bad Company touring til today - former Heart guitarist Howard Leese in the band now, w/ bassist Todd Ronning... Paul Rodgers had also toured w/ Queen members as Queen+Paul Rodgers in the 2000's until 2009.
While he still can sing. . Young Paul Rodgers was lethal listening! Please react to "Heavy Load" or "Fire & Water" by Free, also fronted by Paul. . Paul Rodgers is my favorite singer of all time! You reacting to this make me so happy!
One of the true greats of rock and roll frontmen. May I suggest the title track of their original album, Bad Company? My favorite song by them. Rock Steady is a close second as well.
Lead singer, Paul Rogers took over Freddie Mercury's Place whenever Queen went on tour, after Freddie died. Adam Lambert has taken over from Paul now. But they both have done him proud. 💙❤🎤🎼🇬🇧🇺🇸
I think I'd like live performances if they all had audio quality like this one. I don't think I've run into this band before, good song, I should check out the rest of their stuff. the "I'll pass, bro" made me laugh pretty loud. nice timing.
I know you dont do Requests unless you get a donation but I would love it if you checked out a song dear to My heart that noone I watch has ever reacted to. its called "Sing it one more Time like that" by a little known band called 'Trout Fishing in America"
The song “Bad Company” by Bad Company is also a killer. “Seagull” is amazing if you want a more acoustic vibe.

Paul Rodgers is considered as one of the greatest singers in rock. Not a screamer but singer.
The original version came out in the mid 70's and was much harder. Great album.
While this live performance is superb, the studio version is my preference. A great song, by a great band. No real complaints here. 😉😊
Still love Bad Co to this day. That said, the studio version is definitely more full-bodied and melodic.
Their "Bad Company" is a favorite, plus has one of the best drops ever!
Paul Rogers has one of the best rock/blues voices
I second that!
@@allanbluzdude I third it.
@MrLBoyd thank you for taking me back to my prime days! You sir have a great evening, and as always enjoy it thoroughly. 💯 respect…
Check out bad company by this group ffdp redone it but the orginal is the best
Shooting Star is a good one!
Yes!
Please listen to their album "Ten From Six," ie: ten hits from a band of six men. Every one a winner! Bad Company still ROCKS after all these years!
Shooting star is my personal favourite bad company song. By far tells the best story
Talent, talent, talent - deep in this band!
That's a mandolin he's playing along with guitar. I love mandolin in rock songs! Led Zeppelin and Rod Stewart also used a lot of mandolin.
Paul Rodgers (the singer) here toured with queen years ago and it was a pretty great concert . They ever preformed a couple of bad company songs
He got a lot of hate during that time, but if you go back and listen to it, he sang his ass off in every song while on Queen. Just killed it. Its way more appreciative now in hindsight than it was at the time.
If that ain't the droppiest drop ever. 40 years, goosebumps every time. What. A. Riff.

Pretty sure this came out right before I was born so ill definitely give it to them for a live preformance 40 years later sounds good
You need to hear more BAD COMPANY. You won't be disappointed.

I was never really into Bad Company but this song, it’s one of my favorites. Awesome song.
This might not be the most popular Bad Company song, but I've always liked their cover of Youngblood. It's got a rock'n'roll feel that I like.
The opening instrument is a mandolin - usually thought of being used in Blue Grass music.

I really enjoy your reactions. I also love how quick your intros are. Much respect!
Studio is what we really know. I get you like live, but we grew up on vinyl.
The singer for bad company sang in Queen after Freddy Mercury passed
For sure Bad Company is for you
I miss singers that didn't need auto tune. It seems they are so rare now. 🥺
I'm sure he did and has since the song came out in the 70's 🙂
Put in hall.of fame
Try:bad company,fly like an eagle,love me somebody,ready for love,shooting star
Maybe MrLBoyd should do the live version and studio version back to back? I still wonder why there is no live rap reactions.
One of my all time favorites. I recommend Burning Sky next.
You should listen to the song Bad Company by the band Bad Company from the album Bad Company.
Lots of rabbit holes today. Good luck.
Amazing song, please do Muse, knights of Cydonia, live at Rome. Best live performance you’ll here
Check out rock n roll fantasy by badco
Listen to the album. Put on a good set of headphones. Crank it up. The whole power of this song did not come through in the recording of this video
☮️💙💙💙🔥
Sounds like he is playing a mandolin

Be honest. You either went and sang this to your woman or played it for her.
