Since you like harmony and background vocals, I would recommend Crosby, Stills and Nash's Suite Judy Blue Eyes or Southern Cross. The Eagles Seven Bridges road is harmony overload and worth a listen.

Old School Rock. One of the all time freshman albums in rock music. Excellent from beginning to end. They are unique in
that they don't blow you out with guitar solos but blend it in the fabric of the songs. Electric and acoustic. Excellent vocals.

When I was at a friend's party long ago,
      the topic turned to music,
BC came up & this one young lady asked about the band.
I thought she was cute so I spoke up.
THIS SONG was the 1st to come to mind.
Well I guess my delivery was more suggestive than I intended
because she blushed & looked away...
      OHHHH I noticed...
Yeah dummy me suddenly clues in that what I said wasn't just a song title,
      but a very personal request...
Yep, I thought I'd embarrassed her & blown any chance.
      and sure enough,
the result was the temporary loss of my mental song list for Bad Co., Straight Shooter & Run with the Pack albums
(within the split second, I'm SCREAMING IN MY HEAD): a song name....
Come on dammit, just one more song name!!!...
      blank...
Rightly so, the others sitting around the table erupted with laughter as I struggled.
LOL! I've been with her now for well over 30 years.

@@sc0repio662 I will never forget your beautiful story when I listen to any Bad Co song! You said exactly what you were supposed to say to your then future wife and not a thing more...fate!

    • @sc0repio662
      @sc0repio662 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@everlyoshea Please forgive the length,
but I think you might appreciate this.
      Ohhhh Yes indeedy!
That one little mistake started something...
Was it fate? Or a reward?
      I don't know.
After all this time, I still can't think of anything I've done in my life that the Guy Up Stairs found worthy enough for him to set me up with my superhero...
but I'm so grateful he did.
      To strengthen your assessment:
We lived roughly 4 blocks from each other much of our lives,
      but never really met.
We went to the same high-school,
but she was a few years behind me, so we never had a class together.
Though I think I remember seeing her in one of my Dad's classes one day.
(Yeah, my Dad was one of the Tech teachers at my high-school)
We had actually gone to the same birthday party for someone back then,
but even then, never officially met.
      Our life hasn't been easy,
but the fit between us still amazes us both...
      and astounds those we tell.
I've been called liar & fool because I took my marriage & the ceremony serious
      - no longer 2, but one flesh.
LOL! I didn't realize what that meant for me though...
That I would become the Early Warning for her often erratic cycles...
      (variances of 20 - 36 days)
I accurately made sure she had what she needed in her purse before we parted to start a work day...
I was a day early a couple of times,
      but I never missed.
LOL! I even gave her the heads up about the sneaky "final hurray" one - the one that waited for over a whole freaking YEAR after the end of her "pause".
      There were other things too
like the time I felt overwhelming dread for her just outta the blue,
to suddenly get a call from her that she was OK, but she'd be late getting home.
She was sitting a field, waiting for a tow truck after a near head-on & spin out in a sudden white-out snowstorm.
      The icing on the cake...
was time as we lay exhausted & semi conscious,
enjoying the glow after a rare opportunity for intimacy in busy lives...
I heard a tiny, but unmistakable giggle in my head...
      *and I KNEW*
I looked at my wife & said "Honey... we just made a baby."
She thought I was joking & playfully slapped me.
I said "OK doubt it, but just mark my words."
6 weeks later as we were walking through one of our fav public parks,
she says to me with a smile:
"You remember when ya said 'mark your words' "
The Doctors did their math & insisted we were off by a week or so...
      LOL! Noooooo...
      we were right
9 months TO THE DAY our daughter was born.
Many months later, Mommy had her bundled in a towel & was playin' peek-a-boo while drying her hair after a bath.
I was standing in the bathroom doorway...
My daughter suddenly looked at her Mom in the mirror,
then she looked straight at me
      & she giggled...
My breath caught & my strength momentarily left me...
it was the *exact same giggle* I'd heard in my head the day she was conceived.
