I'm an old woman and I have vivid memories of a good-looking man named Bruce Jenner walking away with a LOT of medals at the Olympics. I remember having cereal with his picture on the box. I remember hearing people talk about how strong he was and how athletic he was and how handsome he was. The name Bruce Jenner meant a lot to my friends and me. The name Caityln Jenner means nothing to me because I can think of NOTHING noteworthy that a person named Caityln Jenner has done EXCEPT end the existence of one of my childhood heroes and I cannot praise anyone who has done that.
its definetly banter. Carrell made ricky millions. Ricky definetly made more off the us version than the uk. And im pretty sure he had some part choosing actors
@@glorysmummyyeh realistacally they both made millions and millions together without actually working much together at all😂. Branched ricky over to america and made him money but also was very good for carrels career
Did you know that All in the Family was based on a British show called Til Death Do Us Part? The same is true of Sanford and Son being based on Steptoe and Son. It goes at least that far back. They've tried to do adaptations of Fawlty Towers but both of them failed - Amanda's - 13 episodes and Payne - 9 episodes.. As well as Coupling - only 10 episodes
One of my favorite British shows that's now a very successful American adaptation is Shameless. I'm an American, so I started watching the American version when it first aired, but I knew it was originally a British show, so I went back and binged the entire British version before continuing with the American version. I liked both versions, but the British version is so much better in my opinion. I also like a lot of the British reality shows.
If you've never watched The Extras which is another of Ricky's creations you really need to track it down and watch it. It's absolutely brilliant. Personally I think it's way funnier than the office. Ricky and a small group of cohorts play extras on Hollywood movies and each episode features a celebrity who is the star of the film and shows their interactions with the actors. The episode with Kate Winslet and the episode with David Bowie are two of my absolute favourites. Well worth a binge watch.
Deadnaming🤣,ok do they want us to forget there previous accomplishments,if that's so Kaitlin is a nobody and shouldn't be famous then, what has SHE done, NOTHING NOTHING
Nice radio voice, so far over the targets, nice! Subscribed! RedDawnRadio, SaltyCracker, Pastor Shadilay, LoyalNine has been keeping informed at a crazy accurate Alex Jones was right ratio with the truth the last 8 years. It's cool to see another that could easily rise to the ranks in the making. Kuddos and congrats my friend
I can tell you haven't wached both. Or you would know they are very different show. UK Office was only 12 episodes and more starkly realistic with induced comedy. Where as the US Office was over 100 episodes and much more broad, more lighthearted and had more time to progress the characters. The UK office just dead ends. So again they are very different. Now with that said, can we really say one is better then the other? I mean since they are different, no. But we can simply say which we enjoyed more. And most find the US Office to be better as Americans loved getting more setups, more story, more character buildup. And rating wise, the US Office has a higher rating the UK Office. Though I'll be honest, I found both Offices to be dumb. The UK one was way to short and felt like it gave up out of no where. And the US one just went on and on and felt dull. Probably doesn't help that I've never worked in a office to get the humor.
@@ThatShyGuyMatt Actually i have watch both. Still prefer the original. They are pretty much the same style. Here is the thing i think what makes people prefer one or the other. It's the style of comedy. An American can go watch a comedian from another country and not find something funny. The same thing the other way around. I have watch countless American comics that I don't find funny at all
I agree with you that everyone should make an INFORMED choice that will effect them. Not, I'm voting for him/her because of race, gender their funny etc., and be respectful when you win or loose
I have the same memories of Bruce Jenner. I also remember Ellen Page Laverne Cox. I think it's perfectly fine to talk about their previous lives because, as Ricky says, that's who you know
Hollywood is full of a bunch of clowns who need to relearn their places as overpaid clowns whose sole purpose is to entertain. Anyone who puts celebrities and sports ball players on a pedestal is getting fed a big load of what they deserve.
I think it's selfish to vote on a party soley based on the fact you (and your household) will benefit from it. I vote on a party cause I think their policiy is the best for our country and our people at that specific time. I've had times where voting on a socialist party would benefit me way more as what I actually voted on, but it's not about me, but our nation and people as a whole.
Here's some selections for you I think you will enjoy. Learn English with Ricky Gervais and meet Karl Pilkington part 1 and 2 and An Idiot Abroad series 1 episode 1 China have fun❤
One thing to point out, when Trump had a comedian open for him and he made off color jokes it's Trumps fault. Rickey making these jokes is on him not the Hollywood elite
Had nothing to do with color.. it was calling a country garbage because it is.. it wasn't in reference to the people. Go see where a lot of americas trash is dumped!
@@HerbalShenron I don't give two fucks about a British actor who doesn't get roles in America. Theirs a reason he barely gets work in Britain. He's shit.
He made Tom Hanks move to Greece 😂
I feel sorry for Greece... cancer is spreading
Tom left way before that.
He is home sweet home. Greece has always been about that life.
Ricky is on StandUp Mount Rushmore aside George Carlin, Bill Burr, Dave Chapelle, Katt Williams and many more. True Living Legend❤❤
you can't leave out Louis CK!
Yepp. + Bill Hicks
Dead Naming = B.S.
Love Ricky
I LOVE Ricky Gervais. His story about his family at his dad’s funeral is hilarious. It helps you understand how Ricky ticks.

Mans is a fucking legend
I sincerely don't think Carell and Gervais don't like each other. It's comedy.

He did a standup comic role in GTA IV. Him and Kat Williams
Watch the entire series called Extras. He creates and stars in the leading role. Hilarious as usual

I love British comedy! US never comes close!

Mr. You should narrate (sp) you have a voice that would work for Books on Tape or whatever it's called nowadays. You have a soothing voice.
Several shows were UK inspired. The Office, Shameless, and Three's Company to name a few.
I got to say your one of my favorite!! You do your own thing, I can get out the echo for a minute... Thanks brotha!!😊
And I really made that comment before you said about the echo chamber part... Lol 😅
I like to watch Mr. LBoyd before sleep. He’s kind of wholesome and relaxing.

Ricky is from a council estate.
I guess it’s the equivalent to the projects in America.
So naturally he doesn’t hold back 😂
ZERO effs given. Love it!

Here’s my thing, if Bruce is no longer someone, than all that money and gold medals need to be returned right?

UK office is the OG and IMO the better version.

@osculim I think Gervais summed up the UKvs US office perfectly when he said, quality over quantity 🤣🤣👍
So true! The UK knows how to gracefully end a story.
everything else aside... i can't believe tyson v paul is happening today.
Merry Morning Mates. Hi Bobo.
Steve Carrell and Ricky are good friends they're playing it up for the bit, both of them have explained that

Ricky did the golden globes 5 years in a row. This was his final year, and he just said "fuck it, I'm sending it."

Gotta love Ricky!!!
1:59 yeah 👀look at his face
It'S just banter, Ricky will always ask Steve, if he can do a certain joke and Steve always say's yes, as they're good friends.
That was the 5th time Ricky hosted The Golden times . And he said it would the last time. Not them.
I think the Steve Carell stuff is just him having fun. I don't think they dislike each other.
You cannot leave your past behind, especially when they still show reruns of CHIPS, and Bruce Jenner played a motorcycle cop!
Preach!!!!❤
He is in a movie called Ghost Town from 2008 thats pretty funny
Extras is his best work ever i think ❤, it is absolutely smart and hilarious ❤
The UK Office is way better than the American version.
Love him!

Ronan Farrow is also the son of Woody Allen.......
Go Ricky!
He was invited back at least 4 times
He did this for 5 years in a row before they had there fill
I wish they didn't bastardize the word woke.
Last one was such a reach. Such obvious banter between the two.
5 times? It was just mainly the oscar thing which is most likely scripted.
steve and ricky are good friends. no doubt in my mind about that.
