    Fun Fact: Not busy on the weekend, buy CSC RX1E and door dash with it as it will pay itself off pretty fast. Took me a year to pay it off at 150$ per weekend for a few hours of my time.

    I have the city slicker and ended up replacing everything on it. Cheap battery cells, buggy controller and weak motor don’t make me trust this, especially at this price. I’d rather spend more and get something more reputable

    Been in India for the past 3 years and I know that there's a bike called the Ultraviolette F77.
    About the same performance as a Duke 390 and a true range of about 150 miles.
    Priced at around $6950(direct conversion) in India, word is that it's coming States-side next year.

    In this price range the klr650 is the bike to compare this bike too. I think for me this is close enough that I could make it work but not as my only motorcycle. Love to have one as this is the first electric motorcycle that even came close to meeting my expectations. I hope they sell a lot of them. Thanks for the review.

    • @mannyechaluce3814
      @mannyechaluce3814 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      been there, done that, 80 MPH is only sustainable for a few minutes, mostly 1 min, otherwise the battery will overheat. best 65 sustainable, even with at sustained 65 mph, your mileage will suffer. Ideally only good for 35 MPH and you might, just might make 50 miles to your destination.

    80mph? Wheee! It can keep up w/ traffic on SoCal freeways... You won't have any extra speed to pull off a pass, but hey, at least limited range makes it unsuited for a decent commute unless you've got a place to recharge at work.
    Ebike makers *have* to learn to get away from the "no gearbox, direct drive" electric propulsion and pair up a smaller motor [less current draw] to a ruggedized CVT like on a scooter so that the high rpm rides on the freeway [the faster an electric motor spins, the more power it uses] don't drain the battery so fast.

    I got a pristine 2008 Vstrom 650 with 12k miles for $3,600 OTD.
    Can tour anywhere @ 55 mpg / 250 miles / tank.
    Uber reliable engine never breaks just change syn oil & filters.
    Oh yeah it goes 110 mph.
    0% interest in EV bikes.
    PS thanks for being honestly realistic about it's #s & limitations.
    For city dwellers with short commutes & near a charger day & night I see it could work well.

      I don't want to point out the obvious, but a 15 year old used motorcycle doesn't quite make a great comparison. Ultimately though, they are different bikes for different uses. This obviously isn't a touring bike. Plus, I hate having to do maintenance on gas bikes, and e-motos solve that. Yes, they are more expensive, but you get a nicer experience by spending more. To each, his own.

    I'm considering buying it as my first bike, but still just a little hesitant at the current price. The coupon discount is very tempting though 👀 Sure, it's cheaper than almost every other e-motorcycle out there, but if it had slightly better range at higher speeds and was compatible with a level 2 charger then I'd be sold immediately. If I do end up getting the RX1E, I would also get a 250-500cc gas bike as a backup if I forget to charge it.

    • @paulnewman2000
      @paulnewman2000 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No it doesn't. It is a 6 hour charge time, which completely defeats the touring type styling. There is a converter that allows you to plug in to Type 2 chargers, and I have heard claims that it doubles the charging speed, but no-one is telling what the actual charge rate of the converter is, and in any case, even 3 hours charge time is too slow for touring and day trips. The battery on this bike is over 6kWh capacity, so ideally it needs a 6.6. kW type 2 charging system to make it anywhere near viable for short to medium distance touring. I wouldn't want to spend more than an hour per recharge while on the road. Slow charging is fine overnight or during business hours, but that then limits this bike to use as a daily commuter.

    • @Electrek

      The biggest consideration is just on how far you plan to go. If it's not terribly far, then it could be good. If its more than 50-60 miles, I'd be a bit stressed myself. But if its on trails, then you'll be going slower and using less battery. Just get some appropriate tires.

      Anyone with any kind of job at all would know you’re near $1000 on the battery alone, even in china
      This is the most delusional youtube comment I’ve seen in a while, which is saying something

    Excellent. Now bring it over to Europe.

      It might already be available in Europe. This bike is made by Zongshen Motors in China and CSC is the American importer/distributor. They may already have a European importer/distributor, it's worth looking into.

    $7400 !!! with these specs ??? you kidding me ??? liquid cooled motor, belt drive… judging by origin of the components, after 1000 miles this bike will become a service and repair money pit, value wise it’s not worth even half of it. Please review “EAhora M1P Pro” half the price even with 2 (TWO) batteries in the battery compartment, up to 53 mph and 80 miles AGGRESSIVE riding, almost 0 service requirements, love to hear your opinion about “Eahora”.
