Some are super smooth
Once per 20 years there is one Wow landing that you don't even feel the deceleration by the tires spinning up. Maybe a matter of luck but it is still Wow !

It’s so rear, it’s normally just retard and put into a glide and pitch up the nose for a gentle touchdown, but this landing was so smooth and the descend rate and power was so in controlled
Verbal DK hahah, I mean it’s very hard for pilots to maintain the glide below 5ft without the landing gear touchdown since its thrust setting and flaps are purposed for touchdown, unless the pilot throttle up and level off at 4ft and maintain the lift?

Had this happen on a domestic flight, only once, whole plane lit up in applause. It feels phenomenal. You can just feel yourself syncing up with the world around you with no transition, as if you had never started moving in the first place. It's a very comforting feeling.

@@forza223bowe5 of course, they go through 2 years of training/studying then about 3-4 months training on the company's airplanes before flying passengers...
But good landings is not enough to be good pilot and good captain. You may have fantastic piloting skils, but if you make wrong designs in crisis situations this is nothing. And many other less importent things.

I was once on a flight where at the landing there was no sound, no bump, all I felt was a very gradual rumbling from the tires. In other words, a perfect landing. I've only experienced this once, and I'm 61. This looked like one of those landing.

I'm a retired 747 pilot👨🏾✈️ and i just love to see a pilot or F.O. do a manual landing and using VFR...I never used the auto land feature I personally prefer doing a manual landing just to keep my skills sharp👍🏾...by the way F.O. that was an excellent landing 👍🏾👍🏾😊

@@ryzovynakyp7525 vfr landing, is referring to a non FD/ILS landing. He is using visual flight rules for the landing.
@@idontknowanygoodnames1498 It was an ILS approach, you can see it in the MFDs, what I found interesting is how the G/S indicator went through the roof before they were on the runway, so I guess that's when he said "fuck it, I'll land it wherever I want".
I'm most impressed by his hand movements. The plane seems pretty stable, but his hand shows how much he has to adjust manually. Well done.
On an Airbus like this it's actually a bad habit, you can see the tiny pilot induced oscillations caused by over correcting. It was a good landing, but compare it to a lot of others and you'll notice the difference in the inputs
This pilot did an amazing job, the airlines love to see this and this plane will last a lot longer with landings like this, this guy is a pure natural. Great job on this landing..

Is it just me or didn’t anyone notice how young and hot this FO was? His uniform fit him like a glove. I flew back in the 90’s as cabin crew and most pilots were fat and old. Love seeing younger and younger pilots now a days.

People often confuse a good landing with a smooth landing. In professional terms, being smooth is not the number one criteria of a good landing. Precision of the touchdown zone is. This guy touched down around 450 m, which is very good. But his approach was shallow ( much less than 3 degrees). You can see that visually (the apparent shape of the runway). It is confirmed by the radio altimeter calling 30 feet when he crosses the threshhold. (It should be 50 feet) If he had done that on a Boeing 777, he would have barely touched down on the runway limits (due to the length of the aircraft) Fly safely 😊
