    Okay, I know I'm almost 2 months late but Happy New Year. What kind of aircraft were you on? Looking at the starboard wings it looks like a Boeing aircraft, no winglets tells me American Airlines was about to retire the aircraft. I'm guessing it was a 757, 767, or an older 777.

    Snow that low on the mountains is very rare in L.A. Snow melts quickly.

    • @iwalkisee88
      @iwalkisee88  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, the snow only appeared on the top of the mountains while the city is quite warm.

    • @saybanana
      @saybanana 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not rare at all. Happens every year. I can see the San Gabriel mountains from Pasadena area., but not the taller ones behind that. Those nearer are 3000ft 4000ft, mt badly is over 10,000ft. After a storm, you see snow at the near mountains at 3000ft or 2500. You have to some distance like Downtown or more to see all the mountains like in the video. Rarer is below 2000ft. Snow in Santa Clarita, san Fernando Valley hilly communities. I think Palmdale is around that elevation. They get snow every few years. But yes warmer ground level melts that in a day or more.

      @@saybanana In 2008 or so I saw flurries in Sherman Oaks in the San Fernando Valley. It was crazy. Only once in my life had it ever snowed enough in the SFV to have accumulation, It was in 1990 I think, and had snowed in the Sepulveda/North Hills area. Unfortunately I wasn't in school that day so I missed it.
