Thank you brother. The door sensor break away distance is what i wanted to know. I got weird doors in my house, so I can't fit them flush. Up to 5cm great!
I got one and it is really easy to set up. The is one thing that I would recommend, and that is that the entry sensors on doors should be screwed in. The constant opening and closing may loosen the adhesive. In fact, I had one come off the first day when a wind gust slammed the door.
I just set mine up and it really is that simple. Love the system. Great video and thanks for posting. One pro tip...the exterior camera can be mounted upside down and you just flip the view in the app. Again, simple!
This is an excellent presentation on the system, really. I can't believe the excellence of this product and the clarity of the written and online information and customer service. Keep going.
Hello, can I just as a couple of questions. Are we able to test system without triggering outside monitoring and can you move sensors once se5 up, to another area and re name after initial set up. Thank you
if you have a keypad you dont need the basestation on display you can hide it reducing the chance of someone smashing it its also better not to place warning stickers for that reason. Has things changed can i get phone notifications for free now for the system or do you still need a monitoring plan?
It's a nice system but like all wireless security systems they can be neutralized, 433Mhz for this system which is why I'll probably go with a hard wired system.
You said the outdoor camera attaches with a magnet. Does that mean you can't change the angle the camera is looking once it's mounted? Also, does the camera slowly shift downward because of the weight of the camera?
I've looked around online for the specs on this system, particularly the maximum range, in feet, from the base station to the sensors. Most importantly entry and motion sensors. Specs should be easy to locate and compare between different brands. Someone in an apartment may not need very much, two story homes may not require much either. But a ranch style home that has indoor distances from end to end of 80 to 120 feet maximum range becomes very important. Does anyone know what the range is for these two sensors? A link online to where specifications like this are shown?
I'm sorry to have to say that these days are going to be a lot of different types of things that are going through the windows in your own house. I am on the front porch and I have been busy with the ones that are going through the windows in my own house. The Awakening of Souls is happening now everywhere and the other side of the world is going through the same thing as you are.
BEWARE - I have a relatively extensive system with 6 external and 2 internal cameras, all the motion detectors, entry sensors, CO/fire monitors, etc. As such, with thousands invested - it is not easy to change systems at this point, but I may be forced to. Unreliable, weak software that conflicts easily, and poor customer service that always blames any problem on your Wi-Fi connection - despite having a strong 6 unit nested Google system. I have had 4 different alarm systems on homes in the past, and if I had it to do over, I would not choose SimpliSafe again. Just too many problems, the unreliability of the system is frustrating and time consuming.
Any update? Are u still using simplisafe or have you changed systems? I just got mine in the mail today, just a small setup, 2 outdoor cameras and some door sensors
@@andrewmcmillions3138 - I continue to struggle with the simplisafe system as I await additional capability from alternate systems from Roku et al. It is a pretty significant expense to dump 41 devices (includes CO/fire detectors, motion detectors, door sensors, cameras, panic buttions, etc.). As such, I am looking at alternatives including ADT, I want to make sure I don't replace one problem with another.
Do NOT get SimpliSafe system. I regret buying my set. This company locks super basic features such as letting the base speaker annoucing which entry sensor is being opened behind the pay wall. The only reason they do that is to try to force you to buy their subscription. I am telling all my friends to avoid this product.
Well just as they say with anything else. You gotta pay to play. In this case and especially when it comes to your safety for you and yours. Money isnt no option imo. Id pay for a subscription to keep me and my family safe. If you want to buy a product and get things free. Go to RING. You pay way more in the up front cost given free user system but you still have to pay for sub to have that RING system be monitored. So technically you have to pay to play anyways.
OMG I'm 70 years old with little to no tech experience and even I was able to set it up. Fantastic video and presented expertly
Thanks David. I’m so glad it helped 😀
I own this system and I love it! Had it now for 3 years. Not one issue.

Thank you so much! My box has been sitting on the table since Friday. Now I feel confident about setting it up and also know about some of the add one
Brilliant! You did explain very well, thanks!! Unfortunately I have read, and people say is much better if paywall and monitoring services???
Great video just need to add the outdoor bell box which they also sell
Yeh it’s worth getting one in my opinion
Appreciate the thorough video divided into easy parts for reference. Thanks
For the outdoor camera, I'd get the solar panel so you don't need to mess with battery changes.
This is the only TH-cam channel I've Pressed the bell icon💓
Great video. Well paced and organized. Thorough without being pedantic. Thanks! 💪
Fantastic video. Thank you
No problem 😁
Can this be insalled and have another phone remote to have access to it like another family member?
Excellent tutorial. Thanks so much.
Can a person activate the outdoor camera and view in on a smartphone (android) remotely?
Yes you can!
@@WhatGear Thanks.
Well done (The best online instruction)
Wow! What a wonderful video and presentation. Good Job. I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this. Kudos :)
Thank you so much for this video. Very informative and it gave me piece of mind as to where to place each device. Cheers
Is there monthly subscription to manage the devices on the app. Seen on another TH-cam channel you have to pay.
I love simplisafe. I just wish they had better Google or ifttt integration.
Thank you great video I got this!
It’s a solid product! Still my favourite alarm system. It’s just so easy to use
Did you get the practice mode, too? It's kind of confusing? Not to press away when I leave?
Really nice, informative video! Thank you!
I like the SS do water sensors and fobs but next do a intercom insert that allows me to voice control my building intercom
Thank you a lot sir 👍
I’m going to set it up - will reply back

Great video!!! I’m going to order my equipment.

How Do I get a camera just to show a live image on my phone without a service plan?
Hi
How do you connect the big square panel going outside?
What if pets tend to knock things off tables?
Thanks!
Wow! Thank you so much Martin! 🙏
Thx
Your welcome 🤗
Can i put the motion sensor outside?
Loved you in Ted Lasso
how do you set the pin number when you done typing the pin
Thank you 🙏🏾
This was so clear and easy to follow. Thank you!!!
This all seem so idiot proof😂
How long does the video battery last
Did anyone use longer screws for outdoor camera
I used some of my own screws in the back end.
You didn't go over the video doorbell.
It wasn’t available at the time
@@WhatGear Gotcha, have you used it since? What are your thoughts on it?
simply... nice 👌
thanks!
*Excellent!*

I have sensors in two outbuildings that have about 60 feet between them and the base station along with the glass windows.
The European mind can't comprehend this 😂 (jokes, folks)
Nice video👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Could somebody just unplug the base station to stop the alarm ?
No. There's a backup battery.
Yeah you own it, but it will all be obsolete in two years or next update...(ask me how I know)
No light on outside camera

Hit that pipe again.
Don't Blink on the sales
Basestation: welcome to simplify
PlayStation: look here who copied me SMH.
I've had nothing but trouble with this system. I have spent probably 24 hours total on the phone with them. SHIT!
