"Milk Tea Alliance": How Thai protesters have learned from Hong Kongers | DW News

  • Democracy protesters have assembled daily in Bangkok for a week, demanding the prime minister's resignation, the redrafting of the constitution, and a reform of Thailand's monarchy. Demonstrators have pledged to continue gathering. They want the prime minister to step down - in the next three days - they say. The protests have been steadily gaining momentum since mid-July, echoing last summer's protests in Hong Kong. And that parallel has not been lost on activists from both places. DW's Hang-Shuen Lee has more.

Snowden is not "badmouthing" the US he was a government staff and he was wanted by the US not for saying bad things about US, he was wated because he leaked confidential information to the media.
It's not about whether US or UK granting them citizenship, even a UK,US or any citizen of any country in the world who criticizes the Chinese or Hong Kong government in anywhere in the universe will risk being arrested if they visit China or any country who have signed extradition treaty with China.

So happy to witness people from various parts of the world protesting injustice and that media allows us to inspire others. Just think, before electronic media, we scarcely knew what was happening a round the world. Today, almost nothing can be hidden or suppressed.

Yes, all of these protests also have the same backing of the National Endowment for Democracy too. The leaders were all trained at the same time by the CIA in Europe. I don’t know about Thailand but it is proven that Joshua Wong has a daily video conference with the CIA and also some US Senators as reported by the #BBC

Democracies are worst regimes than other types. India is way more oppressive country wherein military has been employed to attack civilians extremely frequently. Tiananmen square tragedy happened 5 years after June 1984 massacre of Sikhs by Indian military in Punjab. Entire Kashmir is under military clampdown for over an year now. Therefore freedom and democracy dont always go together.
