First !😅, as always it’s a delight to watch you describe and share the experience. I’m also partial to Mediterranean cuisine , especially Greek. Thanks. ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, that happens a lot with buffets and it's why we usually spend little to no time showing the buffet line itself. Arrange the individual items on the plate and wow, the food really comes alive!!😋😋 Thanks for watching, Sandy, 😁😁
Another great video. In regards to food choices, this one is by far my favorite of all places I had seen you visit. I grew up in Berlin Germany in the 70s/80s. We had a large number of immigrants come from Turkey, Italy, Greece, and Yugoslavia. The Mediterranean food is so delicious. I could almost taste some of the dishes you showed. 😊 I love shrimp, and just from the look, I would have picked that as my number one as well. The kebab also looked good. And to top it all off, the price is just unbelievable. Each plate could easily cost $20. It's the middle of the night, and I'm now hungry. 😅
Thank you and thanks for the interesting comment discussing your past experiences in Germany and with Mediterranean food! And now, I'm all hungry also, lol. I know I'll be back to Chickpeas very soon, 😋😋😁😁
I hadn't thought of this until I reread your comment just now...about 25 years ago I was invited to a wedding in Southern Bavaria...a little hamlet called Steingaden (where you'll find the Weis church and Neuschwanstein and where everyone looks like a Hummel figurine character)...and all the locals were upset about the influx of Turks into their town. But, despite their protests all the Kebob carts the Turks had set up had long lines of Bavarians at all hours of the day and night, lol. Anyway, Mediterranean food is delicious, 😋😋😁😁
@LetsEatVegas I think Germans, at least in the past, where more traditional in food and culture. The, this is how we have always done it, mentality was big. Especially in my mom's generation. I have lived in the US for so long now that my know how comes mostly from TH-cam. The food scene has changed greatly. Once the German Imbiß stand was the only fast food. In Berlin Currywurst was a big thing. The Döner now is more popular in most of Germany. The style has changed. Originally it was only sold in lamb, or a lamb beef mix. Maybe beef only. Now chicken Döner is big. Never even saw a Turkish chicken dish when I lived there. I have recently started to watch a few videos, where small Imbiß stands/stores are trying to hold on to the last bit of German food culture. Of course having grown up there I can understand. Food is powerful, I see a dish from my childhood and it brings me right back to Germany. I seem to crave it more now as I have gotten older, and just wished I had made it more often for my kids.
Yes, amazing how food brings you right back home. As for currywurst (along with many other German foods), we used to make that in our restaurant and it was VERY popular. Thanks for the comments!
Thank you for this wonderful video! I pass this restaurant all the time and never considered going there. After your detailed video of the varieties of food, I will be going this weekend! Got to try the lamb shank!
We went in a month ago expecting it to be for rats only at the price… and found THE BEST BUFFET VALUE in our town, as you mentioned. Everything is sumptuous and people should come here immediately :)
Been there a few times. Always go there early or in the afternoon. IF you go late evening or at night time then some of the items are a little cold. Butter chicken is BOMB!!!!
Hi. Great video. I was wondering if you could share the day of the week and time you went. Often places may change up their selection on different days and I would like to try everything you had. Thank you
Thank you! I've been to Chickpeas a number of times on different days and I've not seen any differences in the dishes available so I think you are good to go whenever you like! 😋😋😁😁
Except for the same flavor salads, everything looked so delicious. Wow factor is that 3 fantastic cuisines are in one place. Thanks for sharing the experience. I wonder if there are good Polish restaurants in Vegas
Thank you! As for the 17:55 issue...I'm curious...1) What in that section of the video leads you to believe it isn't creme anglaise 2) What do you think it is?
@@LetsEatVegas the cream inside the choux looks like whipped cream although it's traditional with a firm custard. Creme anglaise is a custard sauce and wouldn't stay inside the pastry like that
Well, the inside of the choux was definitely not whipped cream. When asked, the pastry chef there said it was creme anglaise, but it was thick for a creme anglaise and more the consistency of a custard, however, we usually report what the restaurant themselves say about their food. Lots of times places say something on the menu (such as an item being described as toasted when it's actually fried), but we still report what the menu says and let you, the viewer, take it up with the restaurant. Anyway, good comment...glad you are paying close attention, 😁!
When we went for the review they had two desserts: Baklava and Cream Puffs. You could have as many as you like of each. But, we've been there in the past when they had certain dessert items which were limited in number/guest. Thanks for the comment!!
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Good question! We're trying to show all the different options and foods they have so we sometimes have to do things as a reviewer that one would not do as a guest. Thanks for watching!
This was the worst food we have ever eaten. Stale. Unseasoned. Not $20. We paid $30 each today Monday Dec 23. Zero flavors. Half the dishes you mentioned in your review were not available. Don't waste your money here. Your description of the hand squeezed lemonade was a joke. Today's was full of onion juice. 😢😢😢😢
Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the experience. I've been to Chickpeas several times prior to our review and it was consistently good. As for the price, I can only guess, as with many places, there is a premium charge during the holidays. As for your assertion that my description of the lemonade was a joke, do you think I can't detect if there is onion in lemonade or that after tasting onion I decided to misrepresent what I tasted? On the whole, there are no guarantees in life. I can only tell you what I experienced and give you my unbiased view and my honest opinion. I don't run the restaurant or have any control of what they serve moment by moment. Did you complain to the management at Chickpeas? I used to own and operate a restaurant. If a customer noted I didn't have items I should have or that the items served were substandard, I would a) be thankful so I could fix the problem b) comp the guest their meal.
Well, let's see, 🤔, comment after comment about how good this place is and an appearance on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. It would seem that YOU are the odd man out.

Thank you! We had a great time making this review. Mediterranean cuisine is special, 😋😋
Yum yum yum!!!! When you showed the actual buffet it looked underwhelming but each plate looked amazing!!!! Excellent job highlighting this gem!!!

Great video enjoy the variety😊
Thanks for watching and commenting! Yes, so many great dishes at Chickpeas, 😋😋
another great review of a hidden gem. love that there's almost always an offer and this one is great. can't wait to try...thank you!!
Glad to be able to help you find another hidden gem AND a great deal to boot!😋😋😁😁💲💲
Between the shrimp and the lamb shank this buffet is a great value at 20$. Ty for another great review.😊
Right! It's an amazing deal, 😋😋 We had a great time with this review!

Thank you, Pat!! 💖💖💖
Great info. I'll definitely try this place. But 17:55 that isn't creme anglaise.

Wow! Thanks for the compliment and for supporting our channel, 😁😁
do they still only allow you one small dessert?
When we went for the review they had two desserts: Baklava and Cream Puffs. You could have as many as you like of each. But, we've been there in the past when they had certain dessert items which were limited in number/guest. Thanks for the comment!!
Are most food spicy

Why do you need to eat 3 salads at a buffet?
