I still don't like hollow block walls. Looks nice already. Looks like you found a good general and a acceptable work team. BTW nice to be on one floor, as you get older climbing may suck.
Love that you actually installed roof vents, the attics here are like an oven that trap and radiate the heat into the house. May I suggest a white roof to reflect the suns heat, Filipinos don’t understand nor want to spend the extra money to properly get rid of the heat in a home believe me a white roof has saved me a fortune in my aircon bill.
Nice progress Kevin. TIP. Be aware with the tiling. If they can they will start tiling its the PH way. They do all diferent thing togehter /Do not let them start tiling before all the elektric is dant after that they must finish all the walls than the windows after that the skimcouting and painting the roof and as last your tiling. If you let them start tiling before other things are done you will get much damage and extra cost on tilles. Let them finish all fistst and than at least the tiling
Hi Kev and Sella. I have just one word.......WOW!!! They are doing a great job and you guys homes is looking very beautiful, even without the finishes. I am really impressed on how smooth they are making your walls. They are doing a wonderful job. I definitely love the way your electrician ran those electric lines, they are so professional done. Have a happy Holiday season and be safe there. Blessings to you and the family.
Why the kitchen window doesn’t have the pop out decoration like the other three windows on the front of the house. Also I bought the same uv unit on Amazon have to get three replacements before ordering a better unit it starts leaking after about 30 days of use. I hope you have better luck with yours.
@@KevinParent248 Pool is almost a must imo, and privacy tinted glass windows to reduce inside heat. Im curious how come you didn't want a 2 floor plan, even though the house is already going to be very big.

Hi Kev, i know in the Philippines they don’t insulate the same way we do in USA/Canada. Are you putting the radiant heat barrier in the roof. That’s all most homes there use and after watching users test of it i see that it does help allot with blocking the roof panel heat from radiating down onto the ceiling panels
Thanks. The gen room is across the car port from the house. The exhaust will be piped out the side of the gen room opposite the house. The doors will also be closed to the car port. The windows will be open and a floor fan run towards the generator. Hoping it won't be too bad with these conditions.
Hi Kevin just a quick question as I am looking to build soon , is it possible to take the water lines up into the ceiling then down in the walls where the water is required. Have a wonderful Christmas and new year .
My foreman asked me which way I wanted them, so yes it is possible. The only issue and reason I didn't do that, was the water will be warm to even hot due the attic being hot. Thanks.
@@KevinParent248 good point about the water getting hot cheers. I am in Davao originally from Brisbane Australia . Great informative channel thank you and all the best for Christmas
Can I ask something for the water?? The 2 blue containers are just to collect the well water and presirised to the filters. Then will go to the fausets ??? Am I close ? Cause I want to do something like that ....
Looking awesome. A couple of comments, make sure they place sand under the water pipe. The rocks will eventually wear a hole in the pipe as the water flowing through the pipe creates a vibration. I would paint all of those orange pipes in the carport grey. Too bad you couldn’t hide them . Thanks for sharing and happy Holidays to you and your family.
I'm wondering why your generator over solar a friend of mine in the Philippines when solar can you install a small generator in case it's not sunny enough or if it's too overcast to charge the battery he just uses the generator to charge the battery takes about an hour just curious
The cost to run a house this size on solar would cost over 1 million php. A good diesel generator costs 350,000 php. The payback for solar isn't worth it. Thanks.
Hey Kevin, I’m also in the process of building our house in the Philippines. Currently, we’re in Northern California. I was wondering what’s the cost of the filtration system and the Generator just wanna a get an Idea I know it’s going to be different depending on the location. Our house is being built in Luzon Pangasinan.
Hello. Agreed on the location may change the price a bit. Here are the answers. Water filtration was 111,000 php 35kva diesel generator 350,000 php Good luck with your build.
What are they doing with the black sand? I ask because I had one building rendered with it, and after 3 months later, the whole thing was crazed and had to be skimmed and painted again 🙄 In other words it's a cheap sand that they love to recommend, but it's not good, in my opinion 😂
The one I used when I was a contractor building houses in New York was crushed quartz or marble dust, mixed with white Portland cement and lime . It will never crack.
Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy Holidays Kevin and Sella 🎁
Continued good luck on the home build. It’s looking great! 👍

That is the most elaborate water system I have seen. We live in Florida and we have nothing to compare with that! Is it also a water softener?
I wanted very clean drinking water. I'm sure this achieves that. Thanks.
Yes it is also a water softener
Nice water setup, who designed it for you? Keep testing it the water if you’re going to drink it.
The name of the company that designed and installed the system is listed in the video. Thanks for the tip. We will.
New subscriber ,ur house is so big ,thou its not yet finish looks amazing !like the design
Thanks. I hope you'll enjoy watching the build as it progresses.
Wow I just saw the filtration.... Very good I'm guessing...but how much the water system costs? And every when you need to change the filters??
The filtration system cost was 111,000php. It has a backwash system on it. I'm not sure yet how often any of the filters need to be replaced. Thanks.
Are you doing solar power? A video on that would be great! 😊
No, we will not be doing solar. The cost pay back isn't worth it to me.
I am looking to build in Cebu and was curious what you are paying for a day rate just to get an idea. Thanks!
Skilled is 600php per day and laborers get 450php per day. Thanks.
That back yard would be a GREAT place for a pool. Lol 😅
Agreed. Maybe a future project? The landscaping will be done with that in mind. Thanks.

Are you planning to make an big attic wearhouse???
No. Plenty of room on the main floor. Thanks.
I bet. I was debating white for the roof but decided against it due to it getting dirty easy.
Are you filtering all the water in the house for drinking? Or letting the shower, laundry etc water stay un filtered?
All the water in the house is filtered, including the outside house bibs. Thanks.

No I am not. I've heard some bad things about that. The ventilation should work. Thanks.
What do you use for video editing software?
Capcut software. Thanks
Can you show your installation of solar power batteries and essential thanks
Thanks. Solar wouldn't pay for itself before things would need to be replaced, so no solar.
