    my triangle:
    1. relationships (family, gf, friends)
    2. side creative passions
    3. “financial practicality” (currently my 9-5)

when sarah said "because you guys love james", i felt that hahaha. I love that you guys have a very profound take on things. Your podcast feels like talking with some friends in a most laidback manner but the topics are very deep and profound and relevant to adults in their mid-late 20s

(my triangle) my 3 year old daughter, my side business as a wedding photographer, and my full time corporate job (hopefully the corporate job will out of the picture soon!)

    My triangle is:
    1. Financial / Savings Goals
    2. Health and Wellness (mainly diet and exercise)
    3. Having fun (either spending time with friends or spending money for just myself on entertainment / items that bring me joy.
Sleep has always been a priority for me, so much so that it doesn’t even need a spot on the triangle because it is guaranteed no matter what.

i think my triangle changes super often, but for this moment in time:
    1. career
    2. relationships- making sure everyone around me is happy and healthy
    3. my own happiness

    My Triangle!
    1. University/Career
    2. Finances
    3. Relationships (family + friends)
I'm still really young being in my early twenties so I'm sure this triangle will change year by year !

i love reading everyone’s triangles! but i think as sarah pointed out, as we grow, our priorities tend to change.
i struggle with these priorities as a lot of them represent past versions of myself that are overshadowed by my current goals.
    currently
    1. i work 40-50 hours a week interning and freelancing as a software engineer
    2. I’m pursuing my senior year for my computer science degree
    3. checking in with myself mentally and consciously acting towards a more healthy lifestyle. (mostly going to the gym, eating better, journaling, etc.)
My self care i often forget since i tend to get preoccupied with my day to day duties. sarah points out how the mind and body lets us know of our goals. i have cultivated tools to listen to my body when something is happening which in turn makes it easier to identity what needs work.
all of these things are at the center of my life and goals. but my shadow and other identities cry out for comfort too.
    1. art
in high school and early college i was in several bands/artistic projects. i had built this identity around my local community. i actually have dreams about my friends and peers in the music community becoming famous and successful. in many ways my subconscious is trying to tell me how important it is for me to pursue my art. (not in hopes of being famous, but in hopes of expressing my inner creativity and connecting with others)
    2. love
after my last long term relationship i kinda threw everything into myself. it felt like despite all of the friendships i cultivated, the artistic projects i started, i still felt like i had nothing afterwards. so that kinda started this whole awakening of materializing my life goals. however, i still feel alone… and i know it’s because I’m putting all of my energy into things i know i’ve wanted to do for a while. i don’t give love an opportunity because i don’t want to risk having to compromise my goals at the moment.
eventually i know i will come back to pursue these goals- but for now I’m going to keep grinding :)

At the moment my triangle is
    1, work
    2, relationships
3, prepping for future (moving out soon and trying to build healthy habits going into our new life)
    But soon it will be
    1, relationships
    2, work
3, passions (art, fitness, photography, animation, reading, etc.)
bc I got a higher paying job and I only need to work 30 hours a week so I’ll have much more time!!!! :D

I am very lucky to not have a triangle, my social life is convenient for me, my fun time is convenient too, my hobbies cross with my career so it is just a line
Career Health. sadly these two have been not going hand to hand need to prioritize one over the other at many instances. working on it!

I think that article is also again something that paints just the modern day pushed belief of trying to push back kids more and more and trying to make people think parenthood is awful. I’ll be honest if you think these articles are 100% accurate and that you think this will be how you’ll feel then don’t have kids as you’ll just be going into it and projecting these negative beliefs onto a child that shouldn’t have to deal with that
