Black Keys sure do suck, don't they? In the end, Craft Essences are very helpful ,even if you think they come at bad times. This video will go over the most helpful CE's at this point in the game's life cycle.
This is based off of US so far as JP has quite a few options in comparison.
What is most helpful? CE's that are placed on Support Servants. CE's that are good in most situations unilaterally. Craft Essences for certain situations will be gone over another time.

All good CEs. I think in regards to the guts, I would have mentioned not to despair if you didn't get nightless rose as much better guts CEs will eventually come down. And also mention Herc's INSANE 3x guts bond 10 CE.
I think it'd be worth actually defending keys in a sense too as your secret #5. Keys aren't fun to get, but card boosting CEs are actually really good, especially on servants with decent NP generation already. The key is (and why it's worth making one of your generic 5 decent CEs), boosting a card boosts all the attributes which means not just damage, but also NP and star generation. ON TOP OF THAT it also boosts NP damage if it's the appropriate type (I think it does work on crit and NP too, but only the actual on hit generated stuff, not any of the NP specific features like Medeas NP gain)
Buster and Quick up are kind of niche, but Arts Up is probably the most useful out of the 3 as boosting your already decent NP generation makes it practically spammable, and if you have an arts NP, it makes that hit harder, and in a lot of cases those characters also have skills that give them increased generation or instant meter, so arts up plays really nicely with those too.
Which reminds me I saw a cool combo with summer moedred and two tamamo casters who spammed a bunch of arts up buffs. Apparently summer moedred's surfboard NP is particularly good at generating NP as it hits a lot and is an arts np so the hits actually generate decent NP on their own accord, so with all those arts up, her NP generated a full bar of NP, meaning she could just use her NP every turn (until the buffs wore off anyways).

Cu with Volumen. Never die, stack evade under the shield at max level. You don’t have to worry about taking damage for at least 2 turns

Kscope over black grail. grail is a little situational, especially in late game challenge quests where sometimes taking that 500 per turn on top of stacked debuffs will kill you before you can charge the guage. Kscope is good on pretty much every servant through every phase of the game.

Right now, it honestly doesn't feel like much strategy is needed in NA (I say with a decent amount of 4*s and 5*s, I apologize to those that are playing/dealing with mostly 3* at best). Just get your NP filled up, 'Pop it, don't drop it', and then blast everything at once in the end. Is it fair to assume that CEs will become considerably more relevant when team comp and strategy become more important (which people have told me is at Camelot)?

Yo I'd suggest you do a list of useful craft essences for team types, like buster, quick and arts, that aren't necessarily the 25% increase ones. For example Prisma cosmos for buster teams that have low NP generation or Be elegant for quick teams that lack a good crit engine and things like that. Flat increase of performance is really good but also really boring, so adding these CEs for variety can be really fun.
+seth oricalco that's the plan :) to be honest we are working with very little in US but we do have some stuff to get by.
Craft essence can be used incorrectly and as more vids come out, well address what works best with certain servant combinations:)

Hmm, I'd also say Prisma Cosmos on servants with problems in NP generation, like Scathach...but it's not easy to get

I didn't have a copy of Kaleidoscope but I have two LB Imaginary Element and one LB Black Grail.
One of my favorite CE is Necromancy have one MLB and one LB.
Limit/zero over is the fifth one.

DreadfulBoredom yes. Right now it's not as bad but eventually there'll be some nasty debuffs
Musaki Cool. Thanks for the info, but are there craft essences that have debuff as a secondary or effect alongside other effects. EX: Apply guts (500) + 15% ATK increase + 5% increase. Do craft essences of that caliber even exist or is it primarily one effect and that's it?
DreadfulBoredom down the line yes. A lot of future events ce and some 3 star craft essence have minor bumps to debuffs.

Definitely know you can go way higher. I actually had another version that was 126K but that was with buffs. That hit was without any buffs to him just his NP and black grail bonus and i rather show the floor of Black Grail to leave the ceiling to your imagination.
Still I'm curious how high of a hit you pulled off in NA =D

Nope. The thing is you can do something like that with only using bronze servants. But you need to max their skills atleast . In JP version you have mystic codes other than the two you get here on NA, and one of them can shuffle your unit from frontline to backrow. Basicaly the method is to buff the servant (caligula is the one i used) and shuffle him backrow. ensure your frontline caster's survive ( having 2 andersens is a key choice here), but make sure that when your servant with taunt dies (leonidas or georgios), your mystic code skill resets. Repeat the process with buffing the servant and shuffling him to the backrow until he is the only one that's left. Shuffling the servant backrow means that you don't lose the buffs you gave to him.
just a warning. Their are a bitch to lv up. one level of that is equal to atleast 10 lv of the default mystic code. But they are also fun to use if you know your strategy well

Increases Bond level by 2% when you have one copy. When you combine 5 copies to MAx Limit Break the CE, it gives 10% bond. It's helpful when wanting to farm bond levels for servants

YamiSuzume that was raw without any buffs. That's pretty high considering. Plus nowadays you can boost that way higher
I noticed, that it wasnt really near max level and max ascension, but thats why I wouldn't use that as an Example for "heavy damage". I mean... (and yes, i know its pre-MHX) MHX with her Third Skill can do like 110k to a Saber..
