    Hey Guys!
    Sorry about the extra long video but i decided a while ago when I started this box and my tweeter pods that i would make one longer video for each showing the whole process start to finish, rather than making a whole bunch of videos for each day i worked on it, where each one could have been as basic as me drilling holes in the box and thats it.
    Thanks for watching!

      Car Audio.etc Cheers for the upload, just as the average Christchurch weather rolls in. T nuts are awesome, nothing worse than the sub rattling loose in a 4th order.

    Thanks James, I was having a bad day until I saw your video and I really liked everything you do your a top notch installer and wish we were closer because I would definitely bring my car to you to get all my stereo installed. You attention to detail is Freakin Awesome and can't wait to see what you have coming to us. I really was in tears laughing not at you but with you when your in the car wash that you were just giving praise to and not once but twice you had the same problem with it stop working now if you weren't recording a video it would have worked. But as alway really enjoy all your videos and everything you do as an installer. Thanks for all you do and making my day a little brighter

    Finally its here! Can't wait to watch. To finish my system, i was looking at the T1S1-10 but decided to wait for your install first and see your reaction. Haha

    Nice job James!
    Finally someone else is using a Neutrik Speakon Connector. I've been using this for years and always was happy with it.
    Can't beat that. After all it's just hard to get a case without a preinstalled oversized speaker terminal. So i prefer to build my own one where I just have to drill a small hole. I did however use the socket in the box and the connector on the amplifier end.
    By the way: They did pronounce Neutrik right, it's a German Company and "eu" is pronounced "oi" in german.

    Nice work I had a small Sony box with a 600 watt pioneer sub looks the same size, used to shake my hair and lobbies of hotels lol 👌👍

    Went to one of your older vids to post comment.
    Very impressed with the latest install of the 3 way Focal/Pioneer install in the Subbie. You method and work ethic is awesome.
    Your earlier vids building your sub enclosure had me shaking my head tho..... gosh. I'm an old skool builder (4x Rockford Power 15's off 2x 250m mono power amps back when dinosaurs ruled), but am Cedia accredited for THX builds and have done a few club systems.
    Filling your box with 'dacron' doesn't improve sound. It should be glued to the interior surfaces to cancel out standing waves. Filling the box does slow down the sound waves but also removes air volume and punch from your woofer. Use sparingly....
    Spray some ados to the interior of box and trim the 'dacron' like you would carpet to the exterior. Your db will increase as well as your range.
    Keep it up bro-love the vids

    New subscriber to your channel - love your videos. Excellent stuff. Delving back into some audio upgrades myself after many years of being away from doing it. Been checking out your videos for inspiration

    Just wanted to make another comment about how it sounds.
    I've had it running in for almost a week now and F#*K ME it sounds SO AWESOME now.
    At first in this video URL the was definitely lacking uuhmph, but I just came back from doing the groceries and literally sat in the car for an extra 20 minutes checking out different songs.
    The amp+woofer+box combo/setup is performing wonderfully.
    I will try to make another demo video soon showing it's ability to BUMP and make smiles!

      Car Audio.etc Sealed is the way to go for SQ. I like the fact you went the extra effort to line your enclosure with fiberglass, I use estapol polyurethane myself, it gives it the hardwood floor hardness. Can't wait for a update.

      Ok, I'm sold on the T1S1 subs haha. Do you think the 10's will leave me feeling like its lacking?

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ken Brian Malcon it really depends on what type of music you listen to.
      I might make a video explaining the different uses for different size subwoofers. Thanks for the inspiration lol
      What genre of music do you mostly listen to

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lance Johnson yea man nice to hear from someone not yelling out "put a port in! It will sound 'better'."
      Ported for SPL, Sealed for SQ
      Simple as that!

    • @AlwaysBriaN4
      @AlwaysBriaN4 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Listen to a wide variety really. Mostly rock, hip/hop and edm. Different types of Bass I know haha. But I'm after bass that doesn't overpower the music. After reading lots of stuff online, I was thinking 10" T1S1 in a sealed box cause I'm after SQ as well and I don't want to have the feeling that the bass is slacking behind (for rock songs). I can live with Bass not super deep for hip/hop and edm.
      But you're 12" in a sealed sounds great and made me second guess my choice of size lol.

    Damn James, that was a long one! Good to see the bass finally in.
    Need to get my sub done and we should have a meet up. Im sure there are a few subscribers in the area that would be keen.

    looks nice i got the single 12 inch p2 with the p400x2 amp witch is at a repair shop since it died on me stil dont know why but i love the extra punch the sub brings into the car

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ljmike1204 what impedance is your subwoofer (ohms)?

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I.e is it single 4, single 2, dual 4 or dual 2?
      And we're you bridging the two channels on the amp?

    • @ljmike1204
      @ljmike1204 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      its a single 12" runnnig at 4 ohm 400W and yes i bridged the amp it runned fine for 2 weeks no clipping what so ever both on in and output no red light i even have the punch remote in the front near the radio so i could keep an eye on it

    • @caraudioetc
      @caraudioetc  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ljmike1204 ok
      I wondered if maybe you somehow had a setup that was bridged at less than 4 ohms (I.e dual 4 or dual 2 in parallel or single 2) because that low impedance bridged across the channels would definitely cause the amp to not last very long...
      But it sounds like you got it set up right.
      Gotta love that c.l.e.a.n gain setting tech aye

    • @ljmike1204
      @ljmike1204 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes in deed i even have a 2 farad cap to give the amp clean 12V and 10mm power feed with a fuse but it did not trip the amp did compleetly fail not a pop bang or a cloud of smoke it did not even turn on but yea i like the clean set up my pioneer head unit dose not even clip at full power it sounds great i even got rockford fosgate door speakers that are a bit to small but they wure the only 2 way for a nice price but im thinking of upgrading to Rockford Fosgate T1675

    bro,, i just wanna ask,
    1 DVC 4ohm speaker with 800 watt RMS,
    with paralell will be 2 ohm, how about the RMS,? 2x800=1600 or still 800 ?

    I'm confused as to why you didn't just make a box instead of resurrecting a prefab. You could make a brand new box for cheaper than the resin and it wouldn't even need all those life hacks to be strong lol. Plus it would take two hours instead of days... Idk tho, to each their own.

    • @soloflyght1
      @soloflyght1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was thinking the same thing. I was so confused by this video and he did wayyyy to much work on this when he could have just made a box from scratch, smh
