  • Building a SIMPLE and BEAUTIFUL Planted Guppy Aquarium. Anyone can build a guppy tank like this. I've used gravel as substrate and a piece of driftwood and a bunch of easy to care for and grow plants.

Beautiful. For all the joy that comes with keeping more exotic fishes and aquarium setups, there is a different kind of happiness that comes from a simple planted guppy tank.

looks great - hold off on the liquid ferts!!!!! you have quite enough under the gravel to last 3-6 months. those plants grow super fast and don't require nuts - except the anubius it grows super slow

As to the guppies: I put some of the fancy wild form ones into my tank so years ago and now they're much closer to wild guppies. You really have to stay on top of the selection process if you want to keep those. I've just started with that process now (not sure if it will be successful), but it's a thing to keep in mind when picking the strain.

I like your channel because you do a variety of things, i.e. visiting aquarium stores, other aquarists, along with setting up your tanks, etc. Otherwise, some channel's content is the same run down each week. It's hard not to be this way I think as for instance, when setting up a tank the steps are repetitious after a few. You also do updates...you keep your tanks and enjoy their development. You're a natural at presentation too!

Hey! Guppy breeder here, Ryo, does the fish room has insulation? If it has insulation any guppy strain will do fine, but still stay away from the albino one's. If it doesn't you could probably keep some PRMBE (Platinum Red Mosaic Big Ears) and some PRTBE (Platinum Red Tail Big ears) those strains are hardier than others.
