Ah a gubby tank, love them, my dad loved these himself, he passed away yesterday morning so this is so relieving to watch, bring memories back and makes me happy 😊

I took a long break from fish keeping mainly because of my level of experience and I was quite young and had loads of school work. But now I’m 21 and finished school quite a few years ago your videos are really helping me make great decisions on what style of tank and setup I really want. I’m definitely going full in with a heavy planted tank and lots of small/ medium tropical fish, while taking all your advice throughout your videos my knowledge for fish keeping has skyrocketed.

I’ve been watching him for 2 years now and honestly I’m enjoying takin my time setting up my tanks because I wanna do it the MD way, the right way 😂 I’ve literally got a shelf full of filters, media, hard scape aqua soil and substrate, last bit I need is the plants, having a hard time trusting ppl online sellin plants and the pet shops here are big chain=trash lol but I wanted to do this quickly but I’m enjoying getting all the pieces set up first. He makes it make so much sense! Big ups to him!

@@QweenKaii there are a lot of decent online plant outlets, I was sceptical about ordering plants online but I've ordered a lot now from various vendors and they've all turned up perfectly fine

I loved how you could see what was happening in the reflection from the back of the tank, it looked EPIC! Guppies are so pure and wholesome, I love that you kept the tank classy!

You guys should do an episode in Matt's shop when you actually 'purchase' everything. Buy a tank & everything you need to scape it start to finish. Then, actually 'check out' at the cash register to give a general idea of what a fully aquascaped tank costs if you were to buy everything in 1 trip to a shop. Or maybe a 'build off' where each of you get a matching tank & get a set amount of money (maybe $100 or something) to build each of your own tanks.

Love guppies so much. They are so colourful and active, as well as being fairly easy to keep and breed one day when I can set up a tank of my own they are definitely what I'll be starting with. Totally going to be using the tips and tricks you've shown on your channel to do it too.
Been a fan of the channels for years. You’re very lucky to have such a quality shop to work with. Guppies are my favorite too, my current 20gallon is on the 5th generation.

I honestly think the Mopani was a great choice. It's always my first choice of wood because it's what's most available and it's very easy to just plop and make it look amazing from every angle.

Between you and Matt and keeping fish simple, you guys have helped me learn so much of accurate and invaluable info. In total I’ve lost 5 or 6 fish during my first year of fish keeping. I’m glad it’s not higher but I still feel guilty to this day. It’s not like owning a cat or a bird or a dog. They’re whole being is hinged on you taking care of things properly and swiftly. Water parameters, co2, fertilizers and so on all contribute to beautiful tanks but can also kill your fish. So it’s important to try and inhale all the knowledge you can get before starting. Even if you are like me and did research for a few months you’ll still have some issues. Once you get everything dialed in and running itself it feels so rewarding. Sadly I got influenza a 3 days ago and my glofish died. So did one of my new blue shrimps. Idk how the glofish died, she was young, my glofish had babies 6 months ago and that was the offspring. Only thing off was that her fins were nipped and no other fish was that way. So my assumption is that she got bullied by a dwarf puffer. Since I’ve been stuck in my room I’ve been watching the tank closely and haven’t seen any abnormal behavior. So I’m not sure what happened. The water was tested 4 days ago with 0-0-0 on everything.
I do love this tank! It is a real nice mix of guppies. Dragon stone is pretty awesome in a scape, and the wood touches it off nicely. All in all, I really do love this build. Thanks guys, another nice collab! You guys have gotten to work together so well, and yes we do care about the hair discussions! Thanks for the laughs you give us! Merry Christmas you guys!
API Accu Clear is great stuff. I use it and it works really well. Watching the two of you guys has helped me with my planted aquariums a lot. I’ve had some live plants in the past but I usually had fish that were large and the plants didn’t survive. I love the scaping and trimming. Happy Holidays gents.

This totally inspired me to do a guppy/tetra 100 litre nano tank! Stunning! Also I’ve never kept guppies before so quite comforting to know they’re too dwellers mainly (I alway worry about oxygen when my fish swim at the top!)

I have been binged watching your videos for the last couple weeks and everytime it's an amazing experience. I wish any suppliers near my house were as great as your store. Every store near me is run down, smells bad and has a tendency to have dead fish. You two have such an amazing chemistry wish I had a fun fish friend lol.

In my experience as a kid, and meeting other kids with guppy tanks, is also that they are quite fun for the fact that they'll often end up with fry regularly.

Such a pretty tank! I had no idea how many beautiful varieties of guppies there are. I would be delighted to have this tank in my home. But, I’m in the US. I’ve been to a few nice fish stores, but yours is the most beautiful I’ve seen. It’s the setup, your rocks, wood and the live plants. I’ve not seen aqua scape aquariums like yours and they’re way above and beyond the tanks with plastic.
Matt has great hair, maybe the best hair. A lot of people are saying it, not me, but I've heard it from a lot of people. Also, his hands are a totally normal size.

Guppies are the snoops of the fish world. Gossiping Guppies. They snoop in every little pocket and expanse, checking out corners, then get distracted because two fish are having a spat so they have to go check that out. Its like they greet each fish as they pass and then say, "that's a good corner over there, go check it out..."
And then they push out babies and eat them if the little fry swims in front of them. Moms they are not. 😀
I love LOVE tanks with small fish, its so much more colorful and busy than some huge fish where you can only have 3-4 fish for the entire set up! You are killing me with the fish you keep picking, my 50 gallon tank had tons of neons, danos, rasboras, and yes, lots of guppies gossiping.
