- South Dallas is an area in Dallas, Texas. It is south of Downtown Dallas, bordered by Trinity River on the west, Interstate 30 on the north, and the Great Trinity Forest to the south and east. South Dallas is home to predominantly African-American and Hispanic neighborhoods, and the area also has one of the highest rates of poverty and unemployment in Dallas. It is also one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Dallas Texas, U.S.A.

I'm from the south side of oak cliff, out of towners think that South Dallas and South Oak Cliff are the same. It's not but I love my city just the same. This is a great video❤.

Facts
Great work. Thank You
I'm born & raised from South Dallas
South Dallas use to be the place back in the day.
Your video music is good; looks like you were driving thru small sections of Pleasant Grove, Oak Cliff and South Dallas light industrial/ business sections with various housing. It would have been great if you would have narrated, so people unfamiliar would know where you were driving in the city. Continue to show your city. 😊
The hood looks like some part of Ghana 🇬🇭 ..Nice video and soundtrack…I enjoy the scene..I love the trees 🌲..
Then link up up for growth, also in Ghana
Aye, is Black Jack's still open? Them burgers were 🔥I ain't been on the Sunny Southside in a long time.
Never been to TX. thanks for the drive!
Great perspective of the city
This is my hood.❤❤❤
Scared to come down in the bottom to Bonton they never go down there across the tracks
One of the more grimey parts of Dallas.I'm in Pleasant Grove which is not far from South Dallas but it depends what part of the Grove your at.I seen Dallas police pull people over because they are not black and also if your driving by trap house neighborhoods and if your not black which most of South Dallas are trap houses and people hustling on the corner your going to get rolled for real 😂😂 I also seen neighborhoods in the south getting gentrifified so they built brand new apartments around Bexar St.South Dallas is still a wild area
They tried to gentrified south Dallas but it didn't work out like they thought. I heard about the new apartments and farmers market out their idk
Frfr im from funkytown east side where we bloody but when i was on malcolm x i seen so many mfs all flamed up damm near on every corner shit was brazy
South Dallas is rough😮
The apartments i moved into coming from Terrell TX in '59 I'm 70 years old and the apartments 😂 are still there in operation. 😮 Water boy for the Dallas Cowboys at one time in ' 64 I was 10 years old for 25 cent a game met some of the greatest. I remember when black people could only attend the fair on the last day of the fair, yeah i was there during those times, which was the best times of my life in south Dallas 😮
I'm from South Dallas I loved this
I have a brother in law living in Dallas. I haven't come to Dallas yet, but one day in near future. Your video gives me a general view about this city. Thank you for your sharing.
This is isn’t all of the city just a small glimpse into the hood. The city is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen and I drive trucks across the us. I grew up in the hood in Dallas and my first job was in a upscale neighborhood in Dallas but somehow when I drive my rig through there I’m always amazed by how beautiful the city actually is the parts that not where the hood is but in the hood is where I had the time of my life growing up and some of the best memories that will last forever. And also some friends that will last forever. Some friends since I was 3 years old. With that being said explore the city not just TH-cam
Sunny South Dallas.
The Sunny! They always said they are going to take South Dallas back and they are on there way.
Nothing has changed… homeless tents weren’t there during 80’s or 90’s ….
I'm from East Dallas. Born & Raised. But you can still find me off 175 & 2nd..

The weather nice over there from what it look like !!!
The weather is crazy. I've traveled a lot and had to live in many cities. Dallas weather is the most unpredictable and extreme. I miss some things about Dallas. The weather is the last thing I miss.
Beautiful day for a drive
Southside born and raised .
I'm traveling in Texas could you give some places to of interest or slow down the video a tad bit.
Very DANGEROUS Prt OUT TOWNERS COME VISTED BUT DONT STAY
You are skipping some of the nice areas in Sunny South D. You are focusing more on the some what run down part. Bon Ton has come up from the time I lived there in the late 60’s though the mid 70’s
Beautiful place ❤❤❤
That's my stomping grounds

HE AINT GO BY THE FAIR PARK OR MLK
He did
No it wasn't none of that back then 😢
COME TO LOUISIANA
Go to KIEST and POLK
Or Denley and Morrel😂
A wish I would give you something gos ago bless you
WHAT??
No Fair Park didn’t ride down colonial. South Side
I'm from Philadelphia I've lived in South Dallas why doesn't Erykah Badu help her community???
Looks pretty "normal" to me. I live in Arlington, TX now right by the stadium, but I've been to many other "hoods" in my life. I've seen far worse and far better.
But every one of them is neglected and/or revered for both positive and (mostly) negative reasons.
The only thing is,that you were driving too fast....
I was gonna say if that's south Dallas how are you missing the sky line
From the south side
This ain't nothing compared to the the Dixon circle & Bon-Ton days 💯 if you don't know now you know ✌🏿
Can you explain Bonton and Dixon circle. I recently learned about Bonton but bc of Bonton farm, which is a new development at the end of MLK. I’m honestly really intrigued by SD I’ve been to some parts but with folks I know. Today I attempted to go to Bonton farms but, I would probably stand out too much 😂. There’s a beauty to South Dallas and its people.
nice.
This not the south where the cotton bowl where is the heart of the south the packing house the strip family dollars the park Lincoln high school baby this not the south font bother you unless u come with drama period...
WHAT?
South oak cliff texas.
Typical southern country town! Wide open spaces and strip malls...one big suburb.
😎
South Dallas don't look like that any more ever one trying to move here now beautiful home and nice apartment go back and see I from South Dallas I know
So people are trying to make it nicer and you're mad? 😂
@@DontDrinkthatstuffnobody said she mad. but she wrong doe cause it still look like ts
Rise in South Dallas, 1991 pine @Col
Disney,Texas folks say south Dallas dangerous🤣Clearly they’ve Neva stepped foot outside of Dallas,Try South Texas Houston G-county, Beaumont etc🤘🏾
Dude Literally Houston just got how it is. Dallas for decades was the most dangerous city in Texas, esp the 90’s. Frontline and other national news highlighted dallas as part of the drugs and war zone.
Cool place
Great
