WOW! You went from 0 to 60 in only one song... that's good. Because it's what BABYMETAL does: mixing all music genres possible with metal and hitting all the registers.
It's great to see that the collaboration with "The First Take" is bringing more reactors close to the Fox Hole. 😁
They started in 2010 when they were 12 and 11 years old. And besides their young age, their name was chosen for two main reasons:
- To symbolize that they gave birth to a new genre of metal music (kawaii metal).
- Because the writing (and pronunciation) in Japanese is very similar to the writing of "heavy metal" (and they love puns):
BABYMETAL = ベビメタル (be-bi-me-ta-ru)
heavy metal = ヘビメタル (he-bi-me-ta-ru)
"Amore" is a great song and it's among my top favorites indeed, being myself a huge power/speed metal fan. Although it's "just" a Su-metal's solo (which means she's not performing with the usual backup singers / dancers on this one). She has three more solo songs: "Akatsuki" which I highly recommend on its both versions: regular and "unfinished" (acoustic, just like "Monochrome"), "Rondo of Nightmare" and "No Rain no Rainbow".

I enjoyed your video! BABYMETAL is one of a kind, they started at the age of 11-12 years old and have been making music for about 13 years now. The song Amore is power metal, which is a genre with very fast instrumentals. BABYMETAL is however a very diverse metal group. They have many calmer songs too, if Amore is overwhelming. I don't know what genres you normally listen to, but no matter which, BABYMETAL has surely combined them with metal in a few songs. "Brand New Day" or their newest single "Light and Darkness" if you like pop. "No Rain No Rainbow" if you like ballads. I could go on for a long time... they have released over 50 songs so far.

I think if you ask Metallica or Nightwish fans they would say they are metal. But you are right, Babymetal songs can be heavier, but they have songs less heavy too. They are all over the place, but not in a bad way, in a creative way.
Babymetal's biggest show in Europe was Wembley Arena which is a 12000+ venue. Babymetal sells out shows of 3000+ or 2000+ fans in the Netherlands. But they will be special guests (other words for: the biggest opening band) at the Sabaton show at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on 3th of May this year.

Nice 1st and 2nd reactions to Babymetal. After these two performances you may be a little surprised by their earlier songs/performances. The girls were very young 11 & 13 🤔 and the songs reflect their age. Have fun!

This was a Suzuka Nakamoto solo. The compilation you just reacted to had footage with LIVE audio edited in from Tokyo Dome which sold out 55,000 fans on 2 consecutive nights and Wembley Arena which also sold out.

Nice reaction. well, it started off slow. As others have said if it sounds like one genre it's not a Babymetal song. Here we get ballad and petal to the metal speed metal going in the same song. Su showing us what a great singer she is even at this age. This is a love song. Babymetal style of course. Love the bass solo near the start of the song. The Kamiband the stage band for Babymetal are all very talented. A staple of Babymetals music is the strong positive message that many of their song have. All part of the up-lifting feeling that many have when listening to Babymetal. And why their live performances have become known as life altering experiences. The euphoric feeling after many times has been known to last a long time. Lucky for us Babymetal has returned to their metal kingdom. The stage in front of a live audience. next shows are the 1st and 2nd of April. Welkom in de wereld van Babymetal! Amore is een van de geweldige songs van ze, maar er is nog zoveel meer te ontdekken! Luister Amore nog een keer met koptelefoon op en luister naar het ritme en tempo van Su-metal ten opzichte van de muziek! Geweldig dat ze zich ook niet laat opjagen door het tempo van de rest!
