I love it 🙌🙌🙌 I hope you like it and with experimenting I will probably have another diy laundry soap video within the next year once summer hits and I’m able to use my mint and possibly lemon balm too! 😁
I do something similar when i make my laundry pwder... Lately, ive been making my liquid detergent... I will be trying foca the next time i make the powder!
Wow I just found your channel and I can't say enough good things about you girl. I enjoyed the intro I totally forgot this was a laundry detergent video 😂 Subscribed and liked❤
I have used washing soda in previous batches so up to you! I am experimenting with liquid detergent right now and did use borax and washing soda in it 😁
I always suggest this fully dissolves before adding your laundry so I don’t think this would fully dissolve in cold. I would take some laundry detergent and dissolve in cup of warm water and then pour into cold water in your washer. You could dissolve a decent amount in hot water and put into a separate container to store and then pour out how much you need if doing a cold water laundry load. I don’t do cold water laundry so this is only my options of what I would do if I needed a cold water only laundry load and had this detergent.
Do Not Use Zote Soap if you have a HE washer! It tells you on the soap or flakes box not recommended. Foca is your detergent so you don't need Zote. Thanks for sharing!
I am still using this recipe currently! I have seen a liquid laundry detergent recipes that I will experiment with next summer but this is my go to as of right now 😁
Good question, the Foca detergent is good if you only wash whites and colored clothes. With me having pets the zote bar has a citronella smell that I do feel repels insects and is a great stain remover. With me having dogs I don’t think I would skip the zote bar as I have dissolved my laundry detergent and scrubbed dog bedding and let it presoak before doing a laundry load. Feel free to omit the zote and update me later on if you’re happy with the results! 😁
@@WorkFromHomeDogMom I hope this works great on taking out the smell in my little dogs bedding, cause before it still kinda lingers. So I'm hoping with the homemade laundry detergent it works..
@@celinamoore2350 I hope you like it and if you need an extra boost I use Odoban just a two second splash in with the laundry (you can find it as one of my first videos on Odoban)
I bought 1L of liquid laundry detergent and about fell over when I saw it was $19.98! I needed a liquid dispensing bottle as I’m experimenting with liquid laundry detergent right now but definitely has been a long while since I bought detergent from a store and plan on continuing to make my own
My husband and I made the homemade laundry detergent for the first time yesterday. We got 2 Zote Bars (grated half), a box of Borax, a box of Arm and Hammer Washing Soda, A bag of the Ariel laundry detergent, the small one, (people are saying it's like Biz), and the Oxi Clean and scent boosters I got from DTree..My husband goofed and dumped the whole box of washing soda, and the whole bag of the ariel before I could tell him 3 cups of each, omg.. We didn't have a 5 gallon bucket. We have the bucket that was 30 bucks filled with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, that we got a little while back. I told him we weren't buying that again, We'd go find a bucket somewhere else. So that was a rip off. But in the end he got the candy, and I got the bucket to finally do this. When we made the batch, it filled the bucket up half way, so I'm thinking it may possibly hold a double batch..We will try that when this runs out. But I am gonna keep this stuff stocked up, now that we've finally tried it. We will be washing our first load in it today, so I hope it does great..
Very nice price! I’m going to experiment with liquid laundry detergent this year so will keep everyone posted and if I like it I will do a video. One of my senior pups has cancer so we are trying to reduce as many unnatural/synthetic smells, colors and products as possible ❤️ Let me know how you like it!
Great question and that would come down to each individual to test out! So I have 4 large dogs and 4 cats and we can deal from pee-poop to vomit and the zote bar has citronella scent which deters bugs from clothes and pet bedding. If you’re household isn’t as crazy as mine - definitely give foca only a try and see how it does with colors and whites! Feel free to post a response on your conclusion of using Foca only. I will have to try this in the future as comparison. Thank you!
I'd stay away from borax. I mean, if it says on some packages that it might disrupt ur hormonal balance and you shouldn't use it while pregnant, it's a pretty good indicator it's toxic and you don't want it absorbed by ur skin. I recommend using: washing soda, baking soda, citric acid, salt and grated soap in ur laundry detergent. Happy DIY-ing!
Well let’s just say if the lid isn’t on and snapped on right all the way around and you shake it inside your house… be prepared to have a lot of clean up as it will be dusty and messy until everything settles down🧹😜
I use zote or felthnaptha washing soda boarax and the ficca sometimes love the ficca and Ariel Downey laundry powders and oxiclean oderblasters best laundry powder I've ever smelled and gets all stains out too promise
It’s the shaking/mixing the laundry detergent. By explode I don’t mean a literal explosion just that if the lid isn’t on properly or you bought a bucket with a defective lid that can easily pop off and you’re shaking and mixing the bucket and the lid comes off or one end isn’t snap locked you will have all this laundry powder all over your house.
Not surprised - I’m in Ohio so prices will be lower but gas is going up here over $0.30 in a night so there will probably be another price increase in everything.
That’s why I stocked up on some of these to have on hand so I wouldn’t have to pay these higher prices and they will probably continue to go higher and higher. Crazy how a 4 month video is out of date in pricing 🤯

I make just about same recipe but do you not need washing soda or baking soda with the foca??

thank you so i much 🎉 im going to try it,
Great video but when I use powder it doesn't desolve well do you use it in cold and hot water and thanks
I read somewhere to dissolve the amt you're using in hot water before adding to washing machine
Does this work well in cold water

Yes always check any products that are used to make sure they are compatible with your washer!
Wait so if you have an HE, you just leave out the zote?? Sorry new to this.
do you still use this or have you changed it up?

Since we start doing diy laundry detergent .we become so frugal .we doesnt go to supermarket anymore to buy our laundry detergent

Is Foca bad on its own or something? I guess I'm just wondering why not just use the Foca as is.
Great question and that would come down to each individual to test out! Thanks for sharing. How much detergent do you use per load?
You’re welcome! I use 1-2 TB for regular load. Some may like it stronger so start out with that and adjust as needed for your liking!

Borax is fine. Just one rat study, never confirmed, made claims about those problems.
what do you mean "incase my bucket explodes"?!?!?! why will or would it explode?

Welcome to my channel!
I make mine the same except I skip the Oxy and use powdered all color bleach...
Thank you for sharing this with everyone!
What are the exact oz. of each product you buy?
Instead of oxyclean, there is the up and up oxygen powder which is a little less than $5 or the Purex laundry boost/odor which is $2.50
Why would the tub explode?
It’s the shaking/mixing the laundry detergent. By explode I don’t mean a literal explosion just that if the lid isn’t on properly or you bought a bucket with a defective lid that can easily pop off and you’re shaking and mixing the bucket and the lid comes off or one end isn’t snap locked you will have all this laundry powder all over your house.
