Columbian Vise Restoration

- In this video I do a quick restoration on a vintage Colombian vise. This is a beautiful old tool that I found at an estate sale and I got it for free. I brought it home tore it apart and Clean the whole thing with super clean. Then I washed it with soapy water and also cleaned it and prepped it with wax and grease remover. I painted the vise and Put it all back together so I can use it on my welding table. It turned out beautiful. It’s like brand new now. This will get many years of use! Hope you enjoy the video. BTW, on the backside of that screw nut, there should be a pin through the vise body that keeps that nut from getting pushed out the back. You can drive that pin out and then the nut comes right out.

I have basically receiver hitches all the way around my bench. I have 3 different vices and a Hossfeld bender all mounted to 2" tubing so I can use them wherever I want around the table. Or just move them out of the way. I made a heavy base on wheels with a receiver on it so I can use them all away from the bench too.
That’s kind of the idea that I wanted to do on this thing but you have all the damn receiver hitches lol

I did my vice a while back ,I didn't take it apart I cleaned it up and painted I even painted the latter's a different color. It already looks old.

I have a Columbian 804 vise, a substantial old thing, made with steel plate welded to the top and front. Yours turned out awesome! Great looking old American vise!

I think I commented on an earlier video you did with the super clean, but the stuff is definitely awesome, and you can use the concentrate to strip paint with out damage. I love building model cars and have bought some that was not finished or needed refurbished, and I have soaked them in this stuff overnight. By morning I could just wipe 98% of the old paint off and the plastic was left pristine! It even works on enamel paint, for models anyways, I can't say for all enamel paint applications. And I could just pour it back in the jug to be used again, and it can be reused many times.
When Arco buys shit at the swap meet it already has his name on it. 🤣
