- In this video I take a rusty old bench vise and restore it to a beautiful useful tool. I use a expanding sanding drum and Baldor buffer to remove the rust and tooling marks. I paint the vise with Rust-Oleum Dark machine grey. Thanks for watching.
finally a vise resto with someone who knows to use oil not grease! nice job sir.
You are doing that on your surface plate? Brave.
I was thinking the exact same thing. There's a machinist crying while watching this.
WTF???
Cracking resto job, given me inspiration to do one I've got sitting about 👍👍
Will your next video be on refurbishing a granite plate? Dear lord that made me cringe.
Nice job. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Buddy
You make it look easy:) nice forearms 💪🏾
There is a special place in hell for people who throw away a good vise , and a special place in heaven for the one who restores them 😂

Good work….
Thanks
Great job! Came out looking nice. I just started a refurbish on a Reed 214 R. The color you chose to do yours is what Iam leaning towards. Thank you Sir.

Use a wooden workbench for working, NOT your flat stone!
