I'm retired... All facts tho. I'm an adidas head but my big brother worked in the mall, so I had every pair of Cortez that we accepted in the set. Solid white, solid blak, solid gray, gray and white, clear bottoms, blue waffle bottoms were all my favorites plus they go good with the khaks until they started with the plastic swoosh. These days I'm back on the three stripes from head to toe down to the sox. Those shoes being bak all the memories of highschool.

I jumped a fence to play basketball and not even 5 minutes later I was approached. Was asked who I was and where I was from. After telling them I was from another country and talking for a few minutes. They politely explained to me that I was not allowed there and asked me to leave. Many people had died at this playground. It was closed for a reason. They told me I was in danger. I found out later I was in the middle of the most dangerous neighborhood in McFarland. I never cut my hair or wear blue or red!!! I found out quickly that gangs are real! They will check you.
Back in the mid 80's i purchased a pair of nike cortez snake. While holidaying in the USA. The nike swash was made of black snake skin. They were available in the US, but i never came across them here in the UK, which is a shame, cause they would have been a great selker.
