Just sharing you this, as Romans 6:23 says, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. God loves you so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to pay the price of all our sins. After 3 days after he died,he rose up from the dead. He will accept you not matter what you been through or have done. Accept the lord Jesus Christ as you lord and savior and ask forgiveness of all your sins to be saved from sin and have eternal life and not go to hell Jesus is our only hope for salvation and the if you don’t accept him you will not heaven and you will go to hell if you don’t accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior ❤
@@gavcustomsno shoes can protect you from that, you have to improve your hip muscles and balance, plenty of people have rolled their ankle in high tops and weren’t able to still do open runs that day, either that or wear ankle braces
you have a good point but I had a shoes (and1 spree) and those shoes had a anti torsion system that worked pretty well. I have always had issues with my ankles and wearing those shoes prevented me from getting a sprained ankle so many times, I remember that one time I jumped and my left ankle was about to get sprained but those shoes prevented my ankle getting hurt.
Kobe 9s weren’t about ankle support at all it was a low top that looked like a high top. Kobe designed it like a boxers shoe after watching Manny Pacquiao boxing and was impressed by his footwork
I’m all in on the KB9. Still have the black, red, and Bruce Lee. All for gym only. I’m a 14.5 and they’re still my favorites. The KB6 was great. But the 9 is best for me.
That's just to not piss off volleyball purists. Many volleyball players openly wear basketball shoes. Aside from Kobe 6s I see KDs, Lebrons, and Currys on volleyball courts.
My theory is that low - to mid-cut bball shoes are better for your ankles because they allow your muscles to actually work. High-tops limit your ankles to depend on the sneaker.
You’re gonna roll your ankle either way.. Plus less material = lighter.. If it wasn’t the fact Kobe was a soccer fan where they only wear low cut cleats so Kobe pushed the bar higher buy making shoes lower
It's actually true that it's for ankles. But you're actually right about it being stiff. Your knees would get compromised because of it. That's why I'm wearing mid cut shoes lol
High cuts feel way too chunky on my feet. Mid cuts are the best. If I need any more ankle protection I'd wear straps/braces but even that'd mean I gotta go half a size up on my shoes. Compression socks are the best.
Yep, they're supposed to feel stiff, that's what ankle-protection means. Perosnally it saved me from a bad ankle sprain on more than one occasion. Low cuts definitely feel better, no question about it, but less secure. Some people say "just wear ankle braces" or would lecture you about strengthening your ankles, but every foot's anatomy is different and there's no single truth that will work for everyone.

To be honest the VI, VII and X are the bests basketball shoes that I ever worn, they might be not having the catchiest colorway and materials at the time but, they are the comfiest and even fit nicely on the forefoot. Making it easier to move around the court
Kobe 9 is truly overrated. Clunky, stiff, heavy. Great traction and decent cushion. I got 2 bethovens and they are not good performers. Haven't tried 9 EM yet but it makes sense why they would create one.
The Kobe VI are low tops, low to the ground outsole, and barely any heel drop (basically flat) everything from they Kobe V and after are basically a modern Converse All Star. Converse got it right over 100 years ago, you can actually ball in the Converse Chuck 70, the rubber outsole and the cushion insole provides enough protection (don’t try to play in the cheaper Chuck’s though, they are literally defined as slippers to avoid import tax laws). The whole “low cut,low outsole” is genius marketing, Bill Russell was jumping out of the gym every game in low cut Converse All Stars, look at old NBA photos from 1950s-60s, the low top Chucks were just as popular as the high tops. TIME IS A FLAT CIRCLE ⭕️.
@@bball3048mmfr Yea, that is the problem with Signature Shoes, they are made for a specific person then sold to the masses. Luckily I have a narrow foot so Kobe’s work for me, while Lebron’s feel like work boots. Also love those Converse Pro BB Eclipse in low, which I know is based on one of the Kobe’s.
The 1st shoe I ever saved up for and used my own money playing basketball in high school-wore them for 3 years and played in 2 state championships. Retired them after HS but I still have my royal blue Kobe VI's. Not a fan of the crazy color ways really, but I will contend that this is the best hooping shoe ever made.
I had the same blue camo ones when I was young, and man they were awesome. My favorite of all time for sure. We called them the avatars, because the movie released short before they dropped.
Realistically because Zoom Turbo is the best thing and it’s set up well in Kobes. Also honouring a legend that they desire to emulate in some ways (I’m not sure 😢Nike have done it perfectly but they’ve done it pretty well)

In the past, most of players love the Kobe 6. As a memory for Kobe Bryant, we will have Kobe 6 for remembrance for him. We will give respect for him after his Tragedy in 2020. Rest in peace, Kobe Bryant.
Another thing I’ve noticed besides so many players wearing Kobe’s/6’s, is that players more so then regular folks have Kobe in their goat discussion more often. I personally have always said MJ, Kobe, then LBJ. The average person it’s MJ or LBJ 95% of the time. I think what the players think speaks volumes
05:18 ...for the same reason that pro bball players wrap their ancles solid with tape while in other sports they don't. Basketball is a sport where you jump among many players and thus you have higher chances of landing on top of another foot and sprain your ancle. Kawhi could say a lot about the matter :P . Of course the low cuts have other advantages but for all the non pros that play basketball out there and don't get their ancles braced by some physio guy before the games, the mid-high cuts offer some protection
Plus all the pros are doing so many polymetrics for ankle stability and mobility. Their muscles and joints are on whole another level. Regular folks playing for fun without all those extra stuff, might find use of the mid-cut more.
Haven't really had a chance to rock that many really nice basketball shoes, but my favorite's thus fare are the Westbrooks Why Not 0.5s. My bum ankles really like these for whatever reason lol. They are really supportive, I literally never turned my bum ankles in these and I've had them for over 2 years now! Really light, the front sole is very soft and comfy and nice. My feet are quite narrow and these fit really tight, so I guess that's one of the reasons. I then got the Why Not 0.6 and they are not very good. The support is not that good, I turned the ankle twice in a few weeks, on just random movements... Not nearly as soft or comfortable on the soles, kind of feel like you are standing on solid ground, but not in a good way lol. So I still play in the 0.5s all the time, I only wear the 0.6s when I'm shooting around without much intensity. I just feel like my ankles will go at any time! I'm ordering the new ones soon, they look awesome, One Take 5 Quai 54s! They are "only" $100 and I really like them and they have nice reviews, so I think they'll be much better than the 0.6s.

The zoom freaks, I sometimes do get out of control in, but I have gotten better at managing that and using that extra speed in a good way.
