same with me, Genesis isn't getting the attention they deserve, they've been doing a great job with their designs, despite being a new brand in the luxury market, they didn't just copy off the Germans. They've adopted their own unique design language, they've developed their vehicles to make them unique to Genesis. They are more than just Korean BMWs or Mercedes. It doesn't look like they went overboard with the tech either, which is what the Germans have done with their cars and its just way too much.
Man Genesis makes some sexy interiors. Now this is luxury.

Absolutely love it … preparing to lease a GV70 and saw the G90 on the showroom floor … really hoping Genesis gets more support from the consumer base to keep their innovation and unique aesthetics moving forward.
Having more dealerships around would be a start.
Having to take a $60K car to a Hyundai dealership for an oil change is not very appealing for most.

This is definitely my favourite modern full-size luxury sedan! The exterior design is totally unique and so beautiful! Interior looks great too! Lots of cool features like automatic closing doors! Overall a great car! Genesis absolutely knocked it out of the park with the new G90!

Amazing exterior and the wheel design is my favorite part of the styling. Interior is off the charts. Amazing how far Genesis has come. The GV70 is on the wish list...hopefully you can test drive the upcoming GV70 Electrified that's due out this year..

I think I prefer the G80's design over this one. This actually reminds me something of the GV60. Maybe we've come to the point that regular cars are so quiet and smooth that luxury cars can't distinguish themselves so much. The back seat is large and has a bunch of recline features but beyond that, is it really anything that stands out? In the video, is it really any quieter than some of the BEVs you tested when cruising? And they're quieter when accelerating. Not saying it isn't a very nice car, but like the BMW i7 and the Mercedes S, maybe there's nothing more to add to luxury and now they all seem over the top.

After all these years of saying ''Genesis is almost there", Genesis is officially there and ready for the competition. For the price, I would rather get this instead of its German counterparts.
I know the Genesis has been making waves over the last few years, but with this effort, I'd say they have arrived. Good for them, it really does look unique from any angle. No more BMW lines.

This is beyond spectacular vehicle...
I love the front end design but dislike the rear end. I also like the wheels. But the most impressive part to me is the cabin. It is stunning and loaded with almost everything imaginable. As an almost 4 year Genesis G70 owner I can attest to the quality of their vehicles.
People have been saying the side mirror camera is a Hyundai thing but Honda get the credit for starting that feature
Finally they made a car that satisfy both driver and passenger, the user interface are easily understandable. I'm still figuring out what "power reserve" means in a Rolls Royce until now

I think if I was in the market for something of this class I would have to go genesis, they just seem so much better built and higher quality then their German and European counterparts.

You can tell just by the lack of camera shake/bounce just how smooth the ride quality is. Really awesome job. Sucks that there's no wireless Android Auto/CarPlay but hopefully in a year or two that's added.

@@joseadorno292 i did mention the sales, its the ultimate measure of the automaker's success. I am comparing apples to apples within luxury car segment. While Genesis has upscale design its not up to the level of an S Class for example, actually is not even in the same league. Its main and only competitive advantage is lower price and possibly better reliability(that quality seems to be of less relevance among the high earners driving those cars)

I've always loved the G90, and this seems like a substantial upgrade on all luxury fronts, though maybe not much of a power upgrade.
Genesis seems to be out Lexus-ing Lexus on their former core philosophy: a luxury vehicle should not call attention to itself, but invisibly cause its occupants to arrive refreshed and relaxed.
I agree, and find this sort of competent, unobtrusive luxury extremely appealing. Well done Genesis, and well done Chris!

Genesis is slaying it on their new vehicles and on their flagship luxury sedan they know the mission of this car, unlike Lexus which has turned the LS into a mish mash trying to be an overly sporty Lux saloon that it once reigned so supreme at that mission.

It´s unbelievable that Genesis can sell this huge luxury car for only $ 100k, for $ 100k you can buy in Germany a Mercedes C-class with 400+ HP
I've been looking into getting a Benz for a while now but ever since I've started watching these G90 videos I can't stop thinking about them. The interior is too good and it comes with so many features and functionalities that a lot of the Mercedes cars don't have even in this price range.
Did you decide already? How does it compare to Mercedes S class?

Passenger side wiper is not cleaning the way it should be lol. I don't know if its the wiper or something else. @11:28

Sad part is most people cant afford this and most people have families and i wouldn't say this is family friendly although it has everything anyone can possibly dream of in a car.. i have a feeling unfortunately this will get discontinued shortly...
I think this car needs too be at least 500-1000lbs lighter if possible too match the engine power. But i aint gunna lie genesis is on my list to get one either gv70-gv80 but if it were up to me id get the g70 but my wife likes crossover suvs lol.. i think hyundai and kia and genesis are all doing a fabulous job and they will only continue too get better.. they may take over the car industry for a while eventually or atleast be in the top 5-10 that would be absolutely craziness..
Also cant beat there warranty..

I've been a pretty big Merc/BMW/Audi fan in the past...but I'd take this straight up over the Germans, as crazy as this sounds. Would definitely take this over the Lexus, and it's not even close. Keep up the amazing work!

Sorry, but I’d never buy a Hyundai over a German car! You can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig. This car looks like an Elantra on the outside and looks really cheap interior. But if you like that then have at her, just don’t put it in the same sentence as German cars.

It´s a little bit that they only can put 409 HP out from this engine, normally they can bring easy 450 HP on the table.
Why didn't the designers make a notch on top of the grille to make it look more like a heart?
And a pretty significant increase in price. The top of the line increased from $82,000 to $99,000. This increase pushed it past my limit.
409 horsepower? The old available 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 originally put out 427 Horsepower.
No spare??......I hate that.....My 2013 Genesis has a donut spare on an aluminum rim. There should be enough room for a spare, in the trunk (besides the battery)
Mine is going on 10 years old, with zero mechanical failures.
Insane to remember when I was a little kid Hyundais were known as a piece of crap on wheels with a 10 year/100k warranty with a brand new one costing ~$10k. Pure volume manufacturer. Now they make some of the best looking best quality cars on the road.

Sure, the door closes smoothly at the end of push and button it is called ghost door in Korea. I dont know it is basic or optional trim
