My mic has a good amount of static like that lav mic but I was able to basically completely remove it. What I did was recorded the static using audacity by boosting the gain then just recording silence so that only the static was audible. Then I used audacity's analyze -> plot spectrum feature to look at what frequency is loudest in that static. I then went to the configurator and added a notch filter with a "q factor" of 2 or 3 at that frequency. This lowered the volume of the static significantly. It did mess with the sound of the mic so I had to use eq to make it sound normal again and added some noise suppression so now my mic sounds much better and there's no static.
Apparently equalizer APO has compatibility issues in windows 11. Sometimes it works sometimes not. I was desperate to make this work so i had to revert back to windows 10 and i have no regrets!!! My mic now sounds better 🎉❤
i know the video is old but i have some issues with that because i have blue yeti that is not that problematic with noise but i still wanted to completely clean the rest of "room noise" and i have creative sxfi air gamer as an headset but i have issues with that effect that is applying on both headphones and microphone even if microphone is checked as a capturing device. idk if there is a solution for that or maybe better program has been released in this 2 years but i think i can't use eqapo
@@UnfilteredBits yeah it could be a problem but i have discovered that this could be an driver error and after update and rebooting headphone driver this problem vanished. You can say about that in new video and thanks for response
You helped my problems for the noise suppression in the other video of yours but is it possible if you shared the txt file where you had configured the reaeq plugin so that we can directly use it? I wanna try your plugin configuration with my mic. Honestly, I'm just so bad at configuring the plugin to make my voice exactly like what you made in the video.
RNNoise = Noise Suppressor | Noise Reduction = Reduces what's already heard of the noise floor. Kinda the same thing but noise suppressor only is one part of a noise' reduction, It is not a reaper plugin
Reafir would not work since eqapo works live with barely any delay so the information just isnt there for it to do the auto graph noise gate. Unlike in obs although it is live if you try monitoring it has some level of delay that’s where it gets the information for the reafir.
@@KyahShannon Yup that one is a USB-C version, and it is much more stable and better quality than using a jack' version. Anyway here is technically the same mic used in the video: t.ly/1bd2 (The exact link on where I bought it is gone, but this is basically the same one, just different store and a bit higher price. // lower shipping tho) if you want to use a jack version :)
I think it might have a difference. On a normal editing software interchanging compression (effect) and let us a graphic equalizer do change your voice's tone... so I think it does have. Personally I run rnnoise first before any other effect.
Sorry brother but i'm not that knowledgeable with linux. I did a quick search and found this tho unix.stackexchange.com/questions/485994/equalizer-apo-equivalent-for-linux , lmk if u find an alternative :D
Need your help bro I followed all your instructions but when I activate the RNnoise suppressor. my music, video files and in game audio, Suppressed it too. so I can only hear in game voices and for music like spotify I can hear vocals only and it keeps on Suppressing the musical instruments it's weird honestly hahaha. By the way I'm using Logitech G435 Wireless Headset as I want to test its built in Microphone audio quality using EqualizerAPO with RNNoise. salamat! :)
Hey, I know that this comment is old but, "on the device on the top right of EQapo, select your main microphone on the capture device which is the mic that you want to be affected by the added effect." that's how you fix that
Thanks dude. Any suggestions for a mic like the blue yeti? sounds good but picks up lots of background noise like when i type on the keyboard. Will these settings be pretty good for the blue yeti?
The settings here are as any other tutorial is made exactly towards my liking, the microphone and my voice. (Other variables affect it, the way I speak, and the audio device I am using to monitor me.), but, yes the rnnoise part of this video should do justice to the noise part. This is a pretty viable idea. But the one with eqapo is able to do it live. Your description is more of a post-edit rather than live 😄
@@UnfilteredBits I barely remember what I did but I'm pretty sure I used eqapo to turn down the frequencies of the peaks in that static.

Hi! I've been on Windows 11 since beta. Never had a problem with eqapo. Glad you found your way through your problem. Glad to still help :D
Perfect explanation, thank you so much sir!
Glad i am able to help!!

Thanks a lot, man. Your method really helped me ! Be blessed 🙏
Glad to hear that, bless you too brother :D
Thank you so much, now my friends can't hear my chewing, keyboard, squeaky chair, and the flinging of my mouse hitting my desk.

Make sure non is checked on the eqapo configurator. I'll create a new video about this soon. Although it won't be as light as eqapo.

yes! :)
what if im using aqua apo? is it just better to use a new config txt?
Personally I will just use a new one!
Can you share your podmic.txt file?

Does this help webcam mics?

RNNoise is the same as a Noise Reduction, right? Also was one of these reaper vst's a Noise Gate type of plugin?
RNNoise = Noise Suppressor | Noise Reduction = Reduces what's already heard of the noise floor. Kinda the same thing but noise suppressor only is one part of a noise' reduction, It is not a reaper plugin

Reafir would not work since eqapo works live with barely any delay so the information just isnt there for it to do the auto graph noise gate.
Unlike in obs although it is live if you try monitoring it has some level of delay that’s where it gets the information for the reafir.
What kind of Lavalier mic are you using in the video?

just wanna ask, does it make a difference with the arrangement of plugins? if i swap the arrangement of plugins im noticing a change in cpu usage

Do you think voicemeter is better than Equalizer apo
they have different purposes, for vsts it would be EQapo for doing the audio separation and other hooking; t'would be voicemeeter
